I always follow the same sort of process when dressing any of my dragons, I can try and talk you through it if it's any help ^^

Here's my newest gal I grabbed just this week, and the first thing I start with is trying to decide what kind of theme I want to go for and then trying to find an apparel set to match - I decided I wanted her to be a brewer

I liked the Copper Steampunk here because it gave me vibes of all those large metal tanks and pipes you get in modern breweries

Step 2 is finding a second apparel set with similar textures and colours and theme, and blending the two together

I ended up grabbing the NotN rogue set here, because I like the little vials and bottles everywhere, that help lean into my brewing theme more

Step 3 is adding some special accent pieces that work with the 2 apparel sets you've blended together

I've added the green Plague cloak thing here, because it had more bottles/vials, and the bones on it match the bones from the NotN set - I also added one of the brand new tankard's from the new achievement shop, because that fit very well too ^^

My dragons end up very cluttered/overdressed because that's how I like dressing them, and I know that's not everyone's thing, so this is only one way to dress dragons, but I hope some of it was helpful to you! Thank you again for the ask! <3

The Birdcatchers, my fantasy high oc party! they’re currently level 12 juniors like the bad kids :D

(called the birdcatchers cause due to some shenaniganery and japes they spent their first day meeting each other while chasing after a flock of birds that had stolen their possessions)

OUR CAST:

Malory Clara Dorothy Eleanor Mildmay, (she/her), Warforged Storm Sorcerer. Basically an Enid Blyton/post-WW2 English boarding school girl dropped into an 80s American high school setting and is having a Bad Time. she is excessively polite, uses honourifics copiously, is deeply nervous and a very good liar. doesn’t talk much about her family.

Zeke Ambercrown, (he/him), Way of the Drunken Master Monk Satyr. very lithe jock kid, plays bloodrush, a lot smarter than he lets on. learnt the monk technique from his family, who love him dearly. lives at the Ambercrown brewery and enjoys experimenting with different fermenting processes to make new drinks - loves chemistry, but is willing to play the ‘dumb jock’ so he can be underestimated. following the events of their freshman year, zeke opened up the older, disused secondary brewery and worked to transform it into a place for everyone to live, work, and be safe.

Trib Ferrier, (they/them), Oath of Vengeance Goblin Paladin. very serious, and comes from a long line of Jesters. considered a disappointment to their lineage, they have instead taken on a blood oath against a rival house of dreaded Mimes to redeem themself in the eye of their family. picture the smallest goblin possible with Hugemassive eyes, the aura of a depressed businessman, and the attire of a court jester. bells and all.

Talaria (Tally) Beira, (she/her), College of Whispers High Elf Bard. tally is a prankster and a bit of a shithead, plays the bass as her channeling tool for her magic (resents being compared to Fig, as in Tally’s eyes she’s been playing the bass way longer than Fig). badly split-dyed hair, jean jacket, and missing half of one ear, she loves nothing more than planning out a good prank. despite this, she’s a terrible coward and is loathe to face consequences for her actions. she hates this part of herself but doesn’t know how to change it. but hey funny water bucket on door sick bass riff right!! haha that’s funny right!! right?

Orfeo Ravocrath, (he/him), Grave Cleric/Phantom Rogue White Dragonborn. despite being a six and a half foot tall white dragonborn wearing a black cowboy hat, orfeo is pretty hard to spot. when he wants to be seen, though, he’s seen - he’s got that southern charm, chill personality, and is also a perfect priest of death, and also seems to be the most popular of the birdcatchers. he’s a little bemused by this, as all he really wants is to go with the flow and doesn’t much care about popularity (which infuriates some of his party members to no end). rumour goes, though, that he’s not actually a cowboy - just a theatre kid who’s really, really method.

Rose Orry, (she/her), Ancestral Guardians Barbarian Tiefling. rose comes from a prestigious house of fashion designers, and she’s never seen without her signature sunglasses. she’s a classic mean bitch, vain about her appearance and prideful about her fashion designing talents, and the most annoying thing about her is that she’s actually really fucking good. beneath that bubblegum-pink, knife-sharp exterior, though, seems to be a normal high school student, forced to grow up too soon and terrified of never finding her true love.

well, thought I would introduce my (hopefully) not stereotypical little guy - he is a 14 year old ace tiefling arcane trickster rogue/bloodhunter who is just a little guy, you know. He is very curious, which often gets him in some interesting positions (such as making a pact with a nice girlboss demon lady hence the bloodhunter multiclass) and his post-adventuring dream is to have a traveling rare books library on a demi-planar wagon (which is also a brewery).

1 All Loving Hero

Nazario Fiore (formerly Drago) really is the Arthurian ideal of knighthood. He's perfect. Even his enemies admire his abilities - and not just physically, but his capability to do the right thing no matter the personal cost. It's why he finds himself now married to the daughter of a Kenton by-blow, believing it is his duty to continue to support the family. And when a member of that family needed help with her brewery and an heir... Nazario complied.

He's even found it in himself to forgive the actions of Arndt Blumenthal, even though those actions arguably ruined Nazario's life. Not only was he prevented from going down with his king, but in the end he was stripped of his knighthood. A normal man would be furious, but Nazario buts little faith in things like titles. He knows who he is, even if that person is a stranger to him at the moment.

After all - she was trained for years as the Crown Princess, a title given to her with the expectation she would lead, would rule.

And now there's Isidor who has taken everything by virtue of his birth.

She's too good of heart to resent him for it, but nor can Salome find it in herself to stop pretending. It's going to hurt her some day.

I can't do Garrett again. BUT. I can do the original troublemaking teen: Connor Dawn. Raised by priests even at an early age he had no intention of joining a holy order. He sowed mischief where he could, even corrupted the son of a duke! And then, just like mist, he fled the area for exploits overseas.

No one is really sure what he did while he was away, or why he's returned, but this criminal mastermind plans on keeping that information close to the chest.

39 Manic Pixie Dream Girl

Okay, technically I shouldn't be picking a lesbian for this one, but out of all my teen girls Katinka Blumenthal has the most love interests so here we are.

A lot of people see her status first, how can they not? Secondborn princess to a new dynasty of rulers... impossible to ignore. But Katinka is naturally charming, with the sort of winning manner that makes everyone around her feel welcomed - and warmly. Even when they are not.

It has caused some problems, minor for now, because Katinka flits through favorites like the butterfly she is, with no real understanding of how she makes people feel. If she did know, she admittedly probably wouldn't care, being a bit mean-spirited and a snob.

Where is a vacation place your mc or li really would like to go to and what is the favorite one they have been to?

Hey there Anon! This is a lovely question!

Nora: I'd say for Nora, it's kind of hard to answer because she isn't a huge vacation person per se. She likes her bubble in New York, she isn't really ambitious or itching to get out anytime soon, but if I had to pick a place for her, it would probably be a toss-up between Indonesia and France. In college, she wasn't exactly a 'rogue partier' but liked the night-life for what it is - cheap beer, heavy music and terrible dancing. She kind of enjoys the nightlife Lyon or Paris has to offer and the really good food and night markets in Jakarta and Padang.

Apart from that, back in America, she'd love to take one of those long road trips across the country; maybe from New York to San Francisco, maybe hit up Vegas (jk jk, but she'd totally want to do that, even though she's like a retired grandma of a person salvaging a lost teenage-hood).

As for Nora's favourite place, she hadn't travelled much out of the continent apart from taking this incredibly long road trip to Montreal in Canada for Uncle Tommy to meet up with a friend he knew, who was also a manager at this brewery (to get some advice on opening up his own shop). Nora was like, fourteen and since Tommy couldn't leave her alone at home, he dragged her along. The city was nice and memorable, but she liked the road trip better.

Trystan: Trystan's been to like a bazillion places. I HC he'd have had not enough time to explore on his own since he'd be whisked away on diplomatic visits or as props for Maksim or Viktoria to make some political case. I'd say he wants to backpack around backpack-worthy places, if that makes sense? Like mountain trails and stuff with nature around, because he's sick of living all his life in concrete jungles.

The parks in Western Canada, Trolltunga in Norway and the hiking trails in New Zealand are some of the things he'd like to go to, but then again, he enjoys most of his vacations unplanned and spontaneous - just go on as they go.

As for Trystan's favourite place, it would definitely be Brno in Czech Republic. He went there as a student, going through boarding school in his early 20s, before his engagement to Juliana and he absolutely loved it - from being exposed to the music and architecture and the fact he made a couple of decent friends in his time there.

Finished my board and did my 1/8 effort as part of the Otherworldly Arts Crew along with the Rogue Citizens group at Modist Brewing.

This event was an experiment for our sales website. With 77 unique boards, we made 77 QR-code artist labels sending interested buyers to 77 online shop entries. NOW! We don’t have to be there at the brewery to make sales. The art has 22 days to sell versus 2.

The instant we were certain they system worked, we all got blotto on beer and THC drinks.

Great event. Will be up till the end of August.

December, 1994

The year… was going poorly.

After losing her owl of ten years, Vangar, to a rogue muggle “bullet” in April, only a couple months after The Incident, she had then been unceremoniously booted from her job at the beginning of June.

She still wasn’t sure why, all these months later.

She hopped around the continent for the last few months, staying with her old dorm mates. She and Ellie had crashed together in France and Germany, before hopping over to Denmark and Annika.

She had forgotten how much fun Annika could be.

After that, Spain, and trying not to burn herself to a crisp, while out exploring with Jasmine. There had been plenty of laughter between them, reminding her of the adventures they shared at Hogwarts.

Somehow, she made it to London before The Result arrived, squalling into the world. She would’ve preferred Skalafell, but was terrified of how her family, and the village at large, would react.

She buried her face further into the pile of furs currently on top of her. All she could remember about the party, at least, the last things she could remember was trying to fend off a co-worker who seemed far more interested in her than she was in him.

After that, nothing.

So here she was, in one of the village longboats, clutching baby Kaia, and racing over the choppy North Sea, into Skalafell four days before Yule.

It wasn’t any closer than when she’d returned from Hogwarts, but whether it was from the pain still radiating from her body or a deep sense of guilt, she had no idea how anyone would react.

Olaf Henderson, one of the Vikings who acted as Harbour Master and a good friend of her father’s, was at the helm of said longboat. He was also respecting her wish for silence, though by the glances she caught, there would be plenty of questions waiting for her.

A thought struck her, and she patted her bag. She hoped that she had her bow and arrows. Ellie’s owl, Hoots, was possibly winging his way north if they weren’t. If she did, that was a perfect escape from all the stares and scowling faces.

Who was she kidding? Her parents hadn’t wanted her to take a job in London. They’d never leave her alone.

Another thought hit her as they got closer. Kaari Arcano was no doubt going to be hanging around the village, if not around the brewery, when they docked. Unless he happened to be at the Flossen Dragon Reserve instead.

That was her preferred option. She was in no mood to deal with the charming dragon wrangler. Part of her wished Ellie was here to try that charm from fourth year again. But she also remembered the equally charming worm of a dragon that he’d happily fly in the middle of a snowstorm anyways.

As they got closer, she caught sight of the massive copper bowls of the giant torches flanking the entry to Skalafell harbour, poking through the fog that tended to hang around the entrance.

“We’re almost there, lassie,” came Olaf’s deep voice through her thoughts. “Another half-hour and we should be docking. How’s the wee lass doin’?”

“Happy,” she replied, forgetting her own wish for silence. “She seems to be enjoying this.” Olaf gave an awkward sort of nod, and an uncomfortable silence descended on the boat.

They edged their way into the fjord, and she huddled further, if possible, into the furs. She could almost feel the bows poised to loosen, as Olaf raised the family flags of Larson and Henderson alongside the one for the village. This would be the moment of truth…

Pulling baby Kaia closer, and shifting the furs enough to further deaden the shouting, she braced for the arrival call that typically preceded docking. She was not disappointed, though she missed most of it by ducking into the furs.She shivered some as they reached the docks, belatedly realising that warmer clothes were needed. No doubt her parents still had her things… she hoped.

Emerging from the furs, and promptly pulling one around her and Kaia, she disembarked and took in the sight of the village she hadn’t seen in almost four years.

It hadn’t changed much in that time. There might be a few unfamiliar faces mixed among the, now slightly older, familiar ones. The Yule goat ever so slightly different…

The thunk of barrels and crates being unloaded brought her from her thoughts. No one seemed to notice that she was there. She picked up her bag, drew her coat and the fur closer, but waited on the docks until Olaf himself disembarked from the longboat.

“Righ’ then, lassie,” Olaf said, far too cheerfully in her opinion, clapping his hands together. “I’ll walk with yeh to the brewery.”

She nodded absently. No doubt someone from the docks had mentioned she was here, now spreading like wildfire through the village.

August 20th  1872, saw the death of the Scottish “the laureate of the nursery”, William Miller.

Miller served an apprenticeship to a wood-turner, and became a skilled cabinet-maker, a trade which he followed for the rest of his life. He began to write poetry while still a youth, contributing to local newspapers and periodicals; the appearance of ‘Willie Winkie’ and several other nursery poems in the 3rd and 4th series of Whistle-binkie (1839-43) established his reputation.

William Miller wrote Willie Winkie for his son, Stephen.

It has been translated into countless languages and has become the greatest known and one of the best-loved nursery rhymes around the world. Here it isthe full poem in its original Scots tongue;

Wee Willie Winkie Rins through the toun, Up stairs and doun stairs In his nicht-gown, Tirling at the window, Crying at the lock, “Are the weans in their bed, For it’s now ten o’clock?

“Hey, Willie Winkie, Are ye coming ben? The cat’s singing grey thrums To the sleeping hen, The dog’s spelder’d on the floor, And disna gie a cheep, But here’s a waukrife laddie That winna fa’ asleep.”

Onything but sleep, you rogue! Glow’ring like the moon, Rattling in an airn jug Wi’ an airn spoon, Rumblin’, tumblin’, round about, Crawing like a cock, Skirlin’ like a kenna-what, Wauk’nin’ sleeping folk.

“Hey, Willie Winkie – The wean’s in a creel! Wamblin’ aff a body’s knee Like a very eel, Ruggin’ at the cat’s lug, Rav’llin’ a’ her thrums – Hey, Willie Winkie – See, there he comes!”

Wearied is the mither That has a stoorie wean, A wee stumpie stousie, That canna rin his lane. That has a battle aye wi’ sleep, Before he’ll close an e’e – But a kiss frae aff his rosy lips Gies strength anew to me.

His best poems were thus produced before he was thirty-six; he then wrote little until the year before his death. He died in poverty in 1872, and is buried in Tollcross, in a plot that does not bear his name. There is a memorial to Miller in the Glasgow Necropolis, and in 2009 a plaque was placed on the wall of the brewery which now stands on the site of his former home in Dennistoun, another blue plaque marks where Wee Willie Winkie was seen in his night goon!

If you’re ever running through the toun, be it in yer nicht goun or other attire, you’ll find the Wee Willie Winkie blue plaque halfway along the block between the Tron Theatre and Saltmarket in Glesga.
