lila reminds me a lot of ami kawashima from toradora (amazing anime but only if watched through VVVVID at 2am) and that must be why i like her so much . she's a model and she puts on a front of the sweet popular girl but she's actually a huge gossipy bitch with major anger issues . she feels like she's a grown up / more mature than the rest of the cast which may partially be a result of the series' gist being no one can communicate their feelings to eachother and she's the only person able to see what is going on and it frustrates her a lot bc she had a crush on ryuji iirc but she could clearly see what he and taiga had so she gave up on him ???

anyway what i'm getting at is that by the end of the series she was still a bitch but not in the way she was at first . they kept her bold and snarky but she now had a bond with those people and it was refreshing to see her development be less obvious than the others' bc i hate when mean girls r suddenly all nice and their bad habits r wiped out . i don't think much about the anime but when i do it's always ami that sticks out to me . if i was in charge of ml (or revived my rewrite for that matter) i'd likely do something similar with her, bc i believe she's capable of change just like felix in my book but from what we've seen in canon she wouldn't want it forced onto her and it would be on her own terms.
