The Finger Lakes estate winery of esteemed winemaker Paul Hobbs, just announced a very interesting new wine release. Hillick and Hobbs, grows some 20 plus acres of riesling on the East bank of Seneca Lake. Past releases have been only vintage dry rieslings. Disc Golf in The Finger Lakes- Back 40 at Fulkerson Winery and Farm

I have a hard time not looking at everything through a Disc Golf lens. It is funny to me and maybe a little annoying to my partner. She may remark that a view is so beautiful or some architecture is so cool. I agree and was imagining that it would make a sweet tunnel shot or it calls for a bomb hyzer. She sees a place for a picnic and I see that too, plus some ideas for pin placements.

We live in the Finger Lakes at the south end of Seneca Lake. We both have spent most of our lives in this area and we love it here. It is a beautiful place and perfect for people who like outdoor activities like hiking, camping, and fishing. Tourists come here to visit from around the world, and it is a place where people like to have a vacation home. The pace of life can be enjoyably slow here. The winters are getting increasingly milder but are cold and grey enough that it makes summer something we cherish.

So naturally, this is a great place to throw frisbees at targets! That is lucky for the solid foundation of Disc Golfers in The Finger Lakes. The recent growth of the sport has given us more places to play. Some newly established courses on Seneca lake have already started to be recognized as some of the best disc golf destinations in the world. We are taking advantage of this prosperous time in the sport.

Crypto “currencies” are at best playthings for anarcho-libertarians and at worst a digital Ponzi scheme.

A lot of people have regarded crypto as a get rich quick scheme. The thing is, by the time word spreads to the general public about ANY get rich quick scheme, it’s almost always too late to make money off of it.

The excessive use of electricity required to “mine” crypto accelerates climate change. Cheers to the State of New York for moving to close down the crypto Greenidge Generation Plant on Seneca Lake.

Crypto is basically bullshit. It has value only because some people claim it has value. Unlike real currencies, there is nothing to back it up except wishful thinking.

Instead of listening to vacuous celebrities making crypto commercials, people should have been listening to real economists like Nouriel Roubini. Prof. Roubini saw the Lehman Bros. failure coming in 2008 and foresaw the subsequent economic collapse.

If you still have any crypto, dump it before it totally evaporates.
