Sausage: (yelling) Yeah, this is not cultural appropriation! Did you know somebody said I was culturally appro-pria-zing--
Jimmy: (laughing) I... Someone...
Sausage: (continued) My own-- my own race! And background-- ethnicity! Did you hear that?
Jimmy: Someone-- Was it a tweet...?
Sausage: Somebody literally said: stop--
Jimmy: Was it a tweet or a comment?
Sausage: It was a comment on one of my videos because--!
Jimmy: Someone commented to Sausage, chat, saying...
Sausage: (giggles)
Jimmy: Saying Sausage’s whole thing was cultural... what was the word?
Sausage: Cultural appropriation! (fumbles) O-of my own people! They were like... “Stop speaking Spanish and putting Latin music in your videos! You’re appro-pria-zing... some other culture!” I was like what’s wrong with you, people?
Jimmy: It-- The-- the guy’s Cuban!
Sausage: That made me mad but...
Jimmy: He can-- he--
Sausage: I’m Cuban! ¡Yo soy latino! I didn’t just learn Spanish yesterday like Jimmy did!
Jimmy: It-- True! I just word-- learned the word “chorizo”!
u know as someone who made fun of mcyt fans before i got into it i think the wildest part is when you realise that this is literally how the creators want us to interact with their content. like from an outside perspective you heard someone is drawing art and writing fics about minecraft players and u think 'oh god that must be SO cringe for the people its about' and then you actually get into it and realise they're constantly retweeting art and reacting to theories and whatever gay content people are writing into their fics is chump change compared to the stuff mythicalsasuage will proudly say live on youtube.
Every so often I'm reminded of how many people don't realize just how high the bar is for indie titles to actually make enough money or gain enough recognition to be sustainable.
Like someone will say "I think it's great that mildly successful indie titles exist that no one has heard of before, such as [multi-award winning indie game that was incredibly financially successful that has had coverage by multiple major news outlets]! It's so nice small indies exist" :)
can of wormholes openly takes massive influence from stephen's sausage roll, like they're both sokoban-likes that add new rules over time by exploring obscure consequences of things you have access to from the beginning, but they also both have this incredible tone with their stories that i find captivating. stephen's sausage roll has a crass twist that isn't presented like a twist because you arrive at the story far after the point where the gross elements became not only normal but ceremonial. can of wormholes has you play as this species of parasites (?) that inhabit dead worm bodies and chop up & eat the ones they're not inhabiting in order to solve puzzles, but the story is from their point of view, and all they care about is reviving all the ships and navigating everyone out of the void. the gross elements are completely and resolutely mundane. i think this is something you can only do with games, like can of wormholes has the (assumedly) human player arrive in the middle of this story and play as this unknowable alien worm species without knowing what the fuck they are or how they work, but you just adapt & become them anyways.
I had this image of goblin fWhip just climbing Sausage like he's some sort of tree whenever around hermits to establish dominance or something and Sausage just not acknowledging it beyond stopping whatever he's doing.
Like he's stocking the wood shop and talking to Pearl or Keralis or whomever and suddenly fWhip is there climbing him before even saying his greetings.
Or Sausage comes up onf fWhip talking to like Grian and Scar and and fWhip stops mid sentence to climb Sausage before carrying on like nothing just happened.
Or just Sausage generally exisitng around Sanctuary but there's a fWhip on his one shoulder and Hermes on other and all he does about it interrupt fWhip trying to teach the kid how to make explosives.
I'm gonna be honest idk if hbomb is going to be in hermitcraft but I DO want him to have a special hbomb pass where he can join the server and hang out. It is always a joy to watch him interact with the hermits and I think he's neat.
