Taking part in these lovely sentence starters I couldn't pick between Junjo and Sekaiichi but I just rewatched sekaiichi hatsukoi sooo I'll go with that!

“I’m mean? How would you like me to critique people, then?” Takano asked as he and Ritsu stepped out of the elevator, headed to their respective apartments for the night. At least, that was Ritsu’s plan, anyway – but god knew Takano often managed to get him into his own apartment one way or another.

“Just be nicer about it,” Ristu muttered. “It’s not that hard. Instead of saying something sucked, you could say you understand what they were trying to do but think it would come across better a different way. Authors are delicate creatures, you know.”

“Too delicate.” Takano sighed. “Whatever. I stand by my methods, and I daresay you could learn from them yourself, Onodera.”

“I don’t think so.”

“Hey.” Takano grabbed his hand. “Stay with me tonight.”

Ritsu yanked his hand away. “No, thank you.”

“What’s the matter? Should I be nicer in my methods of persuasion?”

“You could stop grabbing me randomly like that, for one.”

Takano shook his head. “Maybe you just need a lighter touch.”

“L-Lighter…touch?” Ritsu took a step back, gasping when he felt the wall behind him. Takano trapped him against it. He didn’t like where this was going. “Whatever you’re thinking, it’s a bad idea.”

“Oh?” The taller man smirked, gently trailing his fingers down Ritsu’s sides to his waist. “You used to love it when I tickled you, remember?”

Ritsu’s eyes went wide. He struggled to keep his giggles at bay but was helpless against his wide smile. “S-Stop it!”

“Don’t you remember, Onodera? How you used to beg me to tickle you in high school?”

“Shut up! I’m not a kid anymore!”

“No,” Takano conceded, grabbing onto his sides with a vengeance and wrestling him into his apartment with relentless tickling, grinning at the squeals and giggles he got in response. “But you’re still just as ticklish.”

“Nohohohohohoho! W-Wahahahahahait! Takano! S-Stohohohohohohop…!”

Looking back in the anime I realized that Takano was inviting over ritsu for actual work, cause ~someone~ was sabotaging it, which makes more since as to why he was angry.

He fr thought his high school ex was just a rich play boy who rode off his father’s success.

Also cause he maybe thought that ritsu wasn’t interested and was offended?

Idk but when ritsu pushed how he did do his work despite not being interested it confused him. So when ritsu kinda admitted he was jealous of yokozawa i think takano connected the dots that yokozawa must be involved, he decided to incase keep a closer eye on ritsu.

After this i just cant help but think this was a turning point in ther feelings for each other and where he started to fall for ritsu when he saw how devouted to his work he is, aswell as his stubberness.

There could be more into it but i also cant help but think how takano at this time was already planning on breaking his heart and make ritsu fall for him, just to get revenge BUT ritsu showing how affected he was by his teasing, seeing how takano can get along with yokozawa hurt him…that just immediately called off the plan. Idk ok its just a thought

Overall its so comlicated and i cant help but think about it especially cause im JUST realizing these details

Reading the newer chapters i like the development and how they kinda fixed some things, actually addressed how toxic their relationship was, like takano is less forceful, less sex, more soft moments❤️😔

Also like how ritsu is genuinely working to open up and show that he likes takano back compared to before where he was lowkey mean😭

I do get fustrated about Ritsu not confessing but damn takano always had alternative motives when the relationship first starts,

Back in high school he wanted to crush ritsu’s spirit. Why? Ill asume jealousy since he sid admit that looking at someone like ritsu made him see his flaws in himself.

But then they met later on, he told yokozawa that he planned to get ritsu to fall for him so that way he could drop him like ritsu did all those years.

Ofc both times takano fell for ritsu but it honestly makes me think that bro deserves the wait😭
