Same doorstep 60 years apart.

This pic was taken in the early 60s, certainly no later than June 1964, which is when the family moved to Glasgow. That's my brother in the foreground mixing armour and baggy shorts. Self behind in a weird stripy cardigan, oversize cowboy hat, equally baggy shorts and strange sandals.

The Morans lived next door in the other half of the semi. Adventures awaited around the corner at the end of the street.

Jump forward sixty years.

"Many painting by Artur Przebindowski remind me of mega-cities, oceans of roofs. Maybe even slams? One can't help but worry about the overpopulation of the mega cities: lack of green spaces, trees, water scarcity... This is where the tittle of the collection comes from:

For this collection I've choosen one of the Przebindowki's paintings and designed the print. After long research, we found a printing company in Poland. They prepared the textiles based on my digital design and send the ready materials back to London, UK. Like most of my creations: I've made the collection in my living room.

So far the collection has been shown twice: at the Museum Night in Wrocław, Poland and during the Forest Hill Fashion Week in London, UK" #PalianShow

Heya everyone,

let's talk coffee! Not only is Rise Café local for me but was also heavily recommended by my sister who claims this , personally , was some of the best coffee she's had in a very long time so obviously i had to try it myself.

Immediately, the sign on the top of the shop was rustic giving a welcoming feel to the shop. In addition, there was an open window which enables customers to order without having to step into the shop making it convenient for take aways and avoids crowding in the café itself. As i've said before, mochas with milk alternatives (like oat or soya) are my current obsession so thats what i ordered.

I didn't actually step into the shop but from an outside view there were families inside with delicious looking pastries and coffees at tables on the surprisingly spacious inside. Tables outside were also full with seemingly happy and satisfied customers on the summers day.

Now to the good stuff - the coffee! The wait was a little under five minutes and was a rather reasonable price totalling at £3.30 ( however prices can vary from £2.65 depending on wether you eat in or take away)
