Real talk tho, why does Sharky self neglect himself so much? Tw: Self hate, depression, suicide talk, ect

I wrote something recently that i feel sums up Sharky's feelings pretty well, i'll share it cuz i really like it despite it being sad obviously. TW: Sucide mention, depression, self hate, ect. --- Sharky crys more, grasping at the beanie on his head. "……Yknow, it's funny………You know Max has depression and…His is really bad, he always talks about wanting to kill himself and stuff………and yet i know i probably hate my own guts more then he could ever hate himself………Nobody really ever sees how much i hate myself because i don't talk about it……..I'm not depressed, i just hate myself to the core……….And yet i don't want to kill myself either……..But i probably should…Nothings going to ever get better…And if i died then the world wouldn't mourn me………..But i love life and i love being here and i just………i wish so bad that people could see me as a damn person but i know even if i live past 100, i will never get that wish…I'm always going to be a beast til the day i die…Just a stupid worthless shark…That's all i'm gonna be……….My feelings are really complicated…" Sharky's tears stream down his face and he keeps sniffling, he's just completely broken…

Before i go to bed, just gonna rant a bit about Sanford from my madness combat au(or just talk about him in general), mainly because everyone that knows about the au, just absolutely adores him for unknown to me reason???

Also, I'll probably makes this a series so, this is part 1 out of 20-something parts, of me talking about characters in my madness combat au

Character trope: misunderstood by everyone

Metaphors/comparisons: duality of how people view sharks; torture as "art"

Sanford, like some other characters in the au is an animal hybrid. In his case, he's a shark hybrid. He has very few features(mostly like everyone) those being: webbing between his fingers, fins, gils and huge shark tail(over 2 meters long, just in length). Due to experiments that led him to becoming this hybrid he lost his legs(he does has prosthetics) and gained huge sound sensitivity(has to wear special headphones that partly muffle the sound 24/7)

Sanford is a rather interesting person to say the least. Bloody artist, "organ stealer", experiment victim. Sanfords main motivation for what he does is revenge. He kills absolutely anyone who has something to do with Auditor and Phobos, before they united their organisations or after, no matter if person left their organisation years ago and changed, he doesn't care. He believes that by wiping all of those who worked for them, is the only way to get justice for all those innocent people who died because of the two. Surprisingly or not, this often leads to him having arguments with his friends that don't agree that he needs to kill absolutely every single person who ever worker for Auditor and Phobos, especially if they changed(what in Sanford's opinion those people can't do)

He has good intentions with what he does. For example, let's look at this whole "organ stealer" situation. That's one of the nicknames people gave him. He collects organs of most of his victims, and oh lord, is his collection HUGE. However, despite the fact that some of those organs are simple "trophies" he uses most of those organs, to help people who need organ transplants. Heart, liver, lungs, you name the organ, he has it!

But despite all this, like with sharks, people only see "bad" and cruel side of him. There's no denying that he's cruel in ways, like a shark, but only to those he considers enemy or dangerous, but heck, in lots of cases, he gives victims of his torture quick ways out of their choice, because he does have sympathy for them, even if he supposed to hate them to the core

He can be gentle, he can be sweet, he can be caring, but everyone only sees this "scary aggressive shark". No one sees the man that almost died during inhumane experiments on him, from which his friends suffered too, thousands if not more, people died because of them as well. They don't see the man who wants to avenge all those poor souls, who were tortured and died in pain. They don't see a man who wants to do what's best, even if his ways of doing so may seem wrong. They don't want to understand. They don't want to see any other of his sides outside of the aggressive, cruel, two-sided shark

And he's alone because of this even with his friends. They don't understand him either. Perhaps they simply don't see the need for that. Perhaps they tried, but failed to understand

Another thing that's rather interesting about Sanford, that he's an artist. His paintings are always grey, with red accents. That's how he sees Nevada. Hollow place, only filled with blood. And his art sometimes is bloody too

He sometimes carves paintings on some of his victims(usually those being clones that Auditor makes) to "...make them beautiful, give them purpose before dying, because those agents were never made to be beautiful. They were made to be nothing. Or to be monsters...". He believes that some people are either made to be empty canvases in this hollow Nevada, or to be ugly. So he fixes them! He makes them beautiful before dying. Plain canvases finally "drawn" on, fulfilling their purpose, while the ugly, the monsters, are finally made beautiful before passing. He believes that he makes Nevada more beautiful with this. Although, he knows he just adds more red to the "painting" that is Nevada, but at least, he adds something unique. Unique bloody strokes on the grey canvas

Also, as some finishing notes: people aren't wrong about thinking that Sanford is two sided, because he is! He knows his way with words, and doesn't look all that threatening, and he takes advantage of that. He often uses most of his victims for his and his friends interests, to get some information that they need, for example, and then kills them, when they become useless. But despite everything, Sanford is really nice to civilians, and often helps them with everything they may need
