Hello everyone and happy #stacksaturday today I’m hopping on the #emotionsstack which I saw on the lovely @memydogandbooks page 😄 Happiness - a book you enjoyed Devotion by Hannah Kent. I loved this book. Read it with @keeperofpages review to follow! 😍 😭 Sadness - a book that gives you all the feels The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot by Marianne Cronin. This was part of @emmasbookishcorner reading challenge and was also a #wasitworththebump book - review also to follow but WOW 🤩 🙈 Embarrassed - a book on my TBR that everyone seems to have read I’ve gone for Animal by Lisa Taddeo. I know not everyone has read it but I have been hearing about it a lot!! 🥳 Anticipation - a book you’re excited to read The Kingdoms by Natasha Pulley. I love her writing and am so excited to get to this, her latest novel. 😯 Surprised - a book you’re surprised you liked Flamingo by Rachel Elliott. I talked about this book in a recent review. From the cover, I wasn’t sure if it was for me but I thoroughly enjoyed it! 😱 Fear - a book you’re scared to read. Shakespeare in Autumn, select plays and the complete sonnets. The Winter books of @thomasnelson’s Seasons Editions! . #QOTD: What are some of the prettiest books you have or wish you’d have? . These are definitely some of the most gorgeous books I’ve ever seen, and I’m so glad I got them for Christmas! They have sprayed edges, and the covers are laser-cut designs! It’s the start of a new week and I hope you all have an amazing one. Let’s celebrate with another book haul! 😜 The book in the middle is another gorgeous Seasons edition that I preordered. When I saw they were going to release Anne Of Green Gables in their Autumn batch, I couldn’t resist it, even though I already have a Readers Digest edition on my shelves. It’s one of my favourite childhood reads and I think I need ALL the editions. I also broke my book buying ban 🙈(only preorders and books bought with vouchers allowed) with this gorgeous Illumicrate edition of The Night Circus. @keeperofpages read it recently and loved it and when we were chatting I realised I needed a physical copy for my shelves. It’s okay, I’m back on the horse now…no more books except preorders I’ve already made and books bought with vouchers!! 🤣💪🏻 Finally Dune, the only unread book in this haul and one I’m completely intimidated by but couldn’t resist pre-ordering the Waterstones special edition with gorgeous sprayed edges! Good morning from the UK everyone and happy Friday! It’s an especially exciting Friday for me as I’m off work next week. I’m so looking forward to a break and hopefully lots of reading! It’s time for a book haul 😍😜 I’m putting the blame for these gorgeous Seasons Editions on @tarheelreader 🤪 because I just couldn’t resist these when I bought them a while ago (before my current book ban 😅). The one on the left is Dracula, the Seasons Winter Edition by Bram Stoker. I already have this in the #penguinclothboundclassics edition but did I need another one? Well yes I did! The classic in the middle is Shakespeare In Autumn, select plays and the full sonnets. I had a hankering for this one after I studied a lot of Shakespeare in my English Lit A Level but it’s been a while, so we’ll see how I get on! 😅🤣 Finally, on the right is Sense and Sensibility the Seasons Fall edition by Jane Austen. It’s one of my favourite Austen’s after Pride and Prejudice so delighted to have this edition. And yes, I’ll probably get the Penguin Clothbound classic at some point too. 😂 I’d love to know your thoughts on any of these books or authors. Do you enjoy classics?
