I am finding baby tiger snakes, baby brown snakes and of course baby lowland copperheads all over town. These are photos of my pet baby lowland copperhead born yesterday. Mum gave birth to 4 copperheads and I didn't even know she was carrying. Do not repeat the actions you see in these photos as these are the venomous baby snakes. Don't mind me as I was shooting a documentary about tiger snakes, I look down to notice that the fifth most venomous snake in the world had crawled up my leg and was looking at me. At the front of the venue it was seen and doing the right thing staff kept patrons away and called in the snake Hunter. It is perfectly safe to go to any RSL which do a fantastic job looking after our Australian veterans. DO CHICKENS ATTRACT SNAKES? After upending an entire chicken coup with an excavator, I found this brown snake that was hanging around near Doctors Gully Rd Doreen. Following I was asked if chickens attract snakes. The answer is NO. If you live in Australia snakes are everywhere. They are endemic to the nation and in Melbourne they show up anywhere. I have seen free range chickens chase snakes and coup chickens live happily with a snake. It most likely was the 15 mice under the chicken coup that may have contributed to the snake staying there however. Though I have found snakes in coups it is not the chickens fault. Rather try to keep the place clear of mice and construct the coop in such a way that makes it hard for snakes to stay hidden. TIGER SNAKE IN LOTS OF PAIN This snake was caught in netting around its mouth tonight. The more it struggled to escape the more it became caught up with netting trapped around its fangs so it was extremely dangerous to cut it off him especially in the dark under torchlight. As you can see the face became twisted from its pain amd the snake was bleeding a lot.
