The Three Courts is a dark, modern, urban fantasy au where the Agarthans won the battle for supremacy in the middle ages. The current era, nearly 800 years later, is a cold technocratic government that cares more for its bottom line than the needs of the people.
The Courts of the Moon, Wind, and Flower are what remain of the Goddess' children, their gifts waning much like their relevance. Old money has kept the Crested safe in modern society. This matters little when a simple house call turns into something far darker.
There are few who know the truth, and everyone holds their own piece of the puzzle. For the first time in centuries, the Courts must come together to protect their legacy. Or choose a new path entirely.
The kids are mostly here in an ensemble cast that I'll need a graph to keep track of. Those that haven't... ya know... 🗡 ahem.
BUT! Big feels! Gruesome battles! Sexy times! Rampant murder! A few fluffy flashbacks. And secrets of course.
I needed a reason for Claude to be there. :)

I returned to Garreg Mach after five years, dusty and saddle-sore and met immediately by Byleth. Everyone around him had changed, grown, wore shadows under their eyes. Myself included. He was the same, a demon with a sword and a man of few words.
Yet now, countless others listened for those words. At long tables, in lecture halls, and on the battlefield.
He was no longer responsible for only himself, or a small classroom. The Resistance Forces followed behind the Crest of Flames.
He was finally here, in my sights, yet further away than ever.

Okay, that was a small lie. There are certainly things to say about Byleth Eisner.
Captain Jeralt is his father, so greatness should run in his son's blood. But the guy barely speaks. He has the presence of a log. And he calls his own dad by his first name! How damn rude can you be? He has a lot of nerve for someone who ran around with a lopsided bowl-cut as a kid.
I just hope we don't bump into each other much over the next year. Thank the Goddess he chose Black Eagles…
A light-hearted FE:3H AU where Leonie did, in fact, know Byleth from childhood and thinks he's the worst. Until she doesn't, of course.

Some within the Courts still carry the torch of tradition, while others work to see its flame gutter out. And those who merely watch events unfold will soon be forced to take a side. Or create something else entirely.
It is Agarthan Year 788 and war returns to Fódlan once again.

it's been. an absolutely TERRIBLE day. earlier while i was resting, there was some sort of ruckus and what do i find? the archives covered in debris, crabs, and panicked travelers talking about a dark dragon coming in! few memory cubes were broken, but i'm not even sure how that thing got through something as fortified as the vault, and specifically the archives. this won't be something pleasant to report to my elder...

Hi I know its been years, but I was going thru your blog and I came across the failure of the wc2018 and I read that you compared the team spirit to the euro 2012. As I said its been years but can you explain me with more details why was the team divided and what players were part of this in the euro 2012? Idk why but I remember loving how the team played until the Italy game where it was notorious that they lacked motivation also what changed from that year to change the spirit for the wc2014?
Hi anon, it really has been years, hasn't it, my brain feels a bit rusty at this point, since, admittedly, I have "logged off" myself for a while now. And, as always, I only ever get back when I'm on vacation and have the opportunity (and energy) to actually collect my thoughts on stuff like this.
Going down memory lane, I do remember having a few posts me and @miasanfamilie have created to explain the whole information, if you're curious, feel free to search for my "mh" tag (and this reply in particular).
To keep the story very, very short - I loved the German NT team of 2010, which got me into football in the first place. Right after the WC 2010, Dortmund had risen to become quite a competitive team, winning the league 2 years in a row in a remarkable fashion. Thus, it was only natural that players would have been called up from that team, especially those that helped winning the U21 EUROs 2009. And basically... It all came down to Bayern and Dortmund players not getting along. Thus the team was split up into basically three groups at this point (Bayern players+sympathizers, Dortmund players+sympathizers, the neutral rest). Those barely interacted and if at all, they took the p*ss out of each other, but pretended to get along - which they obviously didn’t. The main aggressors here, as mentioned in the post above, besides Mats Hummels (this is a great read about it btw), PRESUMABLY were Thomas Müller and Toni Kroos, as they were the most “vocal”, even though we don’t have 100% confirmation on that. Manuel Neuer might have been involved as well. As for others being involved... We can’t tell, as they were probably just “tagging along”, without actively “bashing” one another. (Iiiiif I remember correctly, Marco Reus and André Schürrle tagged along with Götze and Schmelzer, who tagged along with Hummels. I’m not 100% sure who was on the neutral group, but I feel like Julian Draxler might have tagged along with Benedikt Höwedes, who was on somewhat neutral grounds, altogether with Per Mertesacker, Tim Wiese, Ron-Robert Zieler, Miroslav Klose, Lars Bender, Mesut Ozil and Sami Khedira. Podolski probably just did what he wanted. :D)

I feel like the time between 2012 and 2014 had been a wake-up call. I remember that when more players went abroad (f.e. Arsenal Germany), Bayern had regained their winning spirit again and more “diverse” players were called up, the team dynamics changed. I can’t really put my finger on what exactly it was, but the WC qualification matches, while just as bumpy sometimes as the matches today, already felt different. More alive. Happier. The groups had started to mingle again and the bad blood was just... Gone. I assume someone hit the three names mentioned above on the head and told them to pull themselves together. It had worked. Not to play the bias card here, but players like Per, who lived and breathed team spirit, may have had some impact here on the sidelines as well. He himself mentioned he was quite depressed during the EUROs 2012 and had taken this experience for himself to grow stronger. And I can only assume that this applied to other players as well.
It was indeed a lovely transformation and I gotta say, the post 2012 era up to the WC winning in 2014 had been my absolute favourite of eras. It was a lovely team, a lovely dynamic, “villains” had managed to redeem themselves by becoming team players, the more experienced players getting the same opportunities as the youngsters, it was a great mix. And it is what today’s team severely lacks - the team of 2018 had a vileness about it that I cannot really explain. It did feel like 2012 all over again, with a huge divide between experienced and young players this time. It felt like the “WC winners” had not been willing to give up their spots for the “Confed Cup winners”, an experience that the pre 2004 players would have reconized as well. And, sadly enough, I feel like THAT was PROBABLY one of the reasons why two of the three aggressors mentioned above may have been axed after the tournament (while the third one gets hyped to no end, which makes it feel a bit random to me, not gonna lie).
As said, we might never really get to hear what actually happened, there’s a lot of speculation out there.

which two german footballing brothers found incest fic about themselves? what happened then?
It was René Adler but apparently I misremembered, his brother wasn't actually a footballer, which somehow makes it worse.
And what happened was that they told René Adler's agent (he was represented by a company that also represented quite a few others, including some of the most "popular" players on the site like Marco Reus, Mario Götze, Benedikt Höwedes and Toni Kroos) and they sent cease and desist letters for every footballer they represented to fanfiktion.de, the biggest German-language fanfic site.
The site then flagged every story that contained these players and gave authors like two weeks to either rewrite the stories and remove names and identifying details or have the fics deleted and installed a ban for all new stories with them.
But to be fair, fanfiktion.de was SUPER heavily moderated anyway, there was tons of stuff you weren't allowed to publish at all (and I don't just mean stuff like incest, you weren't allowed to publish PWP and for topics like drug use there was a pretty subjectively judged "sensitivity requirement"), stuff that was considered 18+ like stories containing BDSM could only be read by logged in users between the time of 11 PM to 4 AM (so in the middle of the night) or if the user sent their Personalausweis (government ID) number to the site, which you would have had to do every year to rule out that kids stole their parents' ID. They were also super strict with stuff like song lyrics bc of copyright.

I'm back, and a story
So, I think I'm back. As it turns out, the emotional support that this community can provide is really valuable and I kind of need it.
Why did I leave? Well, grad school is a lot of work. And being an adult is a lot of work. Between those two facts and my decision not to use my computer within two hours of bedtime, I just stopped logging in.
And why am I back? No, neither grad school nor adult life has gotten any easier. But I have been seeing a therapist for a few months now, and I have come to realize the extremely high value of social support from other people with chronic illnesses and/or disabilities.
That realization came out of discussing shame with my therapist and talking in particular about the experience of getting my first mobility aid. You could probably reconstruct most of that story from my archives here, but I want to tell that story in its entirety. Because I think it is powerful.
Let's set the scene. I'm 21 years old and in the spring of my junior year at University. I've had chronic pain of some sort or another since the age of 17. The pain first appeared in my wrists, slowly spread throughout my arms and shoulders, then to my neck and back. At this point (age 21) I have had some pain in my feet, ankles, and knees for honestly about a year, but I am in denial about this. Even as I start taking the campus shuttle more and more instead of walking to class, I resist admitting that the pain has in fact spread to my lower body.
I'm considering what to do for the summer, and, because of some discussion that had been had about more intense medical treatment over the summer (which ultimately didn't happen) I have not applied for summer programs like REUs or internships. My research mentor (a professor in the math department) is happy to have me continue working with him over the summer on ongoing projects, and I have a lease for an apartment near campus. So, I make the decision to stay on campus for the summer and work on research.
So, when I am contacted by a representative from my high school to say that they are running an outreach program for high schoolers on campus for a week during the summer and are looking for RAs to supervise the students, I'm excited. I get even more excited about the opportunity when I learn that one of my good friends from high school will be the other female RA.
And then I pause. One of the requirements of the job is to escort the students to various classes and activities around campus. This means walking. And walking has become painful.
The emotional side of my brain, still not wanting to admit that my pain has in fact spread and that I might really benefit from a mobility aid, comes to the conclusion that, well, I guess I just won't take the job then. It is at this point that the logical side of my brain interjects: "Really, you're going to not take this job because it involves walking? When our society actually has a whole range of tools that help people with the task of walking? And you haven't even looked at those tools?" And so the hunt for a mobility aid began.
But the search was not without inner strife. I felt what I now recognize as deep shame when even considering using any type of mobility aid. Society had conditioned me to believe that these tools were reserved for older people and people whose doctors told them they needed one. I thought that using a mobility aid was somehow cheating or taking something that I did not deserve.
And this, as you may well have guessed, is where tumblr comes in. In particular, the spoonie community on tumblr. At this point, I had been posting and reading posts and discussions from this community for about a year. I had seen and read enough to know that lots of young people with chronic illnesses (including without a diagnosis) used canes and other mobility aids. I don't recall ever asking "is it okay for me to use a cane?" But I did read lots of responses given to people who did ask variants of that question. The community treated these people with kindness and compassion and reassured them that their needs, whatever they were, were legitimate.
You spoke about how the choice to use a mobility aid belongs to no one but the person using it. You affirmed that we all should make choices that help us live our best lives, minimizing pain, maximizing function and happiness. And, perhaps most importantly, you shared your own stories about the shame, embarrassment, or awkwardness that came with getting your first mobility aid. You showed me, through your stories, that I am not alone. You showed me that my experiences, my emotions, were not an aberration but the norm in the relevant community.
I won't pretend that that made it easy. It still required a leap of faith and a choice to defy shame. I still hesitated to add my first collapsible cane to my Amazon shopping cart. I still struggled to discuss my new walking poles with my parents. But I did it. And then I hesitated to go out in public, to show up in my classes with a cane or to walk down the street with my poles. But I did those things too. And it did get easier.
And I took that job. And I walked those students around campus with a pair of walking sticks decorated with patterned duct tape and beaded tassels.
Since then, I have continued exploring the world of mobility aids to meet my varying needs at different times and in different contexts. I now own one collapsible cane, two non-collapsible offset canes, a pair of walking/trekking poles, a rolling walker, a pair of Smart Crutches, and a Walk Aid scooter. And I use them all, in different situations and according to my varying needs.
I won't pretend that my shame is totally gone. There are still times when I feel ashamed of my mobility aids or awkward about using them in public. There are still times when I struggle to assert my needs as a disabled person. In short, I still have work to do. But I've come a long way, and this community is a major reason why I have been able to do that. Thank you.

„Warum hast du Alex, so hieß sie doch, nicht mitgebracht?“ - „Alexa und sie hatte leider keine Zeit“ log ich wieder einmal, wie schon bei meinem, angeblichen, Lieblings Wein und hatte kein schlechtes Gewissen dabei. „Schade aber erzähl mal. Wie geht es dir so in Dortmund? Ich lese hin und wieder etwas in der Zeitung, aber sonst bin ich gar nicht mehr so in dem Geschäft tätig. Du weißt ja, ich mach in Versicherungen und Aktien“- „ja, ich erinnere mich“- „na du würdest dich sicher besser erinnern können, wenn wir mehr Kontakt hätten“ er lachte wieder kehlig auf und schlug mir erneut auf den Rücken. Ich hasse das, lächelte aber einfach nur dümmlich. Ich wollte ja nett sein, immerhin hatte er heute Geburtstag und er war mein Zufluchtsort. Vielleicht hätte ich aber doch lieber in einer Kirche um Asyl Fragen sollen? Mein eigener Witz munterte mich auf und Ricardo glaubte wohl, ich hätte über seinen unwitzigen Witz gelacht. Nun fiel mir auch wieder ein was ich an ihm am wenigsten mochte. Es war sein Humor. „Hier hast du ein Bier, oder willst du lieber einen Wein?“ er wackelte mit seinen Augenbrauen, was ihn so wirken ließ wie sein Humor. Schrecklich!
Ich war erstaunt, als ich auf meine Uhr schaute und feststellen musste, dass ich tatsächlich schon mehr als eine Stunde auf dieser Party verbracht hatte. Irgendwie musste das grandiose Buffet daran schuld gewesen sein, denn die Tische bogen sich förmlich unter all den spanischen und kubanischen Köstlichkeiten. Der Grund, warum ich schon wieder um die Leckereien schlich und mir neue Tapas aussuchte, dabei war ich echt dankbar, dass Ricardos Frau aus Spanien kam und mir zwischen durch direkt etwas Kleines in den Mund schob. „Na Reus, schmeckt´s?“ Die Stimme kam mir bekannt vor und ich hatte sie auch schon ewig nicht mehr gehört, aber es war eine Stimme, die mich aufrichtig erfreute. „Das gibt’s nicht! Fisch!? Was suchst du denn hier?“- „ey Marco, altes Haus. Du glaubst nicht, ich war komplett von den Socken, als ich die Einladung von Ricardo im Kasten hatte. Ich habe direkt meiner Frau gesagt, das darf ich mir nicht entgehen lassen. Hab sie und meine kleine Prinzessin auch mitgebracht. Schau, da drüben steht sie“ ich sah in die angegebene Richtung, die mir Kevin Großkreutz zeigte und schon winkte ich artig Caro und der kleinen, die auf ihrem Arm saß, zu. „Ist ja schon fast wie ein Klassentreffen“ lachte Kevin und stieß mich leicht mit seinem Ellenbogen an. „Ein Klassentreffen mit 3 ist aber eine sehr kleine Klasse“ - „ist sonst keiner da von damals?“ - „nope, hab keinen gesehen und bin schon eine Stunde da“ - „oh, das ist jetzt aber schade. Ehrlich gesagt, bin ich nur deswegen gekommen. Ich hatte Hoffnung ein paar von den alten Nasen wieder zu treffen. Pech gehabt“ - „du könntest ja auch mal wieder was mit mir machen?“ - „Du klingst als würdest du betteln. Reus das steht dir nicht“ ich stimmte in sein Lachen mit ein, denn im Gegensatz zu Ricardos Lachen steckte mich das von Kevin an. „Aber ich kann dich verstehen“ er sah verträumt in die Ferne „unsere Partys waren immer legendär. Gerade nach gewonnen Spielen. Man was haben wir gerissen“ - „ok ich bettle und du klingst wie dein eigener Opa. Was geht?“ - „Ich bin Vater“ mehr sagte er nicht und nahm einen großen Schluck von seinem Bier. „Sie ist aber echt zuckersüß“ stellte ich ebenso nüchtern fest und sah länger als beabsichtig zu Caro und Leonie rüber. „Du hast doch die, die Alex oder nicht? Seit doch jetzt auch schon lang genug zusammen. Da müsste doch auch langsam was laufen, so mit Ringe und Windeln wechseln“ nun war ich es, der aber sein Bierglas in einem Zug leerte. „Das dauert noch und sie heißt Alexa“ - „oh, sorry. Dennoch. Ich bleib dabei. Kinder geben einem so viel und Caro dürfte mich auch nimmer verlassen. Die zwei sind einfach alles was mir noch im Leben fehlte“ schwärmte nun Kevin in die Richtung seiner Traumfrau und irgendwie bekam ich ungewollt ein leichtes Würgen im Hals. Das war mir einfach zu viel Schmalz. Obwohl ich weder über Alexa nachdenken wollte, noch über ihre Pläne, blieb es jetzt nicht mehr aus, nur diesen einen Gedanken zu haben. Hochzeit und Kinder. Das absolute Ende von jedem guten Junggesellen. Vielleicht hätte ich einfach Single bleiben sollen. Es war eine Überlegung wert, wobei mich Kevin nicht lang in diesen Gedanken ließ und ich kurz um auch schon klein Leonie auf meinen Armen hatte. Sie war wirklich ein hübsches Mäuschen und ich war erstaunt, dass Fisch so etwas zu Stande gebracht hatte. Lag aber sicher hauptsächlich an der Mutter.
Irgendwann hatte sich die kleine Familie wieder aus meinem Sichtfeld geschoben und ich konnte mich wieder den Leckereien widmen. Ich dachte an die Pommes und Cola. Versuchte irgendwie dafür die Kalorien zu zählen und gab schmunzelnd auf. Die Feigen mit dem Speck waren echt lecker. Die waren ganz sicher in Knoblauch ausgebacken worden. Lecker, einfach nur lecker. Gerade schob ich mir noch so einen kleinen köstlichen Knubbel in den Mund, als mein Handy sich meldete. WhatsApp. Mit spitzen Fingern zog ich mein Telefon aus meiner Hosentasche und wischte umständlich über das Display. Direkt wurde mir angezeigt, dass mir meine Freundin was geschrieben hatte. Ich rollte mit den Augen und schob das Handy wieder in meine Tasche. Für ein genaueres nachschauen brauchte ich eine freie Hand und ich hatte immer noch einen Teller und Bier in den Fingern. Als hätte Alexa meine Gedanken gelesen, kam eine neue Nachricht rein. Klar konnte ich mir nicht sicher sein, dass diese von ihr war, doch ich wusste es einfach. Dann klingelte es. Genervt stellte ich dann doch das Glas und den Teller ab und zog wieder das Handy aus der Tasche. Sie war es wirklich und da sie nicht aufgab, drückte ich sie weg. Ich wollte einfach nicht mit ihr reden. Immerhin hatte ich ihr geschrieben, dass ich zu einem Geburtstag sei und sie sich keine Sorgen machen brauchte, was wollte sie also von mir?

Vänskap mellan Robert Lewandowski och tidigare lagkamraten Marco Reus
Varje liga har sin egen derbystrid. Till exempel är Premier League Manchester City vs. Manchester United, La Liga är Real Madrid vs. FC Barcelona, Serie A är AC Milan vs. Inter Milan, Ligue 1 är Paris Saint-Germain vs. Olympique de Marseille, och Bundesliga är FC Bayern München mot Borussia Dortmund. Även om lagspelet som representeras av de röda och gula billiga fotbollströjor är över, bevisar kramen av Robert Lewandowski och Marco Reus deras vänskap.
Endast en minoritet av professionella idrottare i fotboll spelar för endast ett lag under sin karriär, och fler spelare kommer att byta ut flera lag i sina karriärer. FC Bayern Münchens Robert Lewandowski är uppenbarligen den sistnämnde. Han lämnade en gång Borussia Dortmund och var avsedd att bli motståndare i Bundesliga med sin tidigare lagkamrat Marco Reus. Även om Robert Lewandowski och Marco Reus spelade motståndare i Derbyt, är deras vänskap utanför planen fortfarande mycket bra. Det är som årets UEFA fotbolls-EM där Frankrikes fotbollslandslag spelade mot Portugals fotbollslandslag. Karim Benzema och Cristiano Ronaldo tittade på varandra och log. Hunting For NDBs In CLE244
This coming weekend will see another monthly CLE challenge. This time the hunting grounds will be split: 260.0 - 269.9 kHz and 440-1740kHz.
For those unfamiliar with this monthly activity, a 'CLE' is a 'Co-ordinated Listening Event', as NDB DXers around the world focus their listening time on one small slice of the NDB spectrum.
If you've been meaning to participate in CLE, then maybe this weekend is a fine time to try! Lately, we've had a lot of first time submissions so you won't be alone!
As well, if you're trying to learn CW, copying NDBs is perfect practice as the identifier speed is generally slow and the letters are repeated again every few seconds!
A nice challenge in this one is to hear VR - 266 kHz. 'VR' is the outer marker for the '26s' at Vancouver International (CYVR) and is located in Richmond, BC.
'VR' runs 50W into a closed triangular loop but is well-heard throughout North America having been reported as far as North Carolina to the east and Hawaii to the west.. Listen for its upper-sideband CW identifier (with your receiver in the CW mode) on 266.404 kHz.
At this time of the season, summer lightning storms may provide additional listening challenges but maybe we will get lucky. Propagation can often be as good as mid-winter if the lightning cooperates.
When tuning for NDBs, put your receiver in the CW mode and listen for the NDB's CW identifier, repeated every few seconds. Listen for U.S. NDB identifiers approximately 1 kHz higher or lower than the published transmitted frequency since these beacons are modulated with a 1020 Hz tone approximately.
For example, 'AA' near Fargo, ND, transmits on 365 kHz and its upper sideband CW identifier is tuned at 366.025 kHz while its lower sideband CW ident can be tuned at 363.946 kHz. Its USB tone is actually 1025 Hz while its LSB tone is 1054 Hz.
Often, one sideband will be much stronger than the other so if you don't hear the first one, try listening on the other sideband.
Canadian NDBs normally have an USB tone only, usually very close to 400 Hz. They also have a long dash (keydown) following the CW identifier.
All NDBs heard in North America will be listed in the RNA database (updated daily) while those heard in Europe may be found in the REU database. Beacons heard outside of these regions will be found in the RWW database.

Days: Friday 24 May - Monday 27 May
Times: Start and end at midday, your local time
Targets: Normal NDBs (not NAVTEX or *amateur beacons)
QRG: 260.0 - 269.9 kHz
plus: 440.0 - 1740.0 kHz
These are interesting frequencies for most of us, with some quiet
wide-open spaces. We last used them for CLE228 in January 2018.
Most of us should be able to hear some NDBs in both ranges, though
Europe only has a handful in the '260s'. From 440 kHz onwards, North
America has a few, mostly around 510-530 kHz, but listeners in Eastern
Europe have a BONANZA – probably over 400 active NDBs in Russia
(RUS + RSE) alone, though for most of us in Western Europe many of
them are hiding among Europe's Medium Wave Broadcast Stations.
*(There used to be amateur beacons using CW on frequencies mainly
around 474 - 478 kHz. Over the years they have been moving to use
other frequencies and modes. Last time we only heard three and only
in Europe. So we’ll no longer be listening for Amateur signals in this
CLE's frequency range)
Please send your CLE log to NDB List, if possible as a plain text email
and not in an attachment, with 'CLE244 FINAL' at the start of its title.
Show on EVERY line of your log:
# The Date e.g. '2019-05-25', etc. (or just '26')
# UTC (the day changes at 00:00 UTC).
# kHz - the beacon's nominal published frequency if you know it.
# The Call Ident.
Those main items can be in any order within themselves, but BEFORE any
other optional details (Location, Distance, etc.) later in the same line.
As always, give details in your log of your own location and the receiver,
aerial(s), etc. that you were using.
If you send any interim logs, be sure to send a FINAL (complete) one.

The Labyrinth of XPath
Ok, it turns out XPath is a bit more than just syntax. Turns out you need to actually think a little. But it was not bad at all, in fact, it was kinda fun playing around with the queries until I figured it out. It was not too difficult, but it was just hard enough to be satisfying when I got it. Furthermore, the log behind Xpath is kind of interesting. Way more interesting than actually building the XML document. It is like a labyrinth and you need to find your way to just the right spot then find your way out again. And much like a labyrinth, you navigate it was done with a metaphorical blindfold on. I had the tutorial, so I had a lot of information on how the basic functions of XPath, but with those, I had to figure out the right order of functions and the right combination. Although I did not being reminded that Jeff Sessions is a member of the American government.
Also through learning about Xpath before I learn about databases, excluding XML, it gives me a unique and I think a positive base of understanding for how data retrieval works. Although XPath works for the tree-based data storage of XML it is illuminating how one actually goes about retrieving information period. There are built in calls for specific sets of data, to begin with, that the company/person knows will be used. It makes a lot of sense. Furthermore, it underlines the importance of having queries that will not change if new data is added to the database.
Beyond that, I am excited to start learning R and SQL. As a data science major, I am going to have to use the programs, or similar ones, for my entire career. I know a little about each but not nearly enough, so this will be an extremely helpful section of this class.
Also, I just applied to an REU at Georgia Technical University for civic data science. I know I stand a very small chance, but it is exciting that I am in a position where I can even apply to something like that. Especially because it is about civics. I have always volunteered and it a real point of pride for me and having the opportunity to learn so much from my civic duty related to my career is exciting. And the stuff we are about to learn will be really useful if I do end up getting it.
Just because I can I want to talk a little more about data analytics in sports. It is a travesty how unequal statistics are still compared to each other. A basketball player’s field goal percentage who shoots mostly close to the basket should never be compared to another player’s field goal percentage who shoots mostly three-pointers. It is ridiculous, yet it happens all the time with no consideration of risk versus reward. Of course, the player who shoots more three-point shots will have a lower field goal percentage, it is harder, but a three-point shot is worth a whole one and a half times that of a two point shot. And we have the metrics to measure true field goal percentage, yet it does not appear on a box score and the total field goal percentage does.
