The game we play is only for today
A chance to not see tomorrow but here I am in sorrow
A thousand points for a tank but not for my heart that sank
The beds I hid over and under had you murdered
But when I saw mother, I remembered days with father
Stubborn was I then, but I've grown into a fine young man
Your eccentric walks and face of visible jokes
Was the thread of hope I learned to hold and now I cope
I've learned the rules of the game I believe and we were all fools
We won and we won with guide, oh now you see your son from above
