Normally I ship Brainy and Smurfette but then this show got to come along and seeing Brainy and Blossom interact with each other it was cute then I watched the episode “Where’s my Smurfway” and I see these two moments they’re making it difficult for me to not ship them!

The Smurfs: A New Touch Of Blue synopsis thread Part 6

Say Smurf for the Camera!

Handy invents the ancestor of the Polaroid camera so that Painter can make portraits of all the village’s inhabitants (who won’t keep still), but almost all the Smurfs end up frozen in odd positions when Jokey swipes the faulty device. Our trio of Smurfs who have not been immobilized will have to act fast to stop Gargamel and Azrael from harvesting their friends... 

A little Smurf-Knowledge! AKA Manners Matter

Papa Smurf is nervous because the new Nature Fairy (Leaf) is coming for a visit. He thinks the village is clean and tidy and everything is perfect, until he sees the Smurfs manners are terrible! He calls in SmurfWillow AKA Willow and the girls to whip them into shape but their manners are really odd, but they are no better brought up than the boys!

The Wild Smurf is encrusted AKA The Guest Who Wouldn't Leave 

After Wild sprains his ankle, Brainy, Smurfette and Hefty put him in Papa Smurf’s house to recuperate while Papa Smurf is away. But once he feels better, Wild decides he doesn’t want to leave. Brainy and the others must find a way to get Wild out before Papa Smurf returns. 

Where is my Gyrosmurf? AKA Where's My Smurfway?

When SmurfBlossom AKA Blossom borrows Brainy’s beloved Smurfway (Segway), she inadvertently misplaces it and does her best to find it hoping Brainy won’t find out. 

The Talented Justa Smurf 

Justa Smurf, who is surrounded by Smurfs who are all “Something Smurf”, is still searching for his calling. When Papa Smurf suggests that he assist the other Smurfs in preparing the Great Spring Celebration, he goes from failure to failure, humiliating himself. He then has fun mimicking the Smurfs that he’s assisting, a gift which will reveal itself to be very useful to help save the Smurfs when they get captured by the dreadful Gargamel. 

Smurf, Yes Smurf!

While Papa Smurf is away, Brainy uses a potion to finally get everyone to do as he says. The Smurfs begin obeying his every whim, but when he sends some idle Smurfs off to gather berries, they have become so docile that they start following orders from Big Mouth... who of course is planning to use them as a sandwich filling! 

Mommy's Masterpiece

When other Smurf’s bail out on posing for Painter’s [latest] masterpiece, he finds a new, seemingly more supple subject in Mummy AKA Gargamel’s Mother. Though he, at first, believes her to be a true art lover, he soon discovers she’s a fickle friend and as evil as ever. And in the service of saving his friends, Painter must learn to sacrifice his art.  

Burglar Smurf AKA A Thief Among Us!

When the Smurf’s favorite things start disappearing all over the Village, everyone gets worried and suspicious. Brainy’s investigation is supposed to help, but it brings more questions than answers. Who could be the culprit? Could it be one of the Smurfs? What they will discover will surprise them beyond what they could have imagined!  

A Bulky Admirer AKA Ogre Love Pt. 1 and 2

When Smurfette pulls a splinter from Big Mouth’s thumb, he immediately falls in love with her and follows he back to the village. After he eats all the food and causes a host of problems, Smurfette asks him to leave. Not happy, he decides to take Smurfette back to his home! 

Big Mouth the Ogre has fallen in love with Smurfette and has brought her back to his lair. Unable to escape, Smurfette must concoct an elaborate plan that involves none other than Gargamel! 

The Observasmurf Course AKA Back to Nature 

Vanity, Poet and Dimwitty Dopey get lost in the forest while out plant-picking and show that they are incapable of bringing the correct plant back to Papa Smurf... Seeing as all Smurfs have to know how to take care of themselves in nature, Papa Smurf decides to send them to Wild for some nature lessons, supervised by Brainy. However, and of course, nothing goes as planned...

I just imagined that, what if- (could be a headcannon)

When Brainy has a breakdown, after he's thrown out of the village, hit with a mallet(which I almost hate everyone else for), or just upset

He would go like this and cuddle his smurfway for comfort, and ring his bell just for the comforting of fidgeting or the ringing noise

My Brainy headcannons

Give him praise,affection,attention, let him talk or stand up from him, he'll literally be smiling and crying for hours(poor bby doesn't usually get much attention like that)

Sometimes he wants to burn his books, but, they hold meaning

He writes um bad notes about himself, self hate

Pretends to think he's better than everyone else, but he actually feels like he's the worst and most worthless there

Sometimes he wonders why Smurfblossom and Clumsy can stand him

Literally is ATTACHED to his smurfway, if you dare try to ride it without him, he won't be happy, TRUST ME

He acts f*cking adorable, even when he's in lecture mode

People have modes to call him, there's lecture mode, Papa mode,annoying mode and then theres snarky/smart alec mode

He wonders why Brainy Pluff wasn't that much different from him

A Demisexual Pansexual

He has had a lot more injuries than you think, even more so than Clumsy himself

has literal PTSD over mallets- often has panic attacks when he sees one, mainly if it's above his head or in someone's hand, or if they are running with it

He needs therapy and love and self worth JESUS

Has a habit of staying up all night, mostly by anxiety and thinking too much

Wonders if they'll even cared if he died

Warning: I almost made myself f*cking cry writing this-

How did the day start exactly?

Well everything was perfectly smurfly. The smart smurf had woken up and got ready to help others around the village or smurf advice to them. He hummed as he got out his smurfway and started to ride it around town. Looking for any smurf that would need help, he kept a close eye out. 

Maybe he should stop opening his mouth, huh? 

It wasn't hard to see they didn't need any help from him of all smurfs. Everytime he ran into someone, they would all run away, groan or plug their ears until he stopped. It was always like this, he was glad they stopped throwing him out of the village honestly, but no matter what, whatever they did to him still hurt. He jinxed himself there. At first, it was the usual. 

"Hey Brainy! I've got a surprise! Hyuk-hyuk!"

Why does he still open that box when he knows what will happen?

BOOM

"GOT YOU! Hyuk! Hyuk! Hyuk!" 

"Smurf up Brainy"

"No smurf cares what you have to say"

"I know what i'm doing!"

"I don't like smurfs who talk too much"

"I'm sorry Brainy, I don't need you right now, maybe find something around the village to help around with or just patrol like usual?"

Like that was any good...

Oh but then, something worse happened. Hes such a fool. He should of known what would happen. Why did he have to smurf advice to Hefty? Oh right, because he ALWAYS smurfs advice to anyone. 

"You're doing it all wrong, maybe if you lifted will your shoulders instead of your legs, you would be much stronger and fast-" 

"That's it- I'm sick and tired of your yammering!" 

Brainy was a second too late before he knew what was coming. He flapped his arms as he was kicked into the air and into the outskirts of the village. He should of braced himself for impact, he landed in a tree first, peices of bark scratching against him each time he landed on a branch. 

He fell out from a tall height and landed sharply onto a rock. Stumbling from the fall he knocked himself into various places and his glasses were askew on his face. It's a good thing they weren't broken, but as he fixed them, he yelped and hissed in pain. Blood rushed out from cuts and bruises seemed to deepen their color so they were more visible. He had to get back to the village, he decided against telling Papa, he would do nothing about it. No, he wouldn't tell Papa, he needed to let this out himself.

To say Smurfblossom wasn't worried when she heard an all too familiar scream fill the air is an understatement. She was downright terrified for her friends life. She gulped and ran to the village, hoping some smurf would have the answer to what happened. Brainy never got lost, he would surely find his way back soon, he hated to be bossed around too much, so she stuck with figuring out what had happened. 

She asked around and soon enough after a lot of no's, head shaking, and Dimwitty just offering her a carrot, she approached Hefty. This was the last smurf she needed to check, if he didn't know, she didn't know what she'll do. 

Blossom knocked fast on the door and Hefty opened up, "Do you know what happened to Brainy? I heard him scream" her voice filled with worry exclaimed. Hefty rolled his eyes and was about to begin talking when all of a sudden the bell rang, they both paused what they were doing and ran to the tower.

Brainy was there, but he wasn't like any smurf seen before....

He was covered in bleeding out cuts, scars, bruises and scrapes all over. Rashes ran along his arms and a big one on his cheek. His hands were clenched into fists so much that any smurf was afraid he would make them bleed from too much pressure. 

The smurf was holding his left arm tenderly, like it was almost broken. His nose was bleeding too, pretty bad. Once Papa got there, he tried to run up to the injured smurf.

However, he was stopped by Brainy raising up his hand and growling out a "Don't come near me" 

"Brainy- what happened!?" Smurfette yelled out with concern, but he only turned to glare at her. He was trembling at this point, no he was downright shaking. Brainy snapped.

"Do you have any idea how it feels to get tossed out of the village on a daily basis every single smurfing day!? Of course you don't! I'm the only one who gets that treatment!" He laughs bitterly, and his voice turns up into a louder volume.

"IT SMURFING HURTS! EVERDAY, EVERY SINGLE DAY- EVERY SINGLE DAY THIS HAPPENS AND NO SMURF CHECKS UP ON ME OR EVEN NOTICES, NO SMURF EVEN TRIES TO STOP IT! I GET INJURED AND NO ONE SMURFS A SINGLE CARE IN THE WORLD, NO SMURF SAYS, "Oh hey, what happened to Brainy?" "Is Brainy okay?" "Is he hurt? Is he lost?" NO SMURF! ITS FINALLY SMURFED ME TO THE POINT WHERE I CAN'T SMURF IT ANYMORE- I- I C-I can't, I...I can't..."

Then he just broke, like a dam that was struggling so hard to hold the water in, had finally let it rush out into a waterfall of tears. Everyone stood there in shock, no smurf dared to make a single move or sound towards the spectacled smurf as he slid to the ground and started to cry, fogging up his glasses because of it. 

"Ho-How much is it to ask for a little respect every once in a while- o-or praise- or attention instead of being a punching back for everyone t-to poke around" Heavy sobs came out of Brainy. "Is i-it better if I just leave and n-never come back? I just want respect...I just...I just want...I just want to be loved...I-I want to be...I just..I can't do this anymore...I don't want to be alive anymore...I don't...I dont...i.." 

Hiccuping filled the air as Papa gulped down a lump in his throat, finally approaching his young apprentice. Blossom came up as well, bringing Brainy into a hug and letting him cry onto her shoulder. Papa Smurf joined the hug soon.

No one realized Brainy had felt this way. No one realized how much Brainy struggled with self worth. He needed praise, attention, anything of that nature even if It was just a little bit 

Since then, no one ever told him to smurf up or kicked him out again.
