So, if this strip looks a SMIDGE different, that's because it's drawn traditionally with ink on paper. This year, I attended the annual C2E2 comic convention in Chicago for the first time, setting up at the National Cartoonists Society booth. I had a GREAT time, and decided that, while I was there, I was going to draw new strips ABOUT the experience AT the show. So, this and the next 4 strips after were all drawn on paper AT the convention, ABOUT the convention. (Okay, the last was drawn the day AFTER to wrap it up, but in the same style for consistency.) For the artists out there curious, I inked these with a Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen.

Memories to keep💗

We used to live far from my school when I was in elementary . My sisters and I always arrive late, and Sometimes we arrive when it is already time for recess because we need to walk many kilometers away or we use shortcuts along the riverside. My sister had a whole day of class at that time, while I only had a half day.We didn't have motorcycles at the time, and our way was still roughroad. My father picked me up in the afternoon, and we used to ride our horse.

Even though we are poor, my parents strive hard to sustain our education and needs. They always wanted what was best for us. They also support me in what I love to do. When I was in grade 3, I joined the Balayong Band Members as one of the lyrists at that time. Because I think that is the only instrument I am good at. Joining a band at that time encouraged me to develop relationships with new kinds of people and interact with other kids. And at that time, I met the most kind people, who became my best friends.

So, I know that all of you already know what LYRE is. The lyre section makes up the majority of the band. They play the melodic parts. A member of the band that consists of this section is called a lyricist.We perform during fiestas or any celebrations or programs in our school. We parade down the streets, and all of the students follow us.

It is such a great memories back then. Until I graduated Elementary and continue to be a lyrist during my high school. I am one of the members of ISMHS Band. I know it is tiring, but at least I experienced it, enjoyed it, and had a lot of fun.

And I believed that there are things that we never want to let go of. But keep in mind that letting go isn’t the end of the world; it’s the beginning of a new life. And new life for me is it is time to get serious about my career and study thoroughly for a brighter future.

It was rare that Karen and Frank spent any time out in public together: most of the city was aware of who Karen Page was because of her association with Nelson & Murdock, Daredevil, and Punisher, and of course the world over knew who Frank Castle was. Spending time in New York together was not wise, but here...far away from New York City, away from the blood-soaked streets that they called home, they could enjoy a quiet evening out. They could enjoy a drink at a local bar and to watch the grainy footage of Times Square as people congregated to count down to the New Year.

When the clock struck midnight, Karen had turned to see Frank locked in a kiss with another woman, his hands frozen at her sides, not touching but hovering, and as she pulled away and slapped him on the ass in parting blue eyes narrowed, watching the woman’s friends drag her away. Her jaw ticked once, tight with frustration, and Karen downed the little plastic flute of champagne she had before moving over to the bar.

What the hell was wrong with her? Why was she feeling like...like this? (Jealousy, Karen. It’s jealousy.)

Frank was at her side, but Karen was ordering a double whiskey on the rocks and when she told him to leave her alone, it seemed he realized what she refused to acknowledge. 

Wait, are you jealous?

His words burned her ears and Karen looked away from him, lips pressed into a tight line. “No.”
