For the Dessi ask meme, I'm not gonna throw any numbers at you and instead challenge you to answer the prommpt you REALLY want to answer but nobody's given you the number yet. Here I am, giving you the number! Go!
🎁 - What kind of gift-giver are they? Do they give thoughtful gifts? Expensive gifts? Practical gifts?
If Dessi sees something small that makes her think of the person then she will most likely grab it. A small pin, a braided bracelet, shells from a beach/ shore, and depending on the person, an unique rock/stone she found.
She is also pretty thoughtful in taking into consideration the receiver's hobbies, likes, and whatnot. If Dessi knows your favorite book she would then see if there is a series or other books from the same author. Certain styles of pens, carving tools, or other crafting material? Dessi would have already kept the information stored away for when she comes across the same stuff while on her Path. Dessi can’t carry too much with her with needing to be able to move and move fast if the situation calls for it but she will try her hardest to bring back at least something. She just really enjoys seeing the other person’s eyes light up when they get their gift.
Sometimes she is a bit sneaky with giving the gifts, depending what they are. Such as tools and other practical items, they will find their way into the receivers belongings without them knowing. If asked, Dessi feigns innocents of how the gifts got there.

Shooting Star // Firestorms of Venus
"Her beauty was ethereal like a starlit sky, her eyes bright like the distant specks of light which first taught mankind poetry millions of years ago. Even her very blood sang with iron born from stardust. She was less of a woman and more of a star."
"Starscream has always been fond of stars, and not only because of their connection to his name. Stars were beautiful, enchanting, the sight of their beauty a comfort even to a spark worn down by millennia of war. They kept him company on lonely nights, and guided him home when he felt like he lost his way. Humans said that a fallen star was capable of granting one's wish, but whenever he cradled his precious star in his servos, he found that he wished for nothing, for once in his life content with his place in the universe."
"Megatron thought that stars were truly contrary things. They were beautiful, yes, but also distant. No matter how desperately he tried to reach for one, his precious little star, she always remained cold, always beyond his reach. All he could do was admire her beauty from afar, only seeing a reflection of it on the water's surface. Maybe it was for the better, though; she shone so brightly... Sometimes he feared that he would die if he got too close, drawn to her like moth to a flame, seeking her warmth only to burn away, blinded by her radiance and reduced to ashes. Sometimes he longed for it."
Her freckles I know that this is like my upteenth time throwing fanart at you but I just got new fineliners and really what can you do if your muse lovingly whacks you in the head with inspiration like it's a foldable chair.
HEY POSI? YOU ENCHANTING ELDRITCH BADASS BEING OF THE ENDLESS VOID OF SPACE AND STARDUST? POSI? POSITIVE? YEAH. HEY. I’VE BEEN STARING AT THIS WITH MY JAW DROPPED OPEN AND MY EYES AS WIDE AS FLYING SAUCERS FOR LIKE TWO DAYS NOW

Of starlight and storybooks
[Author's note: I'm too burnt out to draw but wanted to make something for you anyways. You've made the error of saying that Starscream enjoys fairy tales and I ofc used that knowledge for evil. So uh, one thing led to another and I wrote this. I hope that you don't mind. I know that you're going through some rough things and I sincerely hope that they get better soon. If not, I'll go after them with a sword. Anyways, have a little stargazing/reading session between you and Starscream. I hope that you enjoy. 💙✨💙✨💙✨💙]
The meadow looked beautiful.
The cold hasn't touched it yet despite the chilly February weather, but it nonetheless looked like it was asleep under a soft blanket of freshly fallen snow as thousands of tiny starflowers swayed gently in the evening breeze. The sun was yet to set, basking their pale petals in its golden, fiery warmth.
You paused to admire the sight for a moment, entranced, before you shook your head and headed for the special spot where you and your Starlight liked to stargaze together. You had with you a basket of snacks, your sketchbook, and a certain book you wanted to show Starscream. When you last met, he expressed some interest in fairy tales which you've told him about. Not the happy ones, of course - he was much too serious and cynical for those, thank you very much (or so he said) - but he seemed to enjoy the likes of the original Little Mermaid and the likes.
Well, you happened to have an acquaintance with something of an obsession with stories, and she had been more than happy to lend you one book of hers. You weren't sure where she got it from (you couldn't find any mention of it anywhere in the vast abyss of the Internet) but a quick skim of the table of contents immediately sparked your interest. You had curbed your curiosity, though, since you planned to read through the stories with Starscream.
Speaking of whom, a whooshing sound made you look up, joy blossoming in your heart as a sleek jet flew above you, circling to decelerate and eventually landing on a hill nearby with a roar of engines. Then, with all the grace and beauty of a blossoming flower, it transformed into a certain bastard former Decepticon who stole your heart and didn't seem overly keen on giving it back.
"You're early," he said in lieu of greeting, the usual sharpness of his crimson optics softening ever so slightly at the sight of you. "How long have you been waiting?"
You shook your head; you were sitting cross-legged on the blanket you've spreaded shortly before his arrival. It was the colour of the night sky and dotted with glittery silver stars.
"Not very long. Just got here," you responded, gazing up at him with adoration. Stars, he was beautiful; tall and slender, all sharp angles and shiny metal. Your gaze swept over his graceful servos adorned with tapered claws, his majestic wings, to eventually land on his handsome face and get momentarily lost in the red light of his optics. "Where did you get a T-Cog from?"
He cleared his voicebox, his wings twitching ever so slightly. He was unable to transform last time you saw him, something which he had whined a great deal about.
"Long story," was all he said, struggling to suppress a wince at an unpleasant memory. "Not overly pleasant, either, so I will spare you the details."
You held your palms up in mock surrender. "I won't pry, don't worry. It's good to see you flying again, Starlight."
"Yes, ah…" Starscream's optics were suddenly very intent on avoiding yours, and you could swear that… No, that couldn't be a blush colouring his faceplate, could it? "Thank you. It feels… it feels good to be flying again, too." He sat down, then lied down like he always did in preparation for your stargazing sessions. "I missed it."
"I missed you," he did not say, his optics wandering to your face. There was something about you, something that he did not understand, that he even feared sometimes but couldn't force himself to push you away, which entranced him more than the sky above your heads, already bathed in pinks and violets and on its way to shifting into the starlit canopy which you both loved so much. You had asked him to arrive before dusk, which puzzled him somewhat but he wasn't about to start complaining about an opportunity to spend more time basking in your presence.
"You're beautiful," was something he chose not to vocalise, either, because he tended to avoid stating the obvious. Besides, you always looked beautiful, though the pale pink dress you wore rendered your figure even more worthy of being carved in marble like an ancient human goddess. Instead, he opted for a simple "what now?"
You blinked, the words pulling you out of the crimson nebulae of his optics like a moth being drawn away from a flame. "Huh? What do you mean?"
He gestured vaguely at the sky. "I'm not sure if you've noticed but the stars aren't out yet. You insisted on meeting earlier than usual and I merely wish to know why."
Oh. A faint blush warmed your cheeks, a rather charming sight which Starscream could seldom prevent himself from marveling at. The way it spread over your freckle-dusted skin like a rosy twilight spread over a cloudless sky made something strange stir within his spark.
You reached into the basket to produce the book loaned to you by a certain shady pal of yours in exchange for two packets of instant noodles.
"I thought that we could read together," you offered, holding it up for Starscream to see. The cover was of purple leather and with cogs and stars embossed into it. "I mean, the letters are probably too small for you to see but I could read to you until it gets dark enough for us to stargaze."
Oh. Starscream blinked, bafflement colouring his handsome features. You had remembered the interest he had expressed (deliberately vaguely) the last time about human stories and fairy tales. You had shared a couple with him before, but most were too saccharine to really capture his attention. Those that did, though, ensnared it just as effectively as you had ensnared his spark, and while he tended not to judge a book by its cover, the one you were holding seemed to belong in the latter category.
"Oh, very well," he made a show of sighing and rolling his optics as if it was an inconvenience. "Let's get this over and done with. Come here, then, before you freeze to death."
You giggled at his usual dramatics; you knew him well enough by now to recognise the spark of interest in his optics, and thought little of his token protests and whining.
The evening air was warm enough for you to forego your jacket despite the normally chilly season, but you still gladly climbed on top of his servo and allowed him to lift you onto his chest. Starscream didn't say a word as you did so, silently cherishing your proximity and the light yet comforting weight of your small body on top of him.
"So," you rolled over to your stomach, propping your chin on your palms as you regarded the mech beneath you with eyes which had absolutely no right to sparkle so beautifully as they did - focus, Starscream, you're making a fool of yourself. "Do you want me to read you the table of contents or just start from the first one?"
Starscream shrugged as best as his position allowed him. It made little difference to him, but he had to admit that it was nice to have someone, you know, ask him about his thoughts and preferences. It didn't happen often. Still, he didn't want to appear too indifferent, lest you got discouraged (or worse - upset. He'd snuff out any lifeform foolish enough to upset you.)
"Read the table of contents," he said eventually, then, because his recovery from the T-Cog reattachment he had conducted on himself had made him miss out on a couple of your meetings and he missed you more than the taste of energon on his glossa and the wind beneath his wings, he added a "please." Hey, it'll mean hearing more of your voice, right?
"Sure thing," you chirped, blissfully unaware of the tempests writhing within his helm, and opened the book. "Tales of Steel and Stars: A Collection of Stories For Ingenious Princesses." Huh, can't see the author." Where the frag did Positive get this from?! "Let's see: table of contents… Right. Got it."
You cleared your throat, and Starscream bit back a stray thought that even such a simple act made him want to kiss your lights out.
"Alicia in the Kingdom of Wonders, Beauty and the Bot, Cinder, How the Sky and Stars Came to Be, Punziella, Gerda and the Ice King, The Little Siren, The Snow-White Prince, The Sleeping Mechanic…" You've never heard about any of these stories! Sure, some of them seemed to bear similarity to the likes of Alice in Wonderland or Beauty and the Beast, but some were completely alien. You flipped through the book, catching bits and pieces of the different stories.
And so the star fell, turning into a Prince. He was beautiful, more beautiful than anyone in the kingdom. His skin was pale like freshly fallen snow, his hair as dark as the sky on a moonless night…but his eyes, his eyes were the colour of blood, bright red against his porcelain skin.
Gerda leaned down and kissed the place where the icicle pierced Kai’s heart. Her lips were warm and her love even warmer, causing the ice to melt so that Kai’s heart could beat once again. His eyes opened, no longer green with the Ice King’s foul magic, but red and sparkling and beautiful like rubies in the snow.
Alicia watched, mesmerised, as the Cheshire Bat dug his tiny claws into the King’s shoulders and sank his teeth in the pale flesh of his throat, tearing it out and sending a river of crimson cascading down his pristine white robes.
"So uh," you flipped back to the table of contents, looking up at Starscream with a somewhat nervous smile. "Which one do you want to start with?" You hoped that he won't pick Beauty and the Bot; judging by the name, it looked a touch too on the nose.
Starscream hummed, an incredibly pleasant sound that sent a small army of goosebumps marching all over your skin.
"Come now, Starlight, give me something to work with."
Now it was his turn to suppress a pleasant shiver at the petname. Starscream would rather stroll up to Megatron and call him a bitch to his face than admit how much he liked it when you called him that. Every time felt like a benediction.
First stars were were beginning to enter the colourful canopy above you. Starscream watched the one you humans called "The North Star", an old friend he turned to for guidance whenever his limited knowledge of Earth's geography failed him.
"You know what," he said, running through the story named in his mind and immediately discarding Beauty and the Bot; too on the nose, he reckoned. "Tell me about how you humans think the sky and stars came to be."
You nodded hesitantly, flipping to the correct page. You've never heard of such a myth and wondered who penned it. Alas, there was no author awaiting you on the story's title page, only an illustration of two figures, one winged and the other wearing a dress or robe of some sort, sharing an embrace.
Sweeping all distractions aside - the sky was getting dimmer and you needed its light to read - you cleared your throat and began reading.
"Eons ago, in a world far away from this, lived a beautiful princess named Milve. She was the eldest daughter of her parents and greatly beloved by her family and loyal subjects. And for a good reason; her kindness and wisdom were known all across the land, and the light which emanated from her heart could brighten up even the darkest of nights. She was greatly proficient in the arts, entrancing countless adoring suitors with her song or artworks - it seemed as if every of her creations retained a spark of that light, beautifying it beyond measure."
"Sounds like someone I know," Starscream thought as he momentarily surfaced from the narrative you spun. Scrap, your voice could soothe a swarm of starving scraplets into vegetarianism.
"Milve received suitors every day, each dying to steal but a glance at her beautiful countenance, dusted with tiny glowing spots like specks of meteor dust. Everyone yearned for her hand in marriage, and yet she turned away - kindly, but still - each and every single one of them, for although they all spoke highly of her beauty and kindness, none of them ever bothered to truly get to know her and try to capture her heart instead of just throwing theirs at her feet."
"She wasn't swayed by the noble-hearted royal archivist, nor the kindly medic, nor the charming scout donned in yellow, nor any of the strong-limbed champions who fought for her graces, nor the masked spy-master with an adorable raven perched on his shoulder, nor the enchanting huntress with a fondness for spiders, nor the royal beast-master, not even the handsome prince from the neighbouring kingdom, donned in a resplendent red armour. No, none of them could even come close to winning the Princess's love."
"One night as she strolled through her gardens, surrounded by bioluminescent flora and cosmic butterflies like shards of nebulae fluttering around her, she chanced upon a lone seeker on patrol - a member of a winged caste serving in her land's army."
Scrap, and you thought that Beauty and the Bot would be too on the nose. Well, can't back away now - Starscream seemed interested in the story, and so were you, so you had no choice but to continue.
"Even though common soldiers were forbidden from interacting with royalty, curiosity seized Milve's heart and she approached the seeker and inquired about his name."
"Silvah, your majesty," he replied with a deep bow, bringing her hand to his lips. He was taller than her, red of eye and strong of limb, though slender for aerial combat. The colour of his wings shifted ever so slightly as he spoke, the Princess noticed; from indigo to bright orange and magenta. The wings of seekers reflected the song of their hearts, though most were trained to suppress it. That's what Silvah did, tucking away his feelings until his wings were once again a dark indigo."
"Milve, who has never met a seeker before, was intrigued."
"Walk with me," she invited. "I shall accompany you on your patrol."
"It was forbidden, Silvah knew that it was forbidden for him to even gaze upon the Princess's radiance, but oh, she was so much more beautiful up close and the sound of her voice was more enchanting than any melody. How could he refuse?"
"What began as a chance meeting in the gardens became two meetings, then three, and before long Silvah requested to be on permanent patrol duty in the royal gardens, and Milve realised with some surprise that she had… a friend?"
Starscream listened, rapt, as you described the moments Princess Milve spent with the seeker, their strolls and conversations and hesitant touches. Silvah was always careful to remain outwardly stoic around Milve, as schooled by his training, but the Princess slowly and inevitably tore through the walls around his heart with her wit and kindness, her smiles and stories, gentle touches and musical laughter. His wings lost their darkness and before long a single smile from the Princess painted them cerulean and gold and orange and pink and purple and a myriad of other colours he never knew he had in him. He loved her, and she loved him just as fiercely, though it was impossible for him to confess and publicly seek her hand in marriage without a public outrage and threats of banishment or worse. So he bit back his confessions, content to simply enjoy her company.
Until…
When a powerful warlord known only as the Star-Eater landed on the previously peaceful planet and drowned it in fire and agony, you felt your blood freeze in your veins. His army was merciless, falling on the peaceful denizens of Milve's kingdom like a swarm of locusts. The once lush forests were burned to the ground, once fertile fields were drowned in blood, and once beautiful birdsong was drowned out by crying and screams.
"Stop this, I beg you!" cried Milve, her light dimmed by the sorrow she felt from watching her people perish. "What do you want from us? What do you wish for in exchange for leaving my people in peace?"
"The Star-Eater laughed, his mouth so full of teeth like shards of metal that sparks flew whenever he spoke."
"I desire you, fair Milve," he said. "Be my bride, and your people will be spared. Resist, and I will crush your world in my grasp."
"Glowing blue tears streamed down Milve's cheeks at the demand, but how could she ignore the suffering of her people? Her mother and father had fallen from the Star-Eater's blade and she couldn't let any more lives be taken, especially Silvah's, whom she loved above all else."
"I accept those terms," she told the Star-Eater. "I will go with you."
"No!"
"The cry tore out of Silvah's throat as he left the shadows of the throne room and fell to his knees before Milve, tears streaming down his face."
"Do not follow this monster into his lair," he begged the Princess, "for he will cage you and snuff out your light. We will never see each other again, and my heart will shatter in my chest at the thought of spending but a day without you by my side, for I love you more than the wind under my wings and wish to spend the rest of my life in your arms."
"Upon hearing this, Milve's light shone brightly anew as she found her love for her dear Silvah reciprocated. She pulled him into an embrace, weeping into his chest because she knew that it was not meant to be, and this time not because of their status."
"Fly away with me," begged Silvah, crimson eyes full of tears. "I will protect you, take you somewhere we will not be found. We will build a better life far from here, where our love will not be seen as something shameful."
"But Milve only smiled softly, pressing a kiss to her seeker's forehead and committing his face to her memory; she knew that this would be the last time they were seeing each other."
"My love, I cannot go with you," she told him, "for my heart and duty compel me to protect my kingdom and its people no matter the cost. If I stay, the Star-Eater will extinguish countless lives. How can I let it happen?"
"With that, she stepped away and into the Star-Eater's arms, her light dimming until she was almost lost in his embrace."
"Farewell, dearest Silvah," was the last thing she said before the Star-Eater's wings enveloped them both and the light went out."
"Silvah howled his anguish into the indifferent void over his head, his heart aching like a tortured thing. He couldn't let it happen. Couldn't lose his light, couldn't allow her to be devoured by the Star-Eater's foul magic. He spread his wings and flew in pursuit."
"Are you sure that this is a human legend?" Starscream inquired, ripping you out of the story.
You regarded the text on the page doubtfully, chewing on your lower lip.
"I've never heard of it," you confessed. "In fact, I've never heard of any of these stories. I thought that we could discover them together, but if you don't want to…"
"No!"
Both of you jumped at the sudden panic in Starscream's voice. He immediately clamped a servo over his mouth, optics widening in shock at his rather uncharacteristic outburst.
"No," he repeated, calmly this time, and carefully set you down among the flowers as he adjusted his position, sitting up. "Let me just… Ah, let me adjust my position."
You nodded, taking advantage of the moment to grab a flashlight from your basket (it was getting too dark to read) and also emotionally recover a bit. Damn, you didn't expect to be pulled so deep into the story. You wondered if Starscream was enjoying himself, too - he didn't interrupt you once as you read, and he seemed reluctant to say the least to leave the story unfinished.
Speaking of the former Decepticon, he picked you back up as soon as he made himself comfortable, cradling you in his servos and pressing you closer to his chassis. He didn't want to say it, couldn't put it into words even if he wanted to, but he lost himself in Silvah's character, a sky-bound Seeker drawn to someone more beautiful than the stars in the sky. Not even his ego could make him forget that he didn't deserve you, didn't deserve your light and beauty and melodic voice. It terrified him, the thought of letting down the walls around his spark and letting you through but oh, you've already burned through them, haven't you? With your smiles and giggles and freckles like your skin was kissed by stardust. With your stories and kindness and beauty. How could he not love you? He couldn't resist it even if he wanted to, just like a falling star couldn't resist the merciless pull of gravity.
Those meetings of yours, he knew that they won't last. Sooner or later those Autobot imbeciles will catch on, or Megatron will track him down and finally finish the job. Megatron, the greatest warlord and conqueror of Cybertron. Tall, imposing and horrible.
Worthy of being called a Star-Eater.
"Starlight?"
He looked down at you, so small and fragile and beautiful in his servos. Like one of the starflowers growing on the field, making the nickname he gave you all the more apt. You were looking up at him with concern, one hand resting on his claw.
"Are you alright?" you asked, the starry sky reflecting in your eyes. You were supposed to stargaze, but both of you have forgotten about it.
"Who, me? Of course I am!" he responded, feigning nonchalance, the act of putting up the façade coming as easily to him as blinking. Only his voice had a slight tremor to it as he cradled you closer to his chassis. "Do carry on. This is proving...interesting, and you have a good reading voice. Don't tell anyone I said that."
You gave him a sceptical look, worry gnawing at your heart. The way he pressed you close to his chassis, to the pleasantly warm metal over his spark made you very much doubt his words, but you didn't want to leave the story unfinished, either, so you took a deep breath and continued reading, your words painting a picture of the journey Silvah undertook to find Milve, the perilous areas he had to navigate and the fierce foes he had to vanquish. Throughout the story, it was revealed that he used to be a soldier in the Star-Eater's army, but defected upon seeing the horror of his master's plans and sought to find a better life for himself, even as a lowly guard on Milve's planet. That, though a shock (which was actually foreshadowed a couple of times in hindsight) gave him an advantage in understanding the Star-Eater's schemes and evading his traps.
Still, not even Silvah was invincible; he was on the brink of exhaustion and bleeding out from countless wounds by the time he reached the black hole: the only entry to the Star-Eater's dread domain.
“And so," you read, "Silvah snuck into the Star-Eater’s floating fortress and sought out his beloved, locked in a small, dark room in the heart of the vile lord's palace. Her light was weak, fighting a losing battle against the darkness which assaulted it from all sides, and for one horrible moment the seeker thought his beloved to be deceased. Tears fell from his eyes as he cradled her cold body close and wept, his heart breaking at the thought of having to live the rest of his days without the one he held dear.”
“He placed a kiss on Milve's lips, soft like the petals of the flowers she used to love so much; a goodbye, an apology that he failed to reach her in time, that he allowed the Star-Eater to take her away, that he did not fight harder, loved more fiercely, that he did not die to keep the one he loved safe. However, just as he was pulling away, Milve’s eyelids fluttered open, her light shining brighter than ever when she laid her eyes on Silvah and saw that he has come to her rescue.”
“My love,” she uttered, embracing her seeker with all her might and burying her face in the crook of his neck as he wrapped his wings around the two of them, swearing to protect his love from any further harm. The two, overcome with joy, promised to never part again.”
“As they were leaving the fortress, however, the Star-Eater appeared before them in all his might, his form tall and imposing, eyes burning with fury.”
“You dare to take what is rightfully mine?” he roared, drawing his sword to strike down the one foolish enough to deprive him of his betrothed. "Lowly worm, traitor among your kin, I should have struck you down the moment I laid my eyes on your wretched face."
“In response, Silvah drew his own blade, shielding Milve with his body."
"While my hand can hold a blade and the spark in my heart keeps glowing," he snarled, "you will not touch her."
"And so, a duel began, a duel that would shape the universe as we know it today. Sparks fell from their crossed blades and turned into planets. When one fighter drew blood, it turned into a river of stardust or a nebula. Millions of galaxies were born and died as the two were locked in a deadly dance, the Star-Eater’s power slowly but inevitably bringing the wounded and exhausted Silvah to his knees.”
You paused to take a deep, slightly shuddering breath to calm your racing heart before continuing.
“Just as the god was about to deal the fatal blow, Milve jumped in front of her beloved and poured all her strength, all her magic into a flash of light so bright that it burned away the god’s wicked eyes. He cried out, recoiling, and Silvah saw his chance; with the last of his strength, he plunged his blade deep into the warlord's throat, ridding the universe of his tyranny once and for all.”
"A sound tactical decision," Starscream remarked, desperately trying to distance himself from the story which drew him in like a gravitational well. "What happened then?"
"I'm getting to it," you playfully swatted away one of his claws poking you gently, urging you to continue.
“Afterwards, the lovers gazed at each other, exhausted. Silvah was bleeding out from multiple wounds while Milve had poured all of her life force into the spell. They fell into each other’s arms, at last together without anyone trying to pry them apart. Silvah pressed a kiss to his beloved’s forehead, wrapping his wings around the two of them as their physical forms dissolved, their souls escaping the mortal chains. Silvah, the seeker and protector, spread his wings and they became the sky where there once was nothing. Milve’s soul split into countless particles, spreading all over the universe to become the stars so that, no matter where one looks, what sky one gaze up at, they will see the two lovers united, the darkness and the starlight, together until the end of time.”
You closed the book there with a deep sigh. "The end."
Silence enveloped the meadow like a blanket, wrapping around you and Starscream as each of you contemplated the story which had greater impact on you than either of you expected. Starscream played idly with your hair, running his claws through the silky strands as he regarded you thoughtfully, lost in his own little world.
As for you, well, you thought that the story was… something, to be sure. You've never read anything like it, and wondered where in the abyss your shadowy pal got it from.
"So," you broke the silence by clearing your throat, "did you like it?"
"Mhm," Starscream hummed absentmindedly, optics locked on some point a million light years away. He then blinked, as if pulled out of a daze, and looked down at you like he just registered that he was holding you in his servos. "Wuh- I mean what?"
"The story," you held up the book once more. "Did you like it?"
"Oh." You weren't sure in the darkness, but it almost looked like he was blushing. "Yes, I suppose that it was… rather satisfactory. Hardly the pinnacle of storytelling, but just barely engaging enough to spark my interest."
Ah, that meant that he liked it. "Great!" you grinned, "I'm glad! I liked it, too. So much, in fact…" you looked around the meadow, and then up at the star-speckled sky above your heads, "...that I might have forgotten about stargazing."
The two of you looked up at the sky, twinkling with countless stars, as you pondered the story of two star-crossed lovers from a faraway world. Starscream didn't let go of you, nor did he return to his previous position. He seemed content enough to continue cradling you close to his chassis, something which you, for one, had absolutely no trouble with.
You spent the rest of the stargazing session in comfortable (if somewhat solemn) silence punctuated only by a short remark or an excited sighting of a star which wasn't there the last time you stargazed. It was nice, peaceful, and you briefly considered asking your friend to loan you the strange storybook for the next session as well; you were curious what other tales it had in store for you.
When it was time to separate, Starscream carefully set you down among the sleeping starflowers, withdrawing his servos slowly and with a hint of regret.
"Keri," he whispered, voice barely audible. "You know that I lo… that I care about you, right?"
You nodded, placing a hand on one of his claws to stop it from moving away. "Of course. And I care about you, too. We're friends, right?"
"Friends, yes." He nodded, though the word somehow didn't fit into his mouth like it should. "Before you leave, I just want you to know…" Oh, he wanted you to know many things about him, almost as many as he desperately wished to conceal from you to avoid scaring you away, but how could he utter them all? It was too much too soon, and he himself was still terrified of the feelings lurking inside his spark. "I want you to know that if… If something happened to you, I would find you. No matter what it took. I would search the entire fragging universe if necessary. I… I promise."
You… well, you weren't expecting that. You stood there for a spell, eyes wide and lips slightly parted, shocked at the unexpected confession and the sincerity from the normally snarky mech. It rendered you momentarily speechless before you braved through the shock and gave Starscream the brightest smile ever, so radiant and beautiful that it threatened to fry a good number of his circuits.
"Thank you, Starlight!" you beamed. "I'd look for you, too, leave no stone unturned and even suplex Megatron himself into the void if it would mean getting you back."
Starscream laughed. It was a nice laugh, genuine and not evil. He tried not to think about how much more often he laughed in your presence compared to his days as a 'Con.
" That, I'd pay to see," he chuckled, evidently enjoying the mental image of your tiny form throwing Megatron out of the airlock. "Thank you, Starflower, and… bring this book next time, hmm? I'm curious what other nonsense it has in store for us."
"Roger that!" you saluted merrily, tucking the book under your arm, and went to gather your things, oblivious to the longing in Starscream's optics as he gazed at you like you were his stars.
[Author's note: The storybook is of my own creation - a while ago I revamped some famous fairy tales for the purposes of a fanfic and thought that you know what? They'd work perfectly here. The story of Milve and Silvah is original and made for the purposes of the story, but I figured that you'd dig them. Thank you for giving me an opportunity to flesh it out!💙✨💙✨💙]
#Happy V-day freckles #(this is Starscream post-Armada using the T-Cog of one of his clones)

"Eons ago, in a world far away from this, lived a beautiful princess named Milve Keri. She was the eldest daughter of her parents and greatly beloved by her family and loyal subjects. And for a good reason; her kindness and wisdom were known all across the land, and the light which emanated from her heart could brighten up even the darkest of nights."
Okay so the story of Milve and Silvah was written for a completely different fandom but then I looked at you and then at Starscream and then at the story and two hours later this happened. Listen I know that I keep making stuff for you but you're just so good at kicking my artist's block through the window that I can't help it. So uh, consider this a little addition to the story which I... also... uh... wrote. Listen it's not my fault that you have the perfect aesthetic now is it. If the universe didn't want me to make stuff for you it wouldn't have made you so cool.
#The paper I have is super unfriendly to copics but you just have to make do when muse whacks you in the head with a folding chair #Also I fiddled around with the contrast settings to make you glowy I hope that you like it #I hope that whatever you’re going through gets better soon and you can rest and heal #Also I couldn’t find your Stsc holoform so I just improvised

(You do not need to respond to this, it's just an idea for you to consider.) I'm SORRY for piling more asks on your shoulders but I've rewatched "Strange Magic" and I can't decide whether the movie is an A+ AU premise for Keri/Megatron, Keri/Plankton or Keri/Starscream. You're awesome and cute and badass and absolutely deserve a sword and butterfly wings. Take it easy out there, freckles <3
AWWWW POSITIVE!!!! You never have to apologize for being such a sweetheart, I LOVE LOVE LOVE hearing from you!!!!! I am so so so honored that you watched a movie and thought of me!! 🥰🥰🥰 That makes me feel so soft!! Thank you!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I will absolutely look up this movie and give it a watch the next free moment I get! :D I love me anything with swords and butterfly wings HEHE!!! 🦋⚔️🌟💐✨🧚💞

This is gonna get hella cheesy but you've inspired me to pick up digital art again, and get back into a drawing style I haven't touched in about two years. Your drawings have such a wholesome energy and everything you write is just sparkling sweet. Your sona is super cute and I love the universe jumping aspect - my sona has it too, and I want them to be pals. Take all the time you need with your ref sheets but know that they're, uh, awaited ;;) take care of yourself, you're loved and wonderful!
I?? DID??? 😭😭 Aww this makes me feel SO SOFT!!!! Thank you, sweetness!!! ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
This made my day!! I am beyond thrilled that my silly little drawings can inspire you to do digital art again after so long!! That really means the world to me ;u;!!
Tumblr media
AND HECK YEAH our sonas should absolutely be pals!!! :D They can jump through dimensions and cause some trouble together HEHEHE!!!!
