Civilized certainly wasn't in her nature and she was adamant it was far from his. Her glare followed the glass as it hit his lips, his finger sticking out as if he was posh, the judgment on her face clear. "I'm going near your asshole Kai, god knows what's gonna come out of it. What's next? You want me to peg you or something? Only if you're paying me." Taking in her surroundings again it occurred to Esma that perhaps she should've found this all a bit creepy, but nothing scared her anymore. Not even the loud thud that followed from one of the other rooms. She'd lived a lifetime of being scared, was it stupid not to be? Highly likely. "You pussy. We've probably woken up some poor homeless man." She teased his reaction, turning on her heels to investigate. God knows what she'd come across, but fearless was one way to describe her. It was quiet down the hall after the crashing noise. "Hello? Is anyone here?" With cautious steps, Esma ventured into the dark hallway, her phone's torch cutting through the shadows. After a crash, she called out, her voice echoing. In a bedroom, her light revealed a trembling stray cat. Esma's heart softened as she approached, offering comfort. With a gentle touch, she lifted the cat, feeling a sense of unexpected solace in its presence. "Aw, baby." @mp3kai

          "es, we're civilized folk." a lie but it was rare for anything serious to come out of the males mouth. besides, they both knew they probably were at the bottom of the list when it came to being civilized but that was all besides the point as kai brought the glass up to his lips. poking out his pinky, he took a sip before letting out a sound as if he just drank something refreshing. wandering around the kitchen a bit more, he kicked at some of the debris that were scattered all over the floor. it wasn't until esma's next comment that he looked up from the ground and over at her. an look of offense crossing over his features despite him not meaning any of it. "what the fuck? i thought you'd do it?" acting as if he was annoyed, he threw his hand up in a dismissive way. "fuck me, right? i can just fuck off and suffer... that's not very kind of you. i honestly feel attacked... i bring you to this five star establishment and you won't even wipe my fucking ass? that's bullshit." playing into his own dramatics, kai's attention was turned towards a loud bang coming from the other room. the noise ending his award winning performance as he turned to look in the direction of the next room. Esma chuckled softly, a playful glint dancing in her eyes as she leaned forward, intrigued by Peter's response. "Ah, you catch on quickly," she remarked with a smirk, acknowledging his astute observation about their conversation so far.

"As for my previous escapades," she began, her tone tinged with amusement, "let's just say I've dabbled in a variety of schemes. My marriage being one of them," She paused for effect, letting the implication hang in the air before continuing. "Hence why I'm out of the sugar baby game." @peterbasara

"Yeah, something tells me that I wouldn't be able to afford you," Peter points out -- the clue being, well, their entire conversation up until this point.

He didn't need to point out that he also no longer held the title of being a multi-millionaire. That was simply semantics.

"Oh really?" he questions with interest, leaning back in his seat.

"Please do fill me in on the details of previous scamming."

Esma raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on her lips as she took a sip of her drink, her eyes glinting mischievously. "You're no stranger to trouble, though are you? In fact, I think you like trouble." she chuckled softly, tracing the rim of her glass with her finger.

She tilted her head slightly, studying Will. "Look, I'm sorry about that, I shouldn't have dragged you or anyone else into our stupid fucking games." At least it got her apology out of the way. "But hey, you got some of the best sex of your life out of it, so it wasn't all bad, right?" Her tone was casual, almost nonchalant.

"Well, I'm from here, so I'm no stranger to this sleepy little town although it was a lot quieter when I was here last, where the fuck did all these people come from?" She questioned, looking around the busy bar. "I'm surprised you're liking it though." @willxmeyers

Will scoffed, fingers tapping on the edge of his glass. Trouble had a way of finding him, and this time, it took the form of a brunette who embodied nothing but bad decisions. "Unfortunately, I do know that."

A small scoff accompanied his sarcastic laugh. "That distinction means very little when he's brandishing a baseball bat at you," Will commented dryly. He hadn't noticed a wedding ring on her, but now he wasn't certain if she ever wore one. Had he foreseen how fucked the whole situation would have gotten maybe he would have checked more thoroughly the first time. "Well, that's a shame," although his tone implied the falseness of that statement. Will's eyebrows pinched together as he studied her profile. "I've lived here for a year, enjoying it thoroughly, actually." He didn't elaborate on the reasonings for the move, she probably didn't care anyway. "I'm curious what brings you to town though. Especially if it's not really your pace."

Esma raised an eyebrow, nodding in agreement as Jordan voiced her frustrations. "You've got a point there," she remarked with a wry smile. "Some folks really could use a crash course in navigating the digital world and avoiding scams. It's like they're walking around with a 'scam me' sign plastered on their backs."

She leaned in conspiratorially, a hint of sympathy in her expression. "And as for those stupid mistakes haunting us? Tell me about it," she said with a knowing chuckle. "But hey, we live and learn, right? Besides, sometimes those mistakes lead us down paths we never would've explored otherwise." Esma's eyes sparkled with a mixture of mischief and wisdom as if she knew all too well the twists and turns of life's unpredictable journey. "Can I ask what you did?" @jordanmitchell

"Some old people have stupid kids." Intelligence wasn't passed down to every child but there were also some families who were deserving to fall prey to such scams. As for theirs who didn't, those were the ones that she felt most sorry for. "I think every person above a certain age should take a class on the internet and scams. As well as be re-tested for their drivers license. That's just me." If it was up to Jordan, she'd revoke all the drivers license of anyone above sixty five. Esma flashed a playful grin in response to Aeris's question, a glint of amusement dancing in her eyes. "Well, well, aren't you bold," she remarked, her tone teasing. "I'll have to check my schedule and get back to you on that one."

As the bartender approached, Esma signaled for another round, then turned her attention back to Aeris. "And as for staying in Aurora Bay instead of Beverly Hills? Let's just say I prefer the charm of small-town life over the glitz and glamour of the big city. Plus, there's something thrilling about being a big fish in a small pond, don't you think?" Her smile was enigmatic, hinting at a deeper layer beneath her seemingly casual choice of location.

“Alright, alright. That’s a fair goal.” He hums, finishing the contents of his beer and nodding to the bartender to let them know he’s ready when they’re free. “Not Beverly Hills? You want to stay in Aurora Bay?” It’s a choice, he muses. Maybe because he’d grown up in Los Angeles he misses that part of California more than anything. 

Aeris can respect the hustle, at least. “Are you taking applications for a sugar pup? Inquiring for a friend. That friend is me.”
