Rumiko takahashi posted about Fire Tripper today, and Antis had the literal gall to say she doesn't care about that project, she's against it now, she forgot about it because she regrets it. Well, shows what they know.

They're the same image. And plus, male character names both have Maru in them, Shukumaru and Sesshomaru, let that sink in for a bit. I love it that she posted about it again.♡

Yes, all the characters seen here are all the same people. The little boy in the red striped shirt becomes the warrior, the little girl in the pink robe becomes the modern school girl.

Suzu was adopted into Shu’s family in the Feudal Era, and in the Modern Era, baby sat him for her neighbor and took care of him (as her “little brother”, since technically it’s her big adoptive brother but younger, ironically), and Shu adopted Suzu as his little sister. They fall in love when they meet each-other as adults, finding out each-others identities and realize it’s okay for them to get married because they aren’t blood related. They both live in the Feudal Era together. It is very similar to her other work, Inu-Yasha. Talk about a confusing time paradox. I still love this one anyway. The “applecitus” part is funny.

Suzuko goes by “Suzu”, which means “Bell”, Suzuko means “Bell Child” Shukumaru was born in the Modern era as “Shuhei” and went by “Shu”

In Inu-Yasha Wide Edition Volume 3 - Rumiko Takahashi says she used her older work FireTripper when creating Inu-Yasha.

In Yashahime Towa was sent back during a fire.

A possible call-back to FireTripper.

Tuesday 15th October: Eternal Filena (1992-1993)- Filena broods over Fikos' death and Milika's vow to get revenge.

Wednesday 16th October: Wolf guy (1992-1993)- Fanglan nurses Inugami's wounds, received from an ambush from the Phoenix group's boosted soldiers.

Thursday 17th October: Dragon fist (1991)- Fei-Long makes Fuyuka realise that she is her own person and her life is worth living.

Friday 18th October: Fire tripper (1985)- Suzuko and Shukumaru promise to be together when they go back in time to Sengoku era.

Saturday 19th October: Otaku no video (1991)- Kubo and Tanaka create their new company 'Giant X' and their mascot, Misty May.

Sunday 20th October: Domain of murder (1992)- Goro meets a mama-san during his investigation.

Lol, as am I, it's really ridiculous they still think she's a child in Yashahime with a body like this.

She never looked this way as a kid so I really don't understand them. Her body and her face has went through some changes but what were they expecting wrinkles? If Rin has a scene where she's bathing underneath a waterfall with her body showing and all, and they still think she's a kid, there is definitely something wrong with their eyesight. ＞ˍ＜

Lol, exactly, and Renma-Chan looked young but I never called her a child ever. And if Sesshomaru got with her at 16 or 17 it's really not bad, he's only 19 in human years and 400 in his demon years, he slowly ages differently from humans and that's something they need to understand about him.

Ohh my gosh, I love Fire Tripper so much, it gives me so many vibes to Inuyasha, especially with Inukag and mostly Sessrin. Did they even read Fire Tripper? Because there's a lot of parallelism between both couples. Plus, Child Suzuko in a cute conversation with with her young adult self mentions she is also going to be Shukumaru's wife, too. That was a little girl saying she was going to marry a grown young man who is her (brother and turns out they are not blood related just like Sesshomaru and Rin aren't blood related.) , Rumiko takahashi made that.

It's such a cute scene Rumiko made this is more confirmation she wouldn't mind Sessrin at all and possibly planned a future for them offscreen which was before Yashahime was even brought up, I'm so glad it was and she approved it with open arms. Me too, I love all her works so much, she's a great artist, story teller and all, her works are so inspirational. I'm so sorry I took long to reply, I was gathering these images and decorating some of them and trying to think of what to say, I'm quite shy.
