Yoko Ono (born February 18, 1933) is a multimedia artist, singer, songwriter, and activist. She is known for her performance art and filmmaking. She mixes various medium of art that doesn’t seem to make sense on paper, but when you see it, you’re like,“ oh, I get it !“she is mainly known for being the second wife and widow of the famed Beatle John Lennon. Yoko also keeps her late husband’s desire for peace for everyone alive. When  John was performing with Chuck Berry, Yoko was in the background screaming into a microphone as her version of backup vocals. The sound guy ended up cutting up her mic. As a couple, John and Yoko were activists known for their elaborate protests for peace and their experimental music with John and The Beatles also, their band Plastic Ono Band. Yoko is still performing her form of art and music occasionally with her son Sean Lennon.

Note
For the Beatles ask: 3,5,7,8,9,14,16,18,19 :)
Thank you! 💙
Beatles Asks 🥁 🎹
3. Hippie Beatles or Teddy Beatles?
Hippie...though I think they looked their best (and healthiest) in 1965.
5. Favorite movie to promote an album?
I go back and forth between AHDN and Help!... AHDN for the better dialog and Help! because I think it's the funnier sillier one.
7. Thoughts on Yoko Ono?
Ooh ok I usually stay away from this topic. Wasn't crazy about her breaking up John's marriage, but he was just as guilty of that too. And sitting right there in the middle of the recording sessions with him all the time was a bit intrusive too. Also the way she treated Julian and Paul in the past was pretty cold.
But on the flip side, that was the past. These days she seems like a cool lady. She had to witness her husband being murdered and has been strong through it all. She went on to raise a wonderful son Sean, who has formed a sweet bond with his brother Julian. And I think her and John did become a good match for each other.
8. Did you like Paul's beard?
Lol that depends. I love how it looks on the left with longer hair. Balance is the key here. The look he's sporting on the right is just...a big "no" for me. Also not a fan of the p*rnstache from the mid 70's.

9. Is there a song that you feel gets more attention than it needs?
Tough one. Maybe Help! and She Loves You?
14. Would you have George teach you guitar or Ringo teach you drums?
Since my skills are minimal with both instruments, I would say both!
16. Least favorite album?
I can't think of one! 🤔 Well it's not a Beatles record, but there was "A Toot and A Snore in '74" which had John and Paul jamming on it - and that's pretty much what it is - just jamming.
18. Is there an album or song that you hated but learned to love?
I don't really hate any Beatles songs besides "Revolution #9" which isn't exactly a song anyway. I wasn't wild about "Thank You Girl" but now it's grown on me because of how John Lennon later described it. It makes me laugh so it's a keeper for me.
19. Did you ever hate a member?
Nahhh "hate" is a strong word! Have I gotten annoyed when one of them would get a little attitude? Yes! I'll leave it at that. 😅

Practice Makes Perfect
Song of the day: Tomorrow Never Came – Lana Del Rey, Sean Ono Lennon
Today was actually pretty fun! We had the entire day to rehearse for our Bible Month performance. The good news is we finished one of the dances, and I must say, it's pretty good. Everyone picked up the choreography well, and there were no issues catching up with each other. I'm really thankful we had this practice time; without it, we'd probably be miles away from accomplishing anything.
We also got to watch the elementary department's "United Nations" celebration. The kids looked adorable in their cultural outfits. I would've loved to see my sister on stage introducing the country she chose to represent, but she couldn't because she was sick. At least she managed to take a few photos of her costume and send them to her teachers. So, it wasn't a total waste of effort. Our time was cut short because we were called back to continue rehearsals. It was a good call, considering how hot it was in the gymnasium. It would've been worse for the kids if the room was cramped and stuffier.
By the end of the day, we watched the Grade 9 and 10 presentations for Bible Month. I was impressed, especially with Grade 9; their speech choir was amazing. It was clean and synchronized. Their use of props was what really impressed me. Their Bible chapter covered Adam and Eve, and they used apples as props. It was super clever. Props to them!
That sums up my day—it was very successful and productive. Tomorrow will be basically the same since we have to attend face-to-face classes to make room for practice. The day the visitors arrive is approaching, so we need to step up our game to leave a lasting impression.

Today marks 41 years ago since a musical legend was horribly taken away with us. John had his problems and his faults but no matter what his music brought people this form of peace.
Tumblr media
John always wanted to be a somebody when he was young, and he succeed amazingly by being a part of one of the greatest bands of all times. His talent got him places that not even his aunt could imagine.
Tumblr media
He lived with his aunt since he was young. He went through two marriages and both created two beautiful talented boys Julian and Sean. Though his relationship was rocky with his first son, he created a good bond before he was taken away.
Tumblr media
He loved New York and the last ten years of his life he identified as a New Yorker. He also spent the last ten years of his life to create peace on earth. His song like Imagine is the practical national anthem for peace. His campaign was Anti-War and did a bed-ins for peace due to the violence of the Vietnam war.

Rest heavenly John💚

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOHN LENNON AND SEAN ONO LENNON "John talked baby talk, tickled [Sean], threw him in the air, slipped him between his knees and prompted him with spontaneous learning games. ... There was no mistaking it: John was Sean's mommy." — David Sheff

Four decades since the world lost John Lennon.
A lifetime. His lifetime.
But he is remembered and his voice is cherished.
He is loved and he is respected.
The world lost John Lennon, but we never forgot him. And we never will.
