105 Sim Lane Remodel

I didn't really do too much to this lot, but I did make it livable for a whole family. I dont know why the original doesnt have any space for a double bed?? I believe that this is the canon house for the Burbs, as seen in some holiday promotional posters, so I tried to recreate some of it and also the decor is Burb style.

Comes with a garden full of tomatoes thanks to John's hard work.

Goth Manor Remodel

The Goth family are the richest family in Pleasantview but their house never seemed grand enough to me! So I’ve made it a lot bigger and grander. It now has many more bedrooms, a back staircase and disused servants quarters in the attic.

makeover of Sim State Library because it's so horribly barren by default. I tried to keep the same general floor plan and vibe.

It now contains a dedicated reading room, study hall (with semi-private cubicles and more computers), art room, and a little lecture room (courtesy of beestew's active classes). Plus a few nooks and crannies for hanging out in.

I debated adding a cafe and may go back in and squeeze it in, but for now it's definitely a lot more usable than it was before.

I have another Desiderata Valley lot makeover to post, this one is 1097 West Leisure Lane, a lot I like to think of as The House of Unfortunate Angles.

The lot starts at $18909.

Entry/kitchen. Contains the sole phone in the entire house, definitely a mistake on my part. :/

Dining/first floor hall. Needs art, but that's on purpose. I try to strike a balance between bare minimum furnishings and decades-lived-in.

The main living area. Kind of an awkward space but I was sold on it.

The sunroom. The door between the plant and the chair opens to a balcony with an easel set up on it.

The larger bedroom, and the last stop on the tour. All told, this lot is now priced at $25545 which, while no longer a starter lot, is very reasonable.

(I've edited the prices of just about every single wall, floor, and object in my game, though, Maxis and custom alike.)

Information ℹ️

This is a full hood makeover of Three Lakes, the mountain vacation hood that came with Bon Voyage. All lots have been made over and I've also added 5 made over lots from the lot bin. The hood comes in 2 versions; with the 12 local townies or without them. All townies have cellphones and adults have 6 want slots as I think sims should have them even if they didn't attend college. The hood was made on the dirt terrain.

195 Main Street Pleasantview Remodel

The Dreamer house is offensive to me and that's all I'll say about that. I made it less boxy, less boringly white, and the roof is no longer taller than the entire house.

I took a lot of inspiration from the Sims 3 version of Darren so I made the whole house more artsy looking. Darren also gets his own studio with lots of large windows, and Dirk gets multiple consoles to play on. Does not include Darleen's grave, but it does include a very cute painting of Dirk.

The 101st Marriage Proposal

(the name is based on real life love hotel which apparently ether don't exit no more or has changed it's name. I thought it was the best name ever. The love hotel's name is based on a movie?)

SPECIAL INFO FOR HOTELS: If you want your sims to be able to sleep on the lot use this mod by numenor. I also shared some good to know things about hotel lots in normal hoods in this post -long story short- don't visit hotels with only teens (pretty sure kids are the same), you can't leave and will be stuck. So teens/kids will have to bring adults (makes sense for this build tbo). ALSO! Build this in mind of the NPC EVRYWHERE PATCH -mod. So without it the food place is just empty. This mod will give you free food and place to work.

Good Morning! I bring to you a repurposed barn. It is a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom starter with a greenhouse and flower patch. The lot size is 30X30 and the cost is 71,588. There is a 1/2 shed that allows for an at home business. This lot is perfect for those that want to start a life of farming or those who just enjoy growing their own food and making a profit with the extras. This lot was made over using TS2 UC.

As I’ve been getting my game put back together on Win10, I’ve been doing some Maxis lot makeovers and this is one I’m satisfied with.

Sims 2 players are probably familiar with 244 Hillside Pass Road, one of many unforgivably ugly lots in Desiderata Valley.  Beginning price tag is $17882 according to the wiki ‘cause I forgot to make a note of it before ripping it apart.

Here she is now.  I’m fully aware that 600x450 is not the ideal picture size for Tumblr but it’s the best I could coax out of the game.  Exterior features include a rooftop solar panel, beehive, chicken coop, avocado tree, and central air condenser.  Trash is around the corner I didn’t take a picture of, mail has been moved to in front of the porch.  New fully furnished price tag is $15227.

Entry and living.  I’ve turned the faux bay window into a reading corner and I am inordinately proud of that indoor planter feature.  The hallway corner is basically empty except for a floor vent and a ceiling minilight, I didn’t want to overdo the decorating.

The front bedroom.  At this point I should say that every room has light switches that somehow avoided being in most of the pictures in addition to the outlets and floor vents that were less stealthy.

The back bedroom.  I guess this would be the master bedroom but there’s only two bedrooms and no en suite bathroom, so ehh.

I didn’t put any tech or specific hobby objects in, dunno why.
