Catwoman⁠ This is a more recent painting, studying color and light. I was inspired by Tsuaii, who has a unique way of painting with ambient occlusion. Ambient occlusion is contact shadows from your model or objects. So you paint a layer in Photoshop for AO on multiply. Below that are the flat colors. Above everything are separate adjustment layers for key light, bounce light and edge lighting (reflected light). It's a rather tedious way of painting, but it is very technique-oriented. My Ao layer was more of an under painting, so I probably didn't do it correctly. Pink Fairy⁠ This is an older painting. I was trying to create a portfolio of fairy artwork for greeting cards. Unfortunately, that never materialized. My husband thought it would be interesting to position her eyes in the mirror away from the normal reflection.
