If we ever get season 4, I would wanna see more development for the Pack, mostly Biowulf and Skalamander. Breach got some good development, but they were pretty neglected. They had a few moments in Alliance and Assault on Abysus, but nothing really substantial. The Pack being some of the last EVOs on Earth would be a good opportunity to explore them further.

Circe: the Providence equivalent is Rex, as they both deal with the wish of fitting in and wanting to find a family of their own.

Van Kleiss: White Knight would be his polar opposite as they both have different viewpoints of the world post Nanite event. They both deal in a sense of being trapped due to one being unable live without Nanites and the other being Nanite free.

Biowulf: Six. Both have a strong sense of loyalty and will follow orders but where one follows unconditionally, the other is willing to look past it and see the greater issue.

Breach: Rex again as they both used as tools by those above them with Van Kleiss pushing her powers at the end of season two and White during season one because felt as though Rex was out of control. They both long for freedom and friendship.

Skalamander: Bobo Haha. They both friend who will stick by, like Six, Bobo is willing to break the rules. They both enjoy firing at their enemies as opposed to their melee wielding counterparts.

It’s been worming in my brain for a while as I found myself dwelling on how similar the two groups are and felt like sharing it. If you found yourself discovering a bit more about who you are, then I am happy. I wanted to make this a semi quiz but I didn’t know if that was right. Thank you for participating. I’m sorry for not adding Dr. Holiday, as I did not know if she was the best fit for Breach comparison and didn’t fit well for Skalamander. Have a nice day/evening.

Generator rex alt ending au, where everyone is still an evo (beside the ones that lost their hummanity or dangerous animal ones), but they try to navigate their new life wihout the war. I do have hcs about the main cast (such as Six becoming accountant wich is such a dumb idea, I decided to make it kanon in the au) however I want to talk about the pack there

Btw big warrning for ones unprepared, me and my sister came up with she/they/xe Biwoulf hc so that's what I'm gonna use for them

Biowulf becomes like evo righrs activist and overall does stuff to help evos start a normal life, Skalamander helps her with that and overall they are buddies and also roomates. They took Breach in since she didn't really had a place to go and their dynamic is basically "my hommie has a really weird niece that keeps throwing rocks at me but I'm used to it" instead of something more parental, but overall somehow they manage to survive like that. Overall I feel like after years in abyssus all of them find it weird to just live alone so um yeah. At first Breach didn't want to go with them, but somehow they made her agree to stay. Breach is getting therapy and meds and overall is slowly getting better. She's still friends with Rex and she made him play outlast. I like to think Rex reintroduced her to the Hong Kong gang, and they made up and now all of them are friends (even tho, the path to trust was messy).

Vk is out of the picture, Breach propably dropped him off to the backrooms (or to Bydgoszcz, honestly I don't see a difference)

The problem with starting to think about the Pack more is the fact that now I want to grab Skalamander the same way I grabbed Bobo like. My house now. I want to use your character potential.

it's easy to reach for found family with the pack but the problem is that none of them are functionally capable of parenting this family. circe was the most emotionally healthy out of any of them and she joined a guy who had villain written on him in neon letters

I saw your concept art about a Generator Rex mermaid au! Tell me all about it, it sounds awesome!

i forgot to answer this ask ages ago and now i remember nothing except like. being a mermaid is contagious. dont ask how idk it just is. its like werewolves or the flu. you either have it permanently (born as a mermaid and cant turn human) you were infected somehow (you can now turn mermaid because magic ig but only for a short while, you dont have every mermaid trait and generally can only breathe water and might get webbed feet and scales and stuff like some horrible seamonster but it goes away), you can turn into a perma seamonster of some sort (thorugh chronic infection, like youve been infected with mermaid gunk so much your body cant fully get rid of it all and you just sort of turn permanently into a mermaid/seamonster) and then theres the variation that happens if one parent is a mermaid and the other is infected (you cant turn into a mermaid if only one parent was a mermaid while the other was a regular noninfected human tho) uhhhhhhhhhhhhh i think part of the plot was?? mermaids are your typical human on top/fish on bottom mermaids, there was a mermaid version that had legs with webbed feet and gills instead and was temporary but still mutated you and could become permanent, and then theres humans. mermaids are generally born in the sea and kinda hard to find and not very well known about despite being one of the most common fish in the sea, so to speak, so not much is known about them. humans live on land and do human stuff but also do research on mermaids cus otherwise there wouldnt be a plot or providence. uhhhh. some mermaids are mean. rex inherited the mermaid gene from his violeta and raphael, one of which was a perma-mermaid and one who was shortterm mermaided (dont ask who was what i dont care and its irrelevant. do what you want go wild), so he can shift between mermaid and human forme. cesar cant and is a full time employee of the mermaid species. theyre both a warmer sea not so far into the depths of the ocean fish so they cant tolerate too much pressure but they can get a good couple km down there. theyre primarily omnivorous. rex is orange and white w blue spots. cesar is primarily red and brown, i say as if i didnt draw him with GREEN scales. come on. sometimes they change colors but generally thats a seasonal thing. six is a human and has a scuba diving certificate. wk is wearing one of those old school scuba diving suits with the round helmet w the glass on it. or hes afraid of the sea idfk. hes the boss guy or something. maybe he has an allergy to seafood holiday is still smart and also does fish science. she also has a scuba certificate

noah is a human but rex keeps infecting him w fish lung disease so they can fuck around and find out in the ocean breach is of course an octopus. nothing else would make sense. her tentacles are purble as of now circe is. probably also half mermaid half human the same way rex is?

van kleiss is a deep sea cold climate shark mermaid, which means he can dive like all the way to the marina trench and probably get halfway to the borrom or so before he dies. idk i dont know science. its 2 am. hes mainly brown and has some yellow golden stripes. he could also be an orca if realistic mermaids based on real animals is a thing people prefer cus frankly orcas are fucking mean. the only thing meaner than orcas are dophins but i dont think he realy ahs dolphin vibes. also orcas are black and white soooo. his diet is carnivorous and eats seaweed and algae sometimes. hes missing an arm from having an anchor fall on him. totally not his fault skalamander is a kind of crocodile or some shit idfk. biowulf is also there?? at absolutely every point during the making of this au i forgot they even existed

basically violeta and rafael were scientists and stuff and they did science w humans and other mermaids and they were doing some stuff and then vk killed them and it resulted in rex losing his memory and vk getting an anchor dropped on himself which cut his entire arm off (not his fault he did nothing wrong) due to the ship exploding after vk did some tech shit and blew it up. later providence started to exist idk. they got big ass aquariums and they use it to study mermaids??

Generator Rex AU

I'm feel soft so I'm want that Van Kleiss get a redemption arc. Excuse my grammar, it was last time when I'm write on my phone.

So here's my Generator Rex AU. after that Van Kleiss come back in his time after a long time travel, he's still tired and scared that something were after him but it was Breach. Providence taking him off and he's still faked his insanity but when Black Knight and The Consortium going to recreate Nanite Project in the end, he's trying to stop this and get into machine to fix the things up that they're never get the power or never going to recreate Nanite Project but failed, his arm is destroyed.  The Pack is appeared, Rex cured all EVOs and The Pack and Van too. His arm become to normal. Rex actually didn't believe Van Kleiss when he said he wanted to fix the things to the better, Rex greets Breach and reunited with his friends, Van Kleiss was arrested and Providence was too busy still. btw need to come up how's The Pack would look as humans and come up names for Biowulf and Skalamander and how about Breach. I'm would like to take the suggestions of the other GR fans x3 So later on, Breach visits Vsn Kleiss and he said he's so tired and gave up on his evil plans and that he's sorry for the damage he's done to her before and Breach replied that she's don't know if this real but she's would try to forgive him and she's hugged him. after a while Breach told Rex if he and Providence would give Van Kleiss a second chance and Rex replied that he's not sure about that but he's promised that he's about to try to talk with White. Some time later, Rex talk with White about Van Kleiss and The Pack. Rex thinks it's would be the right thing to try to give him a second chance. Dr. Holiday warned Rex that he'll better to be careful and that not every person can change but Rex assured her saying that Six changed anyway. White Knight told Rex that it'll be his responsibility if Van Kleiss going to do something. Rex sighs in relief and going with some Providence agents to frees Van Kleiss from the arrest. Rex come to the old man and held out his hand to him, "How about to get a second change?" Rex said with a smile. "How you can trust me after all I'm done? Why you're helping me?" Van Kleiss said. "A person's a person, no matter how screwed up they are." Rex said. Van Kleiss nodded and Rex hepls him to get up and they're shaking hsnds and Van Kleiss thanked Rex. And the teen reminds that as long as he's not going to do anything that would hurt others, others at Providence will trust him as well, hopefully. Some of Providence agents watch over him sometimes. Van get his own room and he's allowed to work in the lab. Peter Meechum welcomed him with a coldness and Caesar is neutral about that and Dr. Rylander is finds positive in the situation as always. Once Van Kleiss meet up with Agent Six in the the hallway and Six warned Van Kleiss if he ever going to betray Rex or hurt someone else, he'll kill him and puts the sword next to Van Kleiss's neck and Van replied that he'll never going to betray Rex since he's believes him and giving him a second chance as well as Breach did. There's comes a calmer days when there's no need to save the world from bad guys, Rex gets bored. Noah going to college and Rex decided to try to attend one too. Dr. Holiday said that this is a good idea and prepare him to study harder. Rex eventually gets bored easily but hes tries his best, Noah and Rex attended the same college and Rex was excited if they're will be roommates at the campus and there's will be parties but he going to miss hanging with Six, Holiday, Bobo and others. Claire and Annie attended the same college. It was fun for Rex sometimes it was hard for him too. Btw, in my AU Van Kleiss wearing lab coat, or his regular long coat and black shirt with long sleeve, dark boots and pants. And rat like ponytail and his bangs down or his hair down. Some time later, Rex comes back to Providence when he has a day off or he need to work there and save the world once again. Van Kleiss still a show-off, he's suggest Rex training more with hand to hand combat wirhout his powers, Van still a great fighter even without his abilities. Rex and Van training but Rex fails several times. Bobo counting how many time Rex loses with a grin and Agent Six watching Rex. Also Former Pack members who becomes humans helping Van Kleiss with his work at the lab.

Van Kleiss working all day and night restlessly which makes Dr. Holiday concerned, he looks really tired, he has nightmares and he can't sleep. Holiday tried to talk to him but he said he's okay but Holiday replies that he's not and Van Kleiss said he don't want to talk about it. Holiday said sometimes it's okay to tell someone about what concerns you. Van Kleiss walked away in silence. it was summertime and Rex and his older brother going to visit Abuela at Mexico village again. Van Kleiss walked past them and heard them but Rex noticed him "What you and your hair doing here, Van Kleiss?" Rex teased. "Nothing bad. So you two going to Mexico?" He asked. "Yeah. You lookin' like you're don't sleep at all. He needs a break. How about to join us, huh?" His older brother wasn't sure about that but Rex replies "Oh, come on. He's overworked, he needs a day off." so they're agrees that Van can join them but he need take a Providence Jet. Salazar brothers land and Van Kleiss's jet landing after them. Rex and Caesar go to Abuela's house first but Van standing outside for a while and the two  knocking on the door. She opens the door. "Who's there?" she asked. "It's me Caesar, I'm with Rex and someone else. His name's Van Kleiss, he's scientist too." "let's have a talk." She said, brothers goes inside but Van could hear them. "I don't trust him. Are you sure about him?" Abuela asked. "When you said you followed my work, I didn't think you knew all the villains I fought with. He's fine now." Rex said. "Rex trusts him, why don't you try too?" Caesar said. "Alright, maybe you want dinner?" she asked. Van Kleiss heard everything and was secretly stressed about what Abuela said but pretending that he didn't heard anything. Rex come for Van Kleiss and so the old man introduced himself to Abuela and gave her flowers and the woman thenked him and said that it's nice to meet with Van Kleiss and that they're just in time for a dinner. They're walked outside there's was a lot of people and music, children playing soccer and the girl playing with her cat. Everyone seat down, there's was a table with dishes in the center. Van Kleiss feel himself better and he's actually liked there. He enjoyed the dinner. He still didn't talk much, when he finished dinner he thanked Abuela and she showing the quests their rooms. Van Kleiss go to bed but he couldn't sleep, he has a nightmare. he sees his EVO self in front of him and he's shocked. His EVO self smiled evily and Van said "You're me but it's can't be!" and his EVO self replied, "You're can't be me, I'm incurable!" Van Kleiss said emotionally "Rex cured all EVOs...You're just a illusion! Go away!" His EVO self attacks him with gauntlet and get through his body injuring Van "Just a illusion, huh?" he smiled evily and Van feels the pain then woke up screaming  breathing deeply. Next morning, Van Kleiss join Salazar brothers at breakfast in Abuela's house, he discussing with Caesar about science after breakfast. Van thanked Abuela for breakfast and walked away. Rex feels that something is wrong with him anyway. Rex walked after him and asked Van Kleiss is he okay and he tell to the teen that he has nightmares and that he's afraid that people still considering him a villain and Rex said that he's understand that, Rex said that once when he and Six fight EVO, the boy begging that they're don't hurt that EVO cause it was the person he cares about. Rex was a bad guy. Van Kleiss nodded and Rex suggest to take a walk around town. Van Kleiss sees children playing, he looked around and sees a fountain in the center of the street. Girl with tan skin and black hair, she has two long braids and red dress, she played with Burmese cat. Girl greets Van and he said that she has an a adorable cat, girl said that her name is Wanda and the cat's nickname is Snowflake. Van Kleiss introduced himself also mentioned that he's a scientist. Girl smiles and decided to show him the town and takes his hand and rushing towards. They're walked among the meadow with trees and flowers, Wanda told him that she wanted to become a veterinarian when she will grew up and Van listened to her with a soft smile. Van seat down under the tree and girl decided to get a nap, she squeezed into his shoulder, he was surprised, he never felt such a feeling before -- attachment, softness and peace. He laid his hand on her back and strokes her hair gently and the cat sleeping nearby peacefully. some time later, Abuela find them to tell that it's time for a dinner, Abuela smiled, she must be wrong about him. Van Kleiss wakes up the girl and both walked back also cat walked behind them back as well. Week later, Salazar brothers with Van going back to Providence. Wanda was upset and said that she will miss Van Kleiss around, he said that he'll miss her too and promised that they're meet up next summer, she hugged him. Rex watching them with a smile. Van Kleiss waved to the girl and said goodbye. Rex tell him to hurry up or they're leave him and get to Providence faster than him. Van go inside the Jet and they're fly away. Oh btw Wanda is 9 years old and has hazel eyes. Rex saving the world from bad guys and sometimes he's studying at college with Noah. Some time later,  Consortium and Black Knight attacked Providence while Rex was away. When Rex finds this out, he was shocked. Rex and Noah  rushed at Providence to rescue his friends. He fought Consortium. Rex turned into full EVO form and defeated them and cured them. Providence arrested Consortium. Some time later, Van Kleiss telling Rex and Caesar that the person who caused the death of their parents is him. Rex was shocked and sad and Caesar was mad but was silent. Van said he will understand if they're don't want to see him again but he's sorry. Rex said that he's remember his parents and that Rex missed them but he has family. He has Six, Holiday, Bobo, Caesar, Noah and Circe and he's glad that he has them. After that, Van Kleiss avoid Salazar brothers for a while. He and The Pack decided to repair Abysus with some of agents of Providence helping them. Ven Kleiss repairing his lab while Rex studying at college with his friends. Rex don't know what he would choose to do but hes sure he will miss the old times when he saving the world ftom bad guys. Caesar and the other scientists revived Dr. Rylander. Caesar and other scientists working on new projects.

Pack Headcanons:

When Circe first joined, she had a slow time getting along with Breach. That is until she showed her the Eeby Debby Elevator meme.

Every time Breach is near an elevator, she messes with it and changes the floors depending on her portals. Biowulf hates this but not as much as Van Kleiss does.

Van: Breach…Where are you taking us?

Breach:

Van: Breach, where is this elevator going?

Breach:

Breach: Eeby Debby.

Van: Ebby what? Biowulf!

Then you cut to Biowulf trying to figure out what the heck Beach is talking about. As neither he nor Skalamander taught her this.

Until they get back and ask Circe.

Biowulf: Breach was messing with the elevator on our mission. Do you know anything about that?

Circe: No?? Why would she mess with the elevator?

Biowulf: I don’t know. Every time we ask her she said “eeby debby”. We would ask her where she was taking us.

Circe: Ee…No, no. I don’t know anything about that. No.

Providence was waiting until they left the elevator but it took forever. They concluded it must’ve been a false alarm.

One of Biowulf’s favorite comforts that he’ll never tell you is that he loves to be scratched behind the ears or the back of his head. He finds it soothing. When he first turned EVO, his senses were constantly under assault by all the heightened sounds and smells. The only thing that soothed him well enough was a scratch behind the ear. Bonus points if this is how he met Kleiss.

Nowadays, he rarely needs it or lets it show. Only time he’s willing to is with those close to him or those who need help.

If he senses Breach is sad or in a lower mood than usual, he will quietly sit next to her and she would scratch behind his ear. She originally found this out when she snuck up on him once and her finger were itching to touch his fur.

Breach, scratching his fur: It’s fluffy and soft.

Biowulf: What have I told you about discussing my fur?

Breach: It’s silky too…Very nice on the fingers.

Biowulf, growling lowly: Brea—

Breach: *Scratches him behind the ears.*

Biowulf: *Rumbles pleased.*

Skalamander, walking: Hey, where have you guys—

I like to think that when Circe knew the back entrance to Abysus was through communicating with plant EVO that Biowulf helped her improve her abilities to communicate at different frequencies due to his heightened hearing. We could say it was Van Kleiss who taught her, but I wonder if it was Biowulf so he wouldn’t have to nearly go deaf on missions.

Because he’s used to doing perimeter and security check’s regardless if Van already knows through Abysus soil, it’s best to be prepared. So while helping Circe with her abilities he introduced her to Tim—at least that’s what I think plant EVO name is—as an exercise.

“If we’re going to work as a team,” the Wolf EVO began, as he walked, “you need to improve your frequency control.”

“Uh, ok, but why are we here?” Circe asked, tilting her head at the second in command. “Isn’t controlling plants Van Kleiss’ thing. Why am I here?”

“Yes, Master can control plants, but as you know Nanites can make vegetation sentient.” He replied, halting beside the plant.

“So this is…?” She asked, glancing at the large plant creature in the drainage hole.

“Bernard.”

The plant rumbled and squirmed, as it pulled back from the hole. He gave a faint trill, as he nuzzles against Biowulf.

“It’s good to you as well, Bernard.” He said, patting his head. “Good work on guarding the back entrance.”

“Back entrance?” Circe asked, as she glanced to the hole that Tim blocked.

“Indeed.” He nods, glancing to her. “Tim here blocks it to make sure no one knows asides from Master, Skalamander and I.”

“Because Van Kleiss can communicate with plants, and you because of heightened hearing?”

“Indeed”

“Skalamander?”

“Security reasons. Should I no longer be around.”

“I see, but I’m here because of frequency control?”

“Okay…What do I do?” She asked.

“Increase your pitch to the highest frequency to get Tim out.” He instructed, as he walked. “I will monitor your progress.”

I think after Circe left, Biowulf told Bernard that his friend isn’t coming back.

“No…No, I don’t think she will come back.” He sighed, patting his head.

Bernard gave low trill.

“She is probably fine. She was fine before we found her.” He reassured.

“You…liked…her…” he trilled slowly. “I…liked…her…”

“She’s a traitor.” He retorted.

His only response was silence. He trilled sadly.

“Keep watch of the hole, Bernard.” He said, walking away.

When it came to Assault on Abysus, Biowulf and the were probably aware that someone used the back entrance guard by Bernard. Which would explain the specialized ambush.

Skalamander: You had to show her the back entrance.

Biowulf: Not now. Stealth positions, go.

Skalamander: Bernard always had a soft spot for her.

I doubt Circe was surprised Biowulf was in charge of Abysus as it made sense.

Look, I just like building their bonding as wiki said he goes from distrusting her to trusting her over the course of two seasons.

She’s unsure of when she went EVO.

At first, the news told her about these monsters, things that came crawling out of hell to collapse the world she knows. Her parents, they seemed concerned. Were they at risk for the rapture? Breach often wondered that. Was her family doomed, forgotten?

They didn’t seem to care for her anymore. Talk of nanites and horrible creatures accelerated. Her parents seemed more scared everyday. She didn’t know what to believe, but her family was hellbent on her staying at home. Safe from the demons. From the world outside.

That changed one day, when she herself went EVO. Her parents suddenly threw her out, their fear outweighed their love. She understood that. She had become a freak of nature, something God would smite and damn to hell.

Maybe her parents always believed her to be a freak, something... wrong. This was just the world correcting it’s mistake when she was born, making her worse than before.

She discovered her unnatural powers fairly quickly, when she was running from the newly formed Providence. at first, she believed her elongated limbs and growth of new ones was all she got from this event, that all she became was a hideous freak and was destined to become like every other creature that Providence hauled away. She wasn’t sure what happened to them, all she knew was that Providence’s methods were kill or contain, and she wasn’t a fan of either options.

All that she knew was that she needed to escape the men in monochrome outfits. She discovered her portals after defending herself from a gunshot, desperate to save herself, despite how horrible she was, and how she didn’t deserve to live.

She didn’t know where the shots ended up, all she knew was that she could escape. She didn’t understand them, but she thought of a place, somewhere safe, it didn’t matter where it was, along as she was far from Providence.

She woke in a forest. Mud clung to her clothes, roots climbed from trees to her arms and stomach, like they were trying to catch her in a net. She struggled to escape the roots, not knowing how to portal herself away.

She stopped struggling when she noticed blooming red flowers, so delicate and beautiful, sprouting from the ground in an instant. She looked up to a slightly disheveled looking older man (?), missing one of his arms.

“Hmm... Not what I was anticipating when Biowulf said there was an intruder...” He leaned down, looking at Breach’s face (Or what he could see of it), looking to her large hands and her newly formed pair.

“How did you get here, young...” He trailed off, noticing her longer hair and skirt, but a somewhat familiar appearance. The roots let go of her, and she brushed mud off her clothing.

“... I want to be a lady, but everyone says I’m not.”

“Well, you can certainly be one here.” He extended a hand to her, and she took it immediately, appreciating the help. The older man (?) (She couldn’t exactly tell herself) waved his existing hand around, and the trees bent to his will, creating a hauntingly beautiful path for her to follow along. She continued to stare at the ground, watching the pretty flowers sprout from nothing, blooming despite the cold and deary atmosphere.

As the trees dwindled away, she caught sight of a crumbling castle, something she’d only see in her dreams or a storybook. Roots and vines seemed to hold it together, keeping all the large pieces from falling into the dirt below, where a large plot of land was being tended to by a creature she’d seen on the news.

The older person noticed her fear of the creature, and simply laughed. It sounded polite, but she couldn’t tell.

“Don’t worry. He’s not dangerous.” He waved to the creature, who used one of it’s three amalgamated arms to wave back. She raised her hand as well, waving back.

They walked in a calm silence for some time, and when they were close to the castle, the older person turned and stopped.

“I never got your name, young lady.”

“... I...” She wasn’t sure what it was anymore.

“I can go first then. My name is Van Kleiss.” Van Kleiss placed a hand on her shoulder and it... calmed her. Why was that? It was so simple, such a normal way to express a polite affection, and yet...

She had never felt that before. Affection that truly cared. Was that the feeling she had? Van Kleiss was the first adult to not immediately wish harm on her the second she was spotted by them.

Van Kleiss continued forward, to the crumbling castle, and she managed to keep up with him. Although, it seemed easy with how winded it seemed as he climbed.

“I should ask again, how did you get into Abysus?”

“Abysus...?” She thinks she heard that name before, some country in Europe.

Right, she heard it because... because Abysus is where it started. Where her pain started. She heard about an explosion, releasing nanites into the world, infecting those everywhere. Even plants were not safe.

She hesitated before responding. “...I created a portal.” That made Van Kleiss hesitate too.

“A... Portal? You teleported here?”

“I... Think so.”

“Fascinating.” Van Kleiss concluded, and she felt a sense of... what was it? Happiness? Van Kleiss didn’t believe her to be a freak of nature, something to be dissected and experimented on. He found her... fascinating.

The two had entered the castle, where two other creatures with abnormal features awaited. Both akin to a large lizard and the other a large robot wolf.

“Is that the intruder, master?” The wolf spoke first, pointing a long claw towards her. On a newfound instinct, she hid behind Van Kleiss. He looked down at her, but she couldn’t tell if it was with pity or parental guidance.

“Biowulf, this is...” He paused, then knelt beside her, studying her face yet again.

“How do you feel about Breach?”

“Breach...?”

“As a name.” He clarified. She paused herself, thinking it over. Breach. It felt... powerful. Something to be proud of. It felt like a title, something important. Van Kleiss gave an expectant look, and she nodded in response, smiling for the first time at him.

“Breach! Wonderful.” Van Kleiss created a tree bark arm in an instant, clapping in response. His tree bark dissipated the second it was made, returning him to his one armed state.

She smiled again. It felt so natural.

Breach. A name with a title to hold up. To be someone Van Kleiss could trust, someone he’d care for.

It didn’t matter to Breach what happened to her, Van Kleiss was the first person to help her. She ignored his changing behavior, she ignored how he became more unforgiving, how he became more mean. It was just him, her guardian. She would let his faults go on, and everything would work out for her.

Because there was no one else she could turn too. Nobody else she could see with her view in life.

Until she had the chance to meet the fairly insistent cure of Providence.
