CCMerged file - What does it do and where to get it?

CCMerged is a file containing all necessary XML data for all Store Content Sims 3 offers. It's consisted of all data necessary to make Premium Store Content work. The file itself holds data for any store content that will introduce new: buffs (moodlets), skills, recipes, plants, ingredients.

The file can be found in the following location(s):

C:\Users\[User]\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\DCBackup

C:\Users\[User]\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Overrides*

C:\Users\[User]\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages*

*If you have the Mods folder installed and presumably using Store Fixes for your content, it is advised to put a copy of CCMerged in both "Overrides" and "Packages" folders within Mods folder.

In cases where newly installed Store content items will provide no interactions (ie. clicking on a Premium object doesn't have any interactions popping out), it is advised to re-download the CCMerged file and place it into the aforementioned folders and [clearing cache] after that. While getting this file isn't always the solution to fixing lack of interactions, it is fine to replace this file in case of corruption or missing XML data.

New World for TS3: Welcome to Älskar

Hi simmers!

First, I want to say that this is quite an important journey for me, because after years I have dared to use the CAW tool, and im happy with the results. Please, keep in mind that it is still under development.

Aurora Skies is one of my favorite TS3 store worlds and has a lot of potential, so I decided to make a world based on a fictional island, named Älskar (which means "to love" in Swedish). The idea came to me when I returned back from the arctic, specifically Tromsø, where I went to see the Northern Lights and was lucky enough to appreciate them in the starry sky of the Arctic Circle.

Small world

+ Than 40 lots (residential and community)

Requires all EPs and SPs (SPs is something I'm not sure about because I used what I liked, but it is recommended to have everything)

Requires certain sets, venues, store items from the Store (I'll list which ones below)

It is very smooth, too much, which I like. I have also added events generators to make the experience more dynamic.

Aurora Skies is required for rooftops (but this can be skipped)

PS: As a simmer, I hate having to go through the launcher in order to install Worlds, so... the file is in .world, so in order to install it without using the launcher you have to follow this path:

– C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 3\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds. -- Origin version

or

– C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds -- Disc Version

What I should be doing: Studying for the exam I have tomorrow

What I actually did: Clearing out space in my hard drive to download Baldur's Gate 3, in an act of pure hubris

#i found out during this process that autodesk inventor took up over 20gb of my pc memory. which is absolutely ridiculous #also i had my pirated sims 3 store content on my pc in 3 different places. amounting to 21gb of memory #the base game of sims 3 is only 7gb btw #anyway. now i have time for studying since the download is projected at 15 hours at best xdd #pork talks

The Doctor of the Luna Witch Coven, Aspen Ecko, is a young medical student who wants to use science and medicine to help people and society evolve and stir away from the beliefs that witches can only do harm. However much he doesn't like to admit, he might have to reply on his own magic to help him out a little, but he is confident he can do it.

He is very smart, genius in fact, loves reading and stays up late studying medicine and practising spells and charms. He also has particular love for horses as he thinks they are majestic creatures.

I made Aspen for my own gameplay, but people requested me to upload him so I'm doing it!

Note: Sims I make for my own personal gameplay are super CC and Store content heavy (some more some less) so BEWARE when downloading them! Make sure you check out the list of CC and Store content down below and download all of it, unless you want some stuff to be replaced by base game items. Even then I can NOT guarantee you my sims will look same in your game as they do in mine, which again depends on CC and custom sliders you might not have in your game.

TS3 Build - Limelight club NYC

Built by Waterheart197 for Midnight Hollow. Uses LN, AB, WA, 70s80s90s, FastLane(2-4 items), LoudFastClash, FrontRowCenter, GothiqueLibrary, Tudor window, OhMyGoth, RoarHeights sectional, BohGar string light, Morocco light, JazzAge stool, 50s stool, and free award-themed store content. This is a recreation of the infamous Limelight nightclub which was open from '83-'98, based solely on available photos. Formerly the Episocopal Church of the Holy Communion, this historical building had fifteen thousand people showing up nightly to party with no regard to sanctity.

I have a LOT of photos to show this massive build off, so I'm just sharing a google drive link to a folder with the photos instead. I have too many details I want to share lol. For convenience, I've also put the Sims3Pack and package files in there. 🎶 About CarverSims Files: Files show up as brown boxes in Sims 3 launcher Downloads tab, but do install okay (as seen in the Installed Content tab of the launcher) and show up in-game with little Sims 3 Store boxes in the lower right corner of the object thumbnail.

++ Using any of this store content will not get your EA or Steam Account banned. When it's converted to .package it's considered a piece of custom content. EA does not track custom content or unlocked .Sim3Pack files from CarverSims.

Neither Blam's or Phantom's store content were decrapped. They were processed with the normal mode using CompressorizerRedux, aka s3rc.

With saying that, I've run into issues their files. However, I was able to find a fix using the ContentPatch.package along with NonaMena's Ccmerged.package file added to my Overrides folder. (C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Overrides)

DCBackup, ccmerged.package and Your Premium Content Items: (https://nonasims.wordpress.com/2012/05/17/dcbackup-ccmerged-package-and-your-premium-content-items/) -- Download link for ccmerged is closer to bottom of blog post. It's a mediafire link.

Decrapify renumbers the internal IDs and resources of Sims3Packs, essentially making the game treat it as a brand new or cloned item. This is why they need store fixes. However, it's my understanding decrapifying store content is not needed anymore. You can take the .Sims3Pack files, paste them onto s3rc.exe to compress them to smaller sizes. As a bonus, it unlocks them as well to make them into .package files.

Here's an article from ModtheSims that explains the process of converting Store files to .package files.
