Spooky shit happened to me at work 😱 I was walking down the asile to notify my boss we are clear of any unwanted customers.(We are close by this moment)When I was approaching the framing area,which is located at the back of the store, there was a certain sound that caught my attention.It sounded like someone was messing aroung in the farming area. Straight up was loud enough that made me think the lady that worked there was still in the store.Here is the kicker tho......she clocked out way before we closed. Framing lady was not a culprit for making that much noise. Knowing this I made sure it wasn't hideaway person or anything.Checking  the little place the lady makes frame was my only option that I don't wanna do. It's full of shit that is breakable and knowing how clumsy I can get. With caution I approched the area, I did the typical hello is there anybody here, no response. Well shit now I need to check the freaking area for anything who might hide there. Checking everyplace that a person or animal might hide at, nothing was there. No human or critters was on sight except my coworkers of course who was on the other side of the store. Not even close to the framing area so it was no way in hell them making that loud ass sound. My legs responed quicker that I thought. I ran all the way to the office scared outta of my mind. I told my coworker what happend they just said oh u meet it that's cool. Apparenty this not the first mister ghosty shows up to scare us.

Salvage the candy

During the last three weeks, the store’s AC broke down. So the temperature was 100 °F and all the candy merchandise had started to melt. I tried to salvage as much candy as I can during that late afternoon shift and managed to store them inside our cooler before they got soggy. 

The customers, however kept complaining that it’s “hot in here”. No shit, sherlock! 

It got so hot in there that we were instructed to shut down temporarily and step outside to cool off and it would be the company’s liability if employees experience some heat stroke. I’m not a fan of summer and the heat.

Ok y'all. I'm a southern girl just trying to survive working in retail. I work in a glorified convenience store as a manager and, as many of you know, people suck. Retail will quickly turn you from a wide-eyed, naive kid who believes everyone is essentially good into a hateful button monkey who distrusts everyone purely on principle. I love #floraldesign mostly because flowers themselves are incredibly designed by #nature. These #beautiful flowers from my parent’s #garden provide #inspiration of form and #colorinspiration . . Fun fact about me... I’ve worked at a florist twice in my life, only for a few months each time but I absolutely LOVED the experiences!!! The last shop was during college and the crazy Asian lady who ran the shop made us call her mom. She was so cheap that she would tell us to “accidentally” put daisies in place of sunflowers for funeral arrangements. She spoke loudly to the customers on the phone, almost angrily, as the fighter jets took off from the military base near us. The gay guy dressed in crop tops and tight jean shorts who did the designing was sweet as ever and insisted we blast Madonna circa 1980’s while he made arrangements. Every week I delivered two dozen red roses to the stripper who worked two doors down, and made me wait till her pole dance was done to deliver the fancy bouquet which was from the same man who only bought his wife a single yellow rose for her bday! Clearance Shoes vs. Voting

Customer: let me guess, the shoes included in the sale are on those stupid racks?

Me: why did you call the racks stupid?

Customer: you voted for Obama didn’t you?

Me: …wait…what?

Customer: you voted for Obama.

Me: what does that have to do with anything? I only asked why you called the racks stupid.

Customer: I can tell because you chose to focus on one word rather than reality.

Me: …That doesn’t make any sense.

Customer: sure it does.

Me: well, you still haven’t answered my question.

Customer: you kids just don’t know what you got yourself into. And it’s the kids your age who voted for Obama. You will be paying for that decision for the rest of your life and I literally mean pay.

Me: how do you even know I voted at all?

Customer: I just do. I can tell. And about student loans, you all will really be suffering. I don’t have anything to worry about because I am old enough to not be affected by Obama’s policies.

Me: so, I am beginning to suspect you won’t answer my question.

Customer: *continues to complain about Obama and doesn’t leave until he realizes I am laughing AT him*
