I loved this book so much! I’ll admit I bought this after watching the olympic swimming and diving competitions last summer. Because I just needed more content, ya know? And I was not disappointed! This was just so much fun to read.
I really loved Alex and Dane. They had an enemies to lovers things going on, but it was also a lot more then that. We had a smidge of scorned lovers and a second chance romance thrown into the mix as well. And it made for the perfect amount of angst and drama in this romance.
I also loved that Alex was so family oriented and he was definitely the Oldest Child (tm). It came through in everything that he did, from taking care of a sick family member to captaining his team and shouldering the weight of an olympic level team’s expectations. And Dane! I loved that he was finally able to stand up to his extremely controlling and homophobic parents, coming out to his team and the media, and finally being happy in a relationship of his choosing. And how could I forget the club scene! It was just perfection. It had all the right notes of drama and finally getting back together.
Honestly, this book was so much fun. It had the right amount of drama, a little smidge of ridiculousness, and a really great romance. And swimming! I don’t know whats not to love about Relay. I’m giving this a five stars and would highly recommend!

But if you were told you are a superstar, destined for greatness, the next Mark Spitz, silver would…
