Welcome back to another deep dive into our upcoming community voted stuff pack, The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff. That’s right, thanks to you and your votes we have a name, and it rocks! I’d like to remind everyone that game development is rarely straightforward. It’s really kind of twisty, and sometimes a little squishy, and it’s still early in the development of our new Stuff Pack. What I’m trying to say is, this pack is actively being worked on and the information below is subject to change. But enough about that. Let’s get started discussing today’s topic, Rocking Chairs! You, the community, voted on what the rocking chair would look like. This was the winning design, in case you’ve forgotten.

Don’t worry, it’ll look more like the concept art once our modeler is done with it. This is what we call a “work in progress asset.” As you can probably surmise, rocking chairs will behave like...rocking chairs. I know, how daring! So maybe we don’t need to go into explicit detail about how a rocking chair functions, but, suffice to say, it is a chair and it rocks. So, let’s talk about some of the new gameplay surrounding rocking chairs, because that’s where our rocking chairs in The Sims 4 get really interesting. Sitting in a rocking chair is quite relaxing for Sims, so naturally uncomfortable, sad, or angry buffs will diminish quicker. Sims will also gain a bonus to their Knitting Skill while on the rocking chair, so make sure you take advantage of that. Try building a “Knitting Room” with a rocking chair and a stereo playing Focus/Metal music to fully immerse your Sim in knitting knirvana.

As I mentioned in an earlier blog post, Elders will have some unique gameplay with rocking chairs. While sitting in a rocking chair, Elder Sims gain increased friendly relationship gains with other Sims. Elders will also be able to Reminisce on rocking chairs, gaining a small amount of fun as they relax and explore their mind palace. If you’re playing as an Elder while they’re Reminiscing, you’ll be able to see glimpses into their mind swirl around them, similar to toddler’s when they play make-believe with toys. What Elders take away from the whole experience is up to their personality traits, but hopefully something pleasant! Here’s an in development clip of the Reminisce animation, as modeled by this adult Sim. Since adults and elders use the same animation rig they share the same default Sim that is used to model In Progress animations in our animation tools.

Not only will Elders gain unique interactions with the rocking chair, but Children and Toddlers too. Both Children and Toddler Sims will have a Play With Rocking Chair interaction, where they can fulfill Fun motives by rocking in an insatiable furor. Check out this adorable, enthusiastic toddler. Where do they get all their energy?

We’d love to explore doing more with rocking chairs down the road. So, let us know if you’d like to see more rocking chairs in the future! Now lets bring it over to the Lead Animator on our Stuff Pack, HaeJu Chung! We’re going to ask her a few questions so she can give us some insight into what it’s like to be an Animator on The Sims 4. Conor: Can you tell us a little about what an animator does on The Sims 4? HaeJu: Animators create the Sim’s unique movements that show them interacting with other Sims or objects. Every movement a Sim makes in game is individually animated by an animator using our animation tool on The Sims 4. We use our own custom tools that were developed here at Maxis specifically for The Sims. Conor: What are some of the challenges you’re facing working on the Rocking Chair, and how do you plan to overcome them? HaeJu: The rocking chair is a challenging object, we have never made anything quite like it before on The Sims 4. Sims on the Rocking Chair are able to perform existing interactions, like socializing with other Sims or reading a book, while the chair is in motion. Since we are using the existing animations for these interactions, I have to create the perfect sitting pose that will allow us to blend these animations seamlessly with the movement of the Rocking Chair. This may sound simple, but it actually is not. We make multiple animations for each interaction to give the visuals some variance – we call these animation loops – and some of the existing interactions, like socializing with other Sims while sitting, have many different loops with various hand movements and different angles for the Sim’s head, among other things. Figuring out the perfect pose so that rocking looks good and works with all of the existing animations we want to use requires a great deal of iteration and testing to get it looking just right. Once we have settled on the perfect pose then we can start making the unique rocking chair animations, including the Knitting while rocking animation. Conor: Is there a specific animation for the Rocking Chair that you’re excited about? HaeJu: Yes! There are Play With Rocking Chair animations for both children and toddlers that will be really fun to animate. We shared a clip above of the In Progress animation featuring the toddler. I’m looking forward to finishing these animations and seeing them in game with the final rocking chair model. It’s going to be so cute! Conor: What is your favorite feature you have ever worked on in The Sims 4? HaeJu: My favorite feature right now is the Murphy Bed in The Sims 4 Tiny Living Stuff Pack. It was difficult to animate. Like the rocking chair, we hadn’t done anything like it before on The Sims 4, so it was challenging. I enjoyed taking on this challenge, and it was really fun to animate, especially the failure animation where the Sim gets squished by the bed. That’s for all now! 11. Have you ever had problems falling asleep in class? No. I always had to sit in the front because it was easier for me in my wheelchair for one, but also I would have been really embarrassed if that would have happened. That doesn’t mean I had to fight to keep my eyes open on many occasions, though.

12. What bug frightens you most? Spiders, but let’s be real I’m scared of all of them, including the ones people think are “cute” like lady bugs and butterflies.

13. What’s your bra size? 36B.

14. Have you ever had sex? No.

16. Christmas is coming. who are you buying gifts for? My parents, younger brother, and my doggo.

The Pink Kawaiian

Okay, so I am a HUGE pink lover and all things Kawaii. The pink and white aesthetic is my favorite look. Absolutely no custom content! CC Free. This house took me a LONG time to build and EVERYTHING is customized to fit the look I was going for. I'm using it for a pastel lolita Sim, but you can use it for any Sim you like! The driveway has a few silly kawaii faces that you can see even in map view! And cute little ribbons on each corner of the driveway. For me, my homes that I play in always are extremely detailed, keep the aesthetic, and are realistic (to a degree, at least). Every room has a purpose, and has things for your Sim to do in them. There are no rooms that are purely decorational. And given that this home is completely decked out in furnishing and details, it is very very very expensive. I've made sure to test everything in the house with a Sim to make sure it all works and it does, so there shouldn't be any problems like that. I'm also a huge pet person so I've set up a place for your Pets in every room (except the basement) so your Pets will never feel left out. You will always see a Pet bed, a scratching post, toys, or cat trees. There are 2 pet bowls in the kitchen for your hungry cats or dogs. On the second floor, there are terrariums for a rodent, lizard, snake, or turtle! The first floor also has a bird cage in the living room so you can always have a lovable lively bird to play with and talk to as well. - First floor has a living room with a large television, huge spacious kitchen with 2 bars, a pretty dining room, a music room, and a back hallway that leads to outside. The porch has places to sit, paint, and even harvest honey from bees! - Second floor has 3 bedrooms and a nursery, 3 bathrooms (1 master bathroom and 2 small bathrooms for 2 bedrooms), a sitting area for Sims to listen to music or just hang out, a reading area, and 2 balconies (one on the left, one on the right.) I think of the extra bedroom as a room for the grandparents or parent's siblings/cousins, and it has a trophy area where the family member can show off their younger family members's hard work and dedication to their school clubs. The teen room has a large fun TV and 2 silly bean bag chairs! One of the balconies is for the teens/kids, and includes a fun skateboard seat, bubble blower, and snowcone machine. The other balcony is for the adults and has 2 lounge chairs and harvestable plants (all Supernatural based). - Third floor is for building skills! 2 easels,a chess table, a big reading area with lots of comfy places to sit, a couple of bookcases, and a large working space for computers or for children and teens to do their homework. The easels are placed in fountains but they both work and all seats work. I've also placed down a chemistry table for your Sims to learn how to make potions. - The garage has 2 cars, 2 brooms, and 2 bikes (for kids), and it also has a ladder leading to the top area above it. - The pool area has a large (obviously) pink pool, places to lounge, a stereo to listen to music or dance to! There's a place to cook out and eat, a place for your cats to play, and a dart board. Right outside the garage, there is a fire pit for your Sims to roast marshmallows at! - Above the garage, your Sim can go to the top and enjoy the nice big fountain. They can sit on the fountain edges and read, or sit on the bench with a leafy shade, play chess or even stargaze! The fountain also has extra water jets to make the water look even more interesting. - The basement level has many uses! First, there are loads of arcade machines for your Sims to have fun. Then they can go to the gym area and have a nice workout, then refresh themselves with a juice from the gym bar. There is a bathroom and a shower room for your Sim, so they don't have to go all the way inside the house to smell good again or to use the toilet. - There are 2 surprises with the basement level. Two doorways hidden behind bookshelves lead to two rooms. There's an alchemy room, for your Sim to research and prepare magic and potions (and become a wizard/witch!) Then there's the vampire room. If you have a vampire Sim, they can sleep down here for a peaceful and restful slumber away from the rest of the world. I hope you enjoy!

1. which season are you gonna play with first?

probably summer? just so i have time to dress all my sims in their autumn/winter clothes lmao

2. from what you’ve seen in the trailer, what are you most excited about?

EVERYTHING. but most especially ice skating/roller skating, bee keeping and turning my sims into demi-gods of thunder lmao

3. what’s your favourite season irl?

normally i’d say winter, but this year’s summer in the UK has been so lovely i might have to change my mind askdaklsd

orchids! and hibiscus 🌺

5. are you going to create a new sim/family or are you gonna keep your current household?

i have a looot of families i’m playing rn so i’ll probably keep em x

6. what would you like to see in this new add-on that you haven’t seen yet?

i’ve seen people say that based on what we’ve seen in the trailer they don’t think there’s gonna be a new world/neighbourhood and i rlyyyy hope that’s not true

7. how do you feel about not getting a new neighborhood with seasons?

LMAO i promise you i hadn’t seen this question before i answered question 6 :’) but yeah if it’s true then i’m upset!!

snow! i love snow. it doesn’t really snow here but i get enough rain and sunshine

it’s raining. yuck. after days of gorgeous sunshine and hot weather now its just humid and wet :/

15. what new traits would you like to see in the new add-on?

i agree with @sandisims: definitely something along the lines of “Hates the heat/summer” or “Hates the cold/winter”. maybe “Hayfever” or something like that for the summer?

16. do you like to play with supernatural creatures like vampires and aliens? and if so, would you like witches/faries/elves?

tbh i like keeping my game semi-realistic tbh i haven’t got the vampire expansion pack and a few aliens have infiltrated my town but i haven’t really played around with them much. fairies and elves sounds super cute tho!

17. what is your favorite thing to do during winter?

stay inside and drink hot chocolate, wrapped up under a blanket 🐻

uhhhh shop for new clothes bc at this time of the year some people are still wearng scarves, some people are wearing denim shorts hahahaha

i don’t really listen to music i always have the stereo on in my households and i hum along to mainly the pop station haha

i thiiink i love playing? like creating stories in my head for my families, getting them to the top of their careers, watching the townies grow up along side my sims etc

i think i really love dine-out! i love taking my sims to the restaurant and i have sooo many different restaurants placed in every neighbourhood :’)

26. and finally, what add-on / pack would you like to see next?

i’m really not sure, seasons is the one thing that i’ve been waiting for and now we’ve finally been blessed with it 😭😭😭 but i adored sims 2 university so maybe that?

Day 3

June 24th, 2017 Saturday

4:30am: I wake up and am utterly confused as to why I’m up so early. But I do not question it, and instead, as the kids say, “go with the flow.”

5:10am: I load batteries into my camera as I plan to do go on an exploration.

5:41am: The best time to go exploring is super early, when it looks like it’s about to rain. London is absolutely, beautifully quiet right now. I go through Hyde park, taking a deeper look of all the things I walked past the day before. I’ll have to walk around like this always. There are pigeons everywhere and they come in all colors.

As I walk around the lake I see swan, casually nesting at the water’s edge. I hesitantly take pictures of them. Swan are just geese is disguise. And we all know that geese are the true embodiment of evil. Well, everyone except Canada (joke.) But these swans are so chill? I am amazed.

I walk up to Kensington Palace and take pictures. The highlight of my trip arrives, only a day into arriving. I catch the perfect picture of Queen Victoria, in her carved glory up on her throne. There, on the top of the statues head, is perched a bird.

I don’t care what anyone says, seeing a bird sitting on the head of Queen Victoria made all of what happened the day before worth it.

7:08am: I get bored of the park and start walking into the city. I get lost for a bit in a Kensington neighborhood, but I use the navigation maps to find my way. It’s nice to have guides throughout the city. I really need to get an oyster card.

I learn how to hire a bike. You can ride it for 30min, but you must bring it to a nearby station or you get charged 2 pounds for however late it is. I ride around to the Serpentine lake and river. I take pictures on the bridge and breath in the early morning air. I admire the birds.

*I saw a cute bird’s nest in the middle of the river and I had to admire it’s construction

7:38am: I go back through the park and find the princess Diana Imperial fountain. I take a few pictures, of course. As I leave the fountain, I see two monks in orange robes walk around with smartphones and earbuds. It could be for language translation, or for Spotify. Either way, the sight amuses me.

8:11am: I am in the kitchen, finally sitting down to eat breakfast. They have cereal, (British) biscuits, and toast. There’s also juice and coffee. It’s quaint and all but in my mind, I’m longing for eggs and bacon.

9:00am: I head out to go to the British museum. I go to the Gloucester street station, get myself and Oyster card. It takes me about 20min and 5 different stops before I figure out where I’m going. One thing I find humorous about London: If you’re not careful and walk-savvy, the cars will run you over, no hesitation. These are some ridiculous drivers!

20 minutes as noted, I exit the station and look about. A homeless man walks up to me and ask me for money. My anxiety kicks in and I worry that this is a pickpocketing attempt. I politely tell him I can’t help. He politely walks away and I feel awful. A minute later, a young lady tries to sell me something. I can’t understand her through her accent, so once again, I politely decline. My pace quickens. Why must I look so approachable? I think I have the opposite of RBF.

Through either luck or naivety, I end up at the British library instead of the British museum. It’s huge, and there are people crowd around in the square out front. They check my bag on the way in. I take a moment to get my Barings straight, admire the tower of books located in the center, and watch the people milling about. I still don’t have a sim card, I’m relying on whatever guest wifi is available to really use my phone. I log into the wifi and figure out how to get from the library to the museum. This time I try to take a bus. I like the double decker buses, they move quickly, and everywhere has something interesting to see.

2 minutes later, after realizing that I’ve taken the wrong bus, I end up in Camden Market, the wrong borough. But I’m not disgruntled, It’s amazing! It’s the best kind of tourist hub. There are souvenir shops and chain restaurants everywhere. Cheaply-made, overpriced souvenirs mind you. But it’s just so cool to watch! People from all around fill the streets, everyone speaks a different language. I take it all in, excited. I note a conveniently located pizza hut and then make my way to the nearest tube station. By this point I trust the trains more than the buses.

(But not the train stations. I can’t remember which, but one of them had a flight of stairs that was 193 steps! I saw people crowded around the lifts but I was impatient. My stubbornness proved valuable. As I plowed up the stairs, I went past older, less shapely tourists who leaned against the walls sweating and panting. I made it up to the surface triumphant. Still, my feet and the rest of me deeply regret that choice.)

Somehow, I then end up at the London Covent Garden Market. I’m confused, but I don’t complain. It’s beautiful! There’s flowers decorating all the building. There a lovely restaurants and good smells everywhere. There are also tourists here. But this market is a bit classier than in Comden town. Old women sit in swinging chairs adorned with white flowers. People carry around heavy bags of shopping. Instead of loud music pouring through stereos and speakers, there are live street musicians. They sing romantic songs. I’m enthralled.

As I walk through more of the shops, I notice street performers doing magic tricks. One man in particular was only wearing union jack underwear and socks. There’s a large crowd around him. He plans to lie down on a bed of nails. I stand around for a minute, take a picture, and go on my way. I smell German frankfurters nearby and I want one so badly! But I’m at loss for time, and the day is only moving further away. I have to go.

10 minutes, a tube ride, and some walking later, I end up at the British museum. It’s even bigger than the library! Once again, I go through a line and bag check. They let me in, unsuspecting. I have a big backpack! I could be dangerous. But no, they take a glance at me and think, “She looks like a world-wary, naive child. She’s fine.” They are not wrong.

I try to take a picture of the museum, when two girls ask me to take a picture of them. I oblige. They were laughing and saying, “We saw your jacket, and it said ‘Georgia,’ so we were like, ‘She speaks English!’ We were so relieved.”

I blush at my own un-intentional Americanism. I have failed to assimilate properly.

After I help the girls, I then enter the ginormous, historic building. It is magnificently classy on the inside. I feel under-dressed. If I wasn’t trying to be practical, I would be more tasteful in my attire. Oh well. I go up the stairs and notice a nice little food court down below. I haven’t eaten since breakfast and I’m starved.

I spend about an hour and a half traveling back in time. I begin in Mesopotamia, and explore into Nubia, Egypt, Greece, and Rome. I take pictures of things that interest me, namely gold embellishments and miniature carvings. I have so much admiration for the craftsmen who created them. And, dead people. I take a lot of pictures of those.

Many tourists move in the way, so I must time photos as best I can. I gasp every time I see an artifact that I recognize, either through art class or by my own personal scours through art books. Seeing what I’ve only seen in books before…It makes this trip come to life for me. Every punishing mistake is made up for by the value of what I am free to discover.

I take a break from ancient Rome and go to the food court. By now I’ve reached that weird point of hungry where I’m not even hungry any more, just wanting. I buy a coke and a chocolate muffin and eat outside on the steps. Since I’ve already been through the bag line I can go into the museum easily. I don’t finish my muffin. It takes like chocolate, and looks lovely, but it’s kind of plain—like England (joke.) I put in my backpack for later. After resting my feet, I notice a sign that says, “Do not sit on the steps.” I glance at the hundred or so people sitting on the steps. I snap a picture of the sign for the humor of it all, then go back inside.

I admire the remains of High Egypt and Rome for another hour. Tourists pour around the Rosetta stone like it’s made of gold. People from various countries all come for this one item of glory and historical significance. I am determined to take a picture to prove what I have witnessed. One tall man stands in front of me for what feels like ages. But, as soon as he moves away, I slip a picture in. which such a treasure in cache, I am close to calling it a day. But I realize that it’s only about 3pm. I still have time to do one more thing (that includes getting lost.)

I look at my map and I suddenly realize that Hyde Park is only about a mile away from Buckingham Palace.

3:45pm: I head to the palace.

4:30pm: I am at the palace.

A lot happened in between those two moments but they were the same, familiar shenanigans that had been taking place all day. At this point my feet were screaming and the hunger that I had thought didn’t exist was now lashing out at me. I took the liberty to go to the Queen Victoria monument and sit on a ledge. Then I snapped pictures to my heart’s desire. It felt good to rest a moment and take everything in. With every new monument, more and more people seemed to pour in, trying to take a piece of the same-life changing experience. They walked around with selfie sticks and bantered with friends or family. I take a selfie, and then instantly regret it. I’m not neat and put together. I’m tired, and weather-worn, and the camera takes up on all of this.

There is no sign of the Queen. I am utterly disappointed by this circumstance. (I shake my fist in anger!)

I sit, studying the statues of the monument. A man, by a lion, holding a hammer. A woman, by a lion, holding a scythe. I studied the Black, Roth-iron gates embellished with gold, and the union jacks in the wind, and the water, streaming from the fountain. I just wanted to be there all day.

But food was at home. So, I had to leave.

4:50pm: I called it a day and start working my way back to the hostel. So much walking is involved. I’m nearly in tears from the soreness. The sky tries to rain, and then decides not to. As I walk across the street to Hyde park, I hire a bike and pedal most of my mile-long journey home. After a wrong turn or two, I find my way.

5:50pm: I’m finally back. I make myself a cup of tea and I sit down to finish my chocolate muffin. People are starting to cook dinner. My mind goes back to the pizza hut. I’m longing for American food, or something like it. Something familiar after a day of getting lost and meeting strangers.

6:00pm: I love Astor Hyde Park but something in here is making my allergies flare up and I don’t appreciate it. The same thing happens on the tube. My nose and eyes have been watering uncontrollably. I grab a hundred paper towels from the kitchen and take an internet break.

7:41pm: There is no pizza hut near me. I could go to a local place but…ugh. I give in to my nervousness. I’ve been in the company of strangers all day, I need something familiar. I would have to take a bus to get to one at a reasonable time. To pizza, or not to pizza?

8:00pm: To pizza.

10:30pm: TWO AND A HALF HOURS. I CANNOT. FIND. A PIZZA HUT. It should’ve only taken 30 minutes at most. The closest on was at the other end of Hyde park. But?? I can’t find it. I did not ask for much. All I wanted was a simple, chain store, pizza. I walked and biked for hours. That is all. I’m too far away from any other pizza place, and I’m too weary to ask for directions. I find a McDonalds and order from there. I wanted the pizza too much, and the universe said no. I still have to walk two miles from the park to get home. Five minutes into leaving, I realize I forgot my straw and condiments. I go back for the straw, but then I don’t bother for the ketchup. I’ll survive.

(Also, there was a festival going on in the park earlier? I don’t know what was going on but there were a lot of English girls with flower crowns and people were playing music and drinking a lot so I assumed it was a holiday. All I know was that I felt awkward walking through and had to take a sharp detour around them.)

10:49pm: I had left when it was daylight, not it’s darkness. I should be glad that I don’t get kidnapped. I probably would’ve been too tired to fight well. But at that point I was saltier than my fries so if anyone had tried to touch me, I probably would’ve sucker-punched them in the face. To add insult to injury, while I’m half way across the park, the bag in my hands rip in half and the contents within fall to the ground. The sandwich is safe in its cardboard container. But…the fries…

England…why….

11:00pm: I’m in my room, on my computer. Someone in the building next to us set off fireworks. I can see the lights through the windows of my ceiling. They fill the sky, and then boom loudly into the air, dissipating.

I decide it’s time to go to bed.

Finally got around to drawing and writing Ezzy’s and Luna’s character bios! I’ve started playing their household a little alongside my others in Sims 4, so I’ll have a lot more photos of them to share in the future. I’m hoping that the more I play, the more they’ll grow on their own as characters like Reim did. They’re just too cute together!

Character Bios Below

Full Name: Ezlyn

Gender & Sexuality: Female, Lesbian

Pronouns: She/Her

Ethnicity/Species: Ego Entity

Birthplace & Birthdate: Ego World (specifically the city Gavron), December 20

Guilty Pleasures: listening to punk/rock/heavy metal music, energy drinks (she insists the caffeine crash is worth it for the rush), playing electric guitar and writing song lyrics despite her inability to sing, sweatpants and hoodies when at home with Luna, playing any sport that gets her blood pumping

Phobias: It might sound silly at her age, but Ezzy is afraid of losing her hearing. She never used to think much about cranking the volume on her headphones all the way up when listening to her favorite music, but after a relative warned her about it she became a little scared. She may be in the fashion biz with Miss Pan and Luna, but music is her true passion. She shudders at the thought of never being able to listen to her favorite songs again, and the thought of never hearing Luna's cheerful voice again really upsets her. So she takes care now not to turn the volume on full blast when she's listening to music, and she makes sure to give her ears plenty of breaks when listening for long amounts of time.

What They Would Be Famous For: She's part of Miss Pan's entourage in the fashion industry. She and Luna are always at her side, ready to offer advice and opinions on whatever crosses the boss's mind. When it comes to Miss Pan's clothing lines and fashion amusement park exclusives, Ezzy handles the more tomboy-ish designs for women's clothing, as that is her style. One day she would like to be famous for her song lyrics and guitar skills, but it's a dream she's kept on the downlow.

What They Would Get Arrested For: Probably skateboarding where she's not supposed to and then arguing with the cops about it. lol It hasn't happened yet, and hopefully it never will. And while it's not technically an arrest, before she moved in with Luna she had the cops called on her more than once for blasting the stereos full volume.

OC You Ship Them With: Luna. Luna is her best friend, the love of her life. She didn't mean to fall in love with her, but she did. For years they were Pan's assistants, best friends, inseparable. They were always together, two peas in a pod. Luna was dating a guy from the amusement park's makeup department at the time, and Ezzy realized after a while that she was kind of jealous of him. She didn't say anything, of course, and just pushed the feelings away, because Luna was her best friend and she was a little confused herself why she felt that way. After Luna and the guy broke up, it took Ezzy some more time to work out her feelings and finally work up the nerve to confess to Luna how she felt.

OC Most Likely To Murder Them: No one, really. She's pretty chill, relaxed... She's easy to get along with, and if someone does have a problem with her, that's their problem, not hers.

Favorite Movie/Book Cliche: She's honestly not too into either. She doesn't really watch movies or read books unless Luna urges her to check out something she's obsessed with at the moment. She'll happily oblige because she knows it'll make Luna happy. But if she had to pick... She likes superhero movies. The action is cool and she assigns theme songs to the characters. As for books, she likes comics because she can listen to music while she reads them and it adds to the story. They also tend to tie in with a lot of movies, so it's easier for her to get involved with the plot, trying to connect the dots.

Least Favorite Movie/Book Cliche: She loathes musicals if the music is too bright and cheesy. She can deal with them if they're in the vein of Sweeney Todd, but upbeat musicals just annoy the crap out of her. She wants music she can bang her head to, damn it! And she's not much for what's called the classics. They had to read both Real World and Ego World classical literature in school and she hated it. She's not dumb, but looking up what certain words and phrases meant sure made her feel like she was. Fuck that Charlie Pickens guy, or whatever his name was!

Talents and/or Powers: She's a pro with the electric guitar, largely due to the fact that she started playing the instrument when she was 5. Her older brother Jax got one for his birthday that year and she pretty much stole it when he got bored with it. She's great with other instruments, too. And Luna thinks Ezzy's ability to assign a song to someone within minutes of meeting them is a talent, but that might just be some sweet flattery. lol Aside from music, Ezzy's pretty athletic and adapts to a new sport very quickly.

Why Someone Might Love Them: She's the chill pal, the one who rarely loses her cool. If Luna is freaking out over something she might get caught up in the moment and freak out with her, but with anyone else she'll keep her cool. She's just a cool person in general. lol

Why Someone Might Hate Them: She doesn't put up with rude people, which is just one of the many reasons why Pan loves Ezzy being her assistant. She keeps people in line and makes sure they know their attitudes aren't welcome in Miss Pan's presence. She's not the violent type, but she will unleash verbal hell on a person and publicly humiliate them if they don't act right. So in short, she has zero customer service skills, so anyone who gets on the receiving end of her backlash probably will hate her. lol And you would think that because of this It might hate her, but they actually get along. They do bicker, but it's like friendly arguing. There's some people he hates because they don't put up with his attitude, and then there's people he respects for the exact same reason. She just happens to be one of those that earned his respect. lol

How They Change: As one of Pandora's assistants, she's a side character, so she really wasn't all that fleshed out when she first appeared in my old comics. She and Luna showed up a few times here and there and I really loved drawing and writing them, but there just wasn't much to their characters. Now that they're in my Sims game, I get to see how they act and evolve on their own, kind of like how Reim did. The main thing that did change was her and Luna's relationship. They were best friends and that's all I intended them to be. But looking back on the comics when I was making their characters in Sims, they just seemed so perfect together. And growing up in the conservative rural environment I did, 8-9 years ago it just didn't really click that they could be a couple. Now that they are, it feels right and I'm super happy for them! <3

Why You Love Them: She's the rocker chick of the gang. lol She's a total tomboy, the type that rarely wears dresses or skirts, and she's not afraid to get dirty in the mud while playing sports. She was always friends with the boys, and she'll speak her mind without a problem. She's the exact opposite of Luna, so they remind me of the whole yin and yang concept. Together they create the perfect balance, which is why they might work so well as Pandora's assistants!

Phobias: Horses. When she was 6, her family visited a relative's farm and Luna accidentally spooked one when she wandered too close and shrieked in delight. The horse stomped its hooves and whinnied and the shriek of delight quickly turned into a shriek of terror. Looking up at the horse in that moment suddenly made it seem very very big and very very scary. She's fine with pictures of horses, but seeing them in real life or on tv or in a movie makes her uneasy.

What They Would Be Famous For: As one of Pandora's assistants alongside Ezzy, she loves to design the girlier clothes in Miss Pan's clothing line or the amusement park exclusives. She already has her dream job designing clothes, so while Ezzy might venture into the music industry at some point, she's content to work with Miss Pan for many years to come. So if anything, her fame as a designer might continue to grow.

What They Would Get Arrested For: Nothing. Luna is very sweet and pure, so she wouldn't really do anything that might get her arrested.

OC You Ship Them With: Ezzy! They're just so perfect together, the sweet cheerful girly girl and the cool chill rocker chick! At this point I can't imagine either of them being with anyone else. When Luna and her ex broke up (they ended their relationship on good terms; they're still friends and coworkers) and after some time had passed, she was surprised when Ezzy confessed her feelings for her. She was nervous to think of Ezzy as anything more than her best friend, because she didn't want to ruin their friendship if things didn't work out, but after their first date she realized she might have already been in love with Ezzy too. Needless to say, it wasn't long until they moved in together and now they're happily married!

OC Most Likely To Murder Them: I doubt even It would want to murder Luna. Her cheerful personality might annoy him, but she's always nice to him and thinks his weird t-shirt designs are 'so badass!' And unlike Aurora, she doesn't scold him when he swears.

Favorite Movie/Book Cliche: Like Pandora, she loves the sappy romantic movies/books. There's a spot on the coffee table in front of the tv in their living room that is always occupied by a box of tissues. lol

Least Favorite Movie/Book Cliche: She doesn't really like the 'based on a true story' movies/books. Her dad loves them, and growing up watching those types of movies sometimes got her mixed up on whether the story took place in the Real World or the Ego World. Which led to her getting events and people confused when learning about both worlds at school. The Ego World basically 'copies' material things from the Real World (like books, movies, video games, merch, etc), but of course has its own original products, so it's not uncommon for kids to get confused with which world has what. (History, religion, ethnicity, and world culture can also be very confusing, as the countries in the Real World don't exist in the Ego World, but they share cultures and other aspects because of Egos learning them from their Hosts. It's... complicated. lol) And because Luna's dad loves learning about the Real World, it was especially difficult for her to keep facts in order.

Talents and/or Powers: Her dad and younger brother Seren call her 'Miss Moonshine', a play on 'Miss Sunshine' using the meaning of her name. (As a side note, this was before her dad learned the Real World meaning of moonshine, but by then the nickname had caught on and they found it hilarious.) They like to say her power is that she's always got a smile on her face and can always cheer them up when they need it. She also loves interior design and Ezzy gave her full control on decorating their apartment because of this.

Why Someone Might Love Them: She's the one who genuinely cares how your day was, if there's anything she can do to help, to make you feel better. She's just a happy person in general, and she likes to make others happy. Sometimes it wears her out, being the one to make everyone feel better, but Ezzy's taught her that it's okay to take a step back and stop being 'the mood fixer' all the time. She's just a nice, caring girl that loves to laugh and smile and her mood is contagious!

Why Someone Might Hate Them: If anyone hates Luna, they deserve to never be happy again. Luna is a precious ray of light in the world, and as Ezzy would say, 'any haters can fuck off'.

How They Change: Again, she showed up with Ezzy a few times, but never really enough for me to think about her in detail. That's why I really loved doing their bios like this! It really helped flesh her character out a bit. The main thing that changed was the fact that she and Ezzy are a couple now, and it feels so right! They complete each other. <3

Why You Love Them: She's a good, kind person and the world needs more kind people. She and Ezzy have a loving relationship and she's got a strong heart full of love for her dad and brother. And I LOVE the antics she gets up to at work with Ezzy and Pan. They're a playful trio that make work fun! And I wish I had a sister like Luna. She's such a sweetheart!
