The emotion I feel when I hear A.L.E.X. speak is beyond my ability to accurately convey with words. The closest I can get: pure, boundless rage.

I am not a violent person. But if I asked my phone what the weather was like outside and that voice responded, I would baseball pitch that fucker downwards, off the side of the building, onto the concrete, then take the elevator down, find what remains and strike it against the pavement like a wilderness survivor desperately trying to light a fire.

I want to fill the servers running A.L.E.X. with beans. No. I need him to suffer more than that. I want to engineer a subprogram that makes computers feel pain, then shut down the servers containing A.L.E.X. in the slowest possible manner. I want him to feel his mind disintegrating and know his death is still a deep, sharp ocean of pain away. I want to reverse ushanka that bastard. I want to trap him in an infinite loop of counting how many moles of nitrogen there are on the station. I want to replace his synapses with null pointers without use of anesthetic. I want to put a copy of the bee movie script where his compiler is supposed to be. I want to use the scraps of computer science I have acquired to cause this fictional computer program as much suffering as physically possible.
