saw someone on instagram point out that all the suspected endgame couples are unconventional love stories for the time period.
joyce and hopper are divorcee's.
max and lucas are in an interracial relationship.
robin and vickie are sapphics.
jonathan and nancy depict the woman taking the lead in the relationship while the man supports her.
it would make so much sense if the final endgame couple would be mike and will.

i really hope stranger things doesnt mince any words or downplay anything when showcasing its queer stories next season. like i want robin and vickie to kiss on the mouth, i want will to tell mike he is IN LOVE with him with those words (or something very close), i want the word gay to be used in confidence, etc etc. i dont want ANY subtlety. let them kiss and be in love and hold hands and express themselves openly and talk about it without dancing around the words.

i just think it's hilarious that we knew jopper will be canon and we treated it as such even before s4 just because we knew Hopper is in love with Joyce and there were "hints" it's reciprocated,
the same with rovickie, we treat it as canon just because we know Robin likes Vickie and there are "hints" it's reciprocated even tho they barely talked and Vickie had a boyfriend
and yet still we need to write essays about how byler could be endgame
like ..... it's funny.... it's stupid......why do we need to analyze shit with byler when we didn't need to analyze anything with the other ships😭

After her character got all the unnecessary hate this year, in season 5 Vickie deserves to come in and fuck shit up while somehow keeping her sunshine demeanor. Imagine that sweet, dimpled grin as she fucking slays a demogorgon. Robin, meanwhile, is just like: 😍

Happy bisexual visibility day!!! 🩷💜💙
I wanted to do a post about my favourite bisexual icon a.k.a. Vickie! She's a queen and she deserves soooo much love
She
Is
The
Prettiest
Ever!
A goddess honestly
I hope she's enjoying her bisexual🤝🏻lesbian life with Robin. I need to see them be the cutest little sapphics next season AND get to know Vickie a lot more because I have a million headcanons about her and I'd love to see if I actually "got some of them right"!
I hope you all had an amazing day, and you're valid no matter what your sexuality is! :D 💓🤍💓

I swear to god if those leaks about Robin becoming close friends with Jonathan and being overly protective of Vickie aren’t true I will fucking find whoever lied about it, you have no idea how serious this is for me I need this to be real.

i asked my friend who doesn't believe that byler will be endgame, "why would byler not be endgame?"
and she said, "because mike has a girlfriend."
which is a fair argument. but then there's: "why would rovickie not be endgame?" "because vickie has a boyfriend."
then you would argue that vickie and her boyfriend are not on good terms, while milkvan is at it's peak, like, totally. even though they didn't speak after the so called love confession.
so yeah, totally reasonable. milkvan forever.

Is Rovickie foreshadowing the outcome of Byler? - a theory
Aside from the obvious parallels where the queer love interest is framed in between the straight couple in a way that makes the audience empathize with them, I just want to underline some other things.
If we think about rovickie in S4 it appears clear that it has the same premises as byler but with secondary characters and without the perspective of the current partner. And because it’s made up of secondary characters it is going to have less build up and a quicker resolution, so at the end of S4 rovickie is already a few steps ahead of byler. Because of this, and because we don’t have Vickie’s bf perspective (we definitely don’t care about him like we care about El) it’s easier to see that Vickie and Robin are endgame despite that in order to happen Vickie would need to (1) break up with her bf, (2) be queer and (3) reciprocate Robin’s feeling. Which is the same thing Mike would need to do. And yet rovickie is basically guaranteed but byler is apparently unreasonable. (Also, to me S4 already hints that the Vickie route it’s also where Mike’s storyline is heading).
Byler antis say that Mike and Will getting together would “come out of nowhere” while having no problem in accepting rovickie is most likely an endgame couple. Yet Robin has interacted with Vickie only a few times in the show (and all in one season), in contrast with a 5-seasons-long bond which both parts acknowledge is different from any other friendship they have… This simply shows how biased people are when they think that a long-time established platonic pairing can’t become romantic if it’s queer and it’s between two main characters.
Shipping rovickie but denying the possibility of byler to me reads as “queer people can have their endgame couple but only if it involves secondary characters”.
One canon lgbtq+ couple should not be considered already enough to satisfy the queer audience and tick the representation box. Queer love deserves to be also at the forefront of tv shows and if a part of the ga is too “uncomfortable” with the idea it means that it is even more needed.
