Reintroducing my FNaF OC…
Scout the Dog!
Disclaimer: Scout is NOT possessed by the spirit of a child.
Physical description: Scout is a brown dog animatronic with sky blue eyes and a paw-printed bandana. He has a tan torso, big dark brown ears, two spots on each of his cheeks, and a spot on his back. The end of his tail is also dark brown, and he has black eyebrows. He stands six feet tall and weighs 230 pounds.
Personality description: Charming, playful, and goofy, Scout is a loyal friend and “a great joy to be around” according to kids and parents alike.
He loves the children that come to visit the Funhouse, and he’s often seen playing with them and making them laugh.
Scout’s really just a big kid at heart when he’s with the guests.
He can be perceived as a bit annoying to Mr. Greene and the night guards sometimes; whoever works there at night is tasked with making sure Scout doesn’t get into trouble.
Scout purposely tries to scare the poor night guards during their shifts, and it usually works.
In addition, he can be kind of arrogant; this is due to him being used to constantly receiving attention. However, he means no harm initially and just wants to have fun.
He is no longer the only animatronic at the establishment; Skyla (sky-la) the Cat is the other animatronic there. Scout is still the main animatronic, however!

FNaF OC:
Name: Scout (Scout the Dog)
Species: Animatronic mixed-breed dog
Appearance: Mainly light brown, with a darker patch on his back and tail. His belly is a lighter brown, while his ears are dark. Scout’s eyes are a soft, pale blue color, and he wears a blue bandana around his neck.
Personality: Scout is a playful, charming, and fun-loving animatronic dog with a love for scaring the night guards that arrive in the evenings. He means no real harm initially, but is prone to jealousy at times due to being used to receiving attention. He likes being the center of attention and can be a little arrogant, but despite this, Scout is naturally good-natured.
Backstory: Scout started out as the sole animatronic at his establishment, singing for the children who came, but as families didn’t show up so much after a few years, a new animatronic was added: a female cat robot named Skyla. The feline bot proved to be very popular, maybe even more so than Scout for the time being. They began to make each other look bad in front of everyone, and soon enough, Skyla humiliated Scout onstage. Angry and jealous, Scout decided to enact revenge on her.
He sent her to get something from the backroom, and when she opened the door, a bucket of water spilled on her, causing her to glitch severely and shut down completely.
When management looked into the issue, Scout became nervous; while they didn’t find out it was him, they came to the conclusion that Skyla would have to be extensively fixed, but they couldn’t afford to… meaning she might be scrapped. Cracking under the pressure and guilt, Scout admitted his mistakes; he was punished by being locked in the backroom with the ‘unconscious’ Skyla. Feeling awful, Scout told her he was very sorry and wished he could undo what he did.
Then Skyla is revealed to be just fine, as she was just pretending, to Scout’s relief and horror. When she began to laugh, he could only stare in shock at her. Angry but glad to see her in a stable condition, Scout yelled at her, and they got into an argument that ended with Scout and Skyla apologizing to each other. The two animatronics became friends, finally, and learned to get along… despite sometimes disagreeing and getting into minor arguments.
Relationships: Scout’s relationship with Skyla is generally a good one, though they sometimes bicker and argue. They are on rather good terms, thankfully, but they used to despise each other. Overall, they care for each other, and their relationship is slowly growing stronger and more supportive.
The manager of the place, Mr. Greene, is someone who Scout likes to mess around with. The man is strict, though, and usually Scout gets yelled at in the process. But it’s ok- Mr. Greene isn’t a mean guy. Just crabby.
The night guard on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday is Dina Randall. She’s always tired and never in the mood for Scout’s antics, which makes it more fun to mess with her. But she’s clever, and usually slams the door shut before he can get to her. Dang.
The guard on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday is Grace George, and she’s much easier to scare. Grace is inexperienced and shy, but Scout sometimes takes pity on her and just hangs out to keep her company during the long nights.
He loves the kids, and he very much enjoys hanging out with them, as he’s frequently allowed to roam the building to interact with families. Scout’s protective of them, too, and he tried to keep them away from Skyla at first.
Trivia:
Scout is very much dog-like in his behavior, and will exhibit signs of his canine makeup by panting, barking, whining, etc.
His attitude towards others is dependent upon how interesting they are. If someone’s boring or dull in his eyes, he’ll probably try to annoy them and make them mad. If they’re fun, like how he sees himself, he’ll probably try to befriend them.
The kids sometimes pet him as a means of calming; Scout’s favorite spots to be petted are his ears!
His big mouth (sarcastic and annoying, at times) can get him into trouble, and has before. Scout brushes it off, but sometimes he worries that he’s too annoying. He doesn’t try to be that bad- he just likes messing around!
Scout stands at 6 feet tall and weighs about 230lbs.
