Thoughts on/Rating the S9 images that will probably be wrong in 3 months LETS GO -
Tumblr media
Tecna is the best. Hands down, 10/10. I don’t care if they threw it together at the last minute to avoid backlash, give whoever designed her a goddamn raise. The bob with purple streaks, the vinyl skirt, it’s so perfect I can’t handle it. Me to Reboot Tecna:
Tumblr media
Please let that be real. Please let the metal arm stay, Straffi.
My girl Musa is an official SHORT QUEEN, a popular headcannon that’s been going for years. I’m thrilled someone finally listened. Her iconic pigtails are also back, which is a bonus is my book (do they kinda look like Marinette’s from Miraculous? Yes, because Rainbow’s gotta steal one thing per season for Winx). The outfit isn’t my favorite, but better than others I’ve seen her in. A very respectable 8.5/10.
Rainbow’s art department raised enough money for brown paint, which is great news for Aisha! No more whitewashing! Her braids are stellar, her look is sporty, just very cute in general. The color scheme is very different from her original look, but I like it. Give Aisha bright colors. Let her be happy. And now tallest girl? 9/10
Flora’s look is the most similar to the OG series. Really the only difference is that weird ass green jacket - thing looks like it came off a one-day Project Runway challenge. It seems waaaay too structured compared to the rest of the outfit. That’s legit my only note. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it, I guess. 7.5/10
Bloom’s look says 2 things; “I’m Bella Thorne from Shake It Up!,” and Certified Horse Girl™️. I do not vibe with either. Bloom is not either. Why is she in pink again? Why is her belt so big - Bloom is so impatient and always in a rush, do you think she has time to put a belt on every day? I get the skirt is paying homage to the S3 one, but the rest is…a choice. This would be lower if Bloom wasn’t my favorite character. But she is, and it’s not the worst look. 6/10.
No, no, the worst look here is your favorite Solarian princess and mine, Stella. I get Rainbow was trying for a new look, but it doesn’t land for me. I don’t like the sunglasses, I don’t like that her dress is pink because that’s never really been Stella’s primary color - it’s more Flora and Tecna’s (and now Bloom’s I guess because UGH). She’s also wearing sleeves, which Stella rarely wore in the series because she is the fairy of the sun and I always thought that was a cool wardrobe detail. The only times she’s worn long sleeves (as a primary outfit in the season) were in S6 with her Alfea uniform, and Season 8, which barely counts. Just…make it orange. Or yellow, or even blue. It would fix so much. 5/10 for doing this ray of sunshine so dirty.
Also, if we can afford new civilian and transformation outfits for the girls, we can do the same for Ogron and the Black Circle. C’mon guys. Also! Why does Ogron have a dark dragon? What the fuck does that mean? Please do not pull a S8 Valtor on the Wizards. They don’t deserve it. And probably get Duman in there before the fans come after you.

Happy New Year everyone !
Let's start 2023 with something you might have not expected from me, namely redrawing the picture of Winx girls from the upcoming season 9. Of course I had to put my own spin on it, because e.g. I'm not convinced about Tecna having braided pigtails, but I like braids in general, so I came up with a more practical hairstyle which Tecna would choose for herself, I believe.
Hope you like my lil redesign and best wishes for the new year!

WDYM THERE'S GOING TO BE A WINX CLUB S9????
OK LET'S TALK ABOUT THE DESIGNS
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MY GIRL IS BEAUTIFUL
I really love the new designs, the clothes are beautiful and please, Aisha's hair??? It's the best!!
Tumblr media
Tecna's outfit suits her so well, and omg, THE LEGS AND ARMS?? WHATTT????
Tumblr media
LOVE. HER. HAIR
Come on, I love the detail that Musa has the same hairstyle she had in season 1 😭😭
There are many new designs and that includes the Trix, and people talk about them, but have they already talked about the new designs of the professors? You know... PALLADIUM?
Will he change anything about his clothing, hair?
if he shows up, there might be a chance to see him in the last stage of his evolution! I would really love for that to happen, although, well, according to the information that was given to us along with his 3 stages, it also says that in his last evolution he should return to his land of origin, but what if he doesn't?
It is also mentioned that the last stage of evolution is a winged creature (probably like a fairy) imagine Palladium with wings, OMG!!
There are many theories that I want to talk about but I wouldn't like to make this post so long besides there are many that probably won't become reality, but it's okay to dream!!

Quick thoughts on the reboot:
Tumblr media
Stella's hair is a absolute fail, no green, and her outfit isn't servering
I hope they don't make Tenca a robot but the look fucking SERVES, love the mini skirt love the different colored legs, love the implication that she uses her prosthetics for fashion
Aisha with the braids serves like hell but her outfit looks so lame. Not bad just lame as fuck
Bloom looks absolutely ridiculous and she would wear that godbless
Flora looks so beautiful but the jacket isn't it. Flora wearing a jacket....like she gets cold or something. Insane behavior
Musa.....Winx club falls to musa buns peer pressure but it's not long hair so I'll live. The outfit....I genuinely have no clue what style that is but at least it kinda looks like her style so I'll take it tbh
If they give Ogron shadow dragon powers or whatever and this isn't just him copying/stealing Blooms magic I'm going to be so upset, but also I'm a little excited to see Ogron getting a personality and motivations. So well see
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They made Flora's bag boring but her hair is gorgeous
They STOLE STELLA'S SHORTS!!! but the skirt is soooo cute and shows her safety shorts so ig I'll live but it's so important to me that the high femme fairy wears shorts
Love the colors on bloom but that red was a mistake, it doesn't mesh well, her bag is cute, no thoughts on the shorts. Like on one hand Bloom not being made high femme, on the other hand making her civilian more femme and her magic form less femme really takes away from her growing up with dreaming of being a fairy, the body suit on the promo looks so fucking cool tho

Some headcanons regarding Winx's appearance I like/have
While the cartoon doesn't really have different body types, there are some headcanons about Winx I really like (and it looks like some of them, mostly about Layla/Aisha and Musa, will become canon in the 9th season/reboot, so maybe I'm onto something!).
Bloom - the whole point of her character is being an average girl that turns out to be a fairy and a princess of the lost kingdom, so I think that she should look rather average (aside from her red hair + blue eyes combo, of course). You know, like 168cm tall and with nothing too specific/characteristic about her body shape.
Stella - as a kid I always wondered why Stella likes sunbathing so much, yet it is never visible on her body. This is why I like to think that, aside from winter and especially during summer, she is more or less tanned. I also like to imagine her as tall, like 178cm, to fit into this model-like archetype, but I think it would be nice for her to be a little chubbier and/or have a pear body shape. For two reasons. First, to have the most fashionable character not fitting fully into the conventional standards of beauty. Second, I think it would be interesting in relation to her being "the ugly child" (this one retrospection of her being like 10, in S2), showing her confidence.
Flora - her version from 1999, the conceptual one, had glasses and I think that she would look so cute in round ones. Plus a little more representation of people wearing glasses, and not a super-stereotypical one at that! For variety, she could sometimes wear glasses, sometimes contacts. Moreover, I like this headcanon in the community that she is chubby, with a round/apple shape, such strong mom friend vibes! Alternatively, I think that it would be also fitting for her to be like 175cm tall (you know, tall, but not super-tall) and rather skinny. I'm thinking rectangle/candle body type. I think that this could get the idea of her being shy. Of course, body shapes have nothing to do with your personality, don't understand me wrong! I'm thinking more about how characters are designed and the vibes they can instantly give. Oh, and she likes doing experiments, so maybe one went wrong, and now she has a prosthesis made from branches of trees? This could look cool, plus I'm pretty sure Flora would be like "well, stuff happens".
Layla/Aisha - for some reason I like to imagine her being tall, like the tallest of the group, maybe like 182cm. And of course with a toned body! After all, she's very into sport and dance, I think her muscles would be visible. An hourglass or a rectangle shape, I think.
Musa - while Layla for some reason is tall in my mind, I imagine Musa as the shortest one. Maybe because of her fiery temper, short characters with fire personalities are always entertaining. Plus, this would add the dynamic tall friend&short friend with Aisha. Also, a rectangle shape. Or maybe an inverted triangle?
Tecna - I think it would be funny if she looked like an ideal model. An hourglass shape, 180cm. Stella would be like "ohmygodgirlyoulooksostunningcanyouwearmyprojectspleasepleaseplease" and Tecna, just hella confused, would answer "...thanks?". The beautiful girl that has no idea how beautiful she is, just minding her own business.

So I am excited for the Winx reboot. Like I've got such high hopes for this, it looks amazing so far!!
I just have one gripe. The Tecna robot theory. And the way her design looks like that might be the direction they're taking her character.
I've had a long time disdain for this theory, for one huge reason. It pretty much undermines her entire character arc. Season five writing is widely considered the last "good season writing." And I can agree with this. It certainly isn't up to par with seasons 1-3, and barely keeps up with season 4.
But it kept a few good things. One of those being Tecna's arc. While it was annoying to rehash it all, it was done well. It was good.
I adore Tecna's arc. It's well done. We watch as she grapples with unlearning everything her planet teaches about emotions. We see her and Timmy figuring out how to comfortably interact. This all results in Tecna having very interesting development and Tecna and Timmy being one of the most healthy relationships in the show.
Now, back to the Robot Tecna theory. In my opinion, it would completely undermine Tecna's entire arc. It would throw the only interesting thing this character has going for her.
Because the point of Tecna's arc is that she is human. And that even though she was raised to turn off that side of her and focus on the logic, she doesn't have to. Her emotions make her human, not weak.
So to make her a robot would throw all of that away. It would make her "learning how to people" arc too cliche and lame. It'd also send the message that people don't experience this in real life. That people who are grappling with emotions and feelings are basically inhuman.
I'm sure I could've worded this better, but that's essentially how I feel about this whole thing. I'm a Tecna stan, her being my favorite character. So I just really want the writers to do her justice.

Track two : Head over heels, by Tears for Fears.
Tumblr media
Cw : recovering scars.
Tec brainrot ? Tec brainrot.
Here the brain of the main six, the underestimated pink haired mf with pronouns that no one wanted to roleplay as a kid but ended up being the most relatable character of the show when you grow up haha :')
I had a huge Winx brainrot since last week due to my Valentines post and I realized I barely draw him digitaly so here you go
In my AU, Tecna is genderqueer biromantic demisexual, and goes by She/He/It (+ They/Them sometimes).
I think she would definitly be a Thatcher Davis kinnie... and an Hot Pants kinnie aswell.

Okay so we’ve finally gotten a full look at the Winx’s new designs for the upcoming Winx Club reboot and i can’t tell if i’m the only person who actually likes them?? I guess the only one i have mixed feelings on is Stella just because in comparison to the rest, she looks very basic, which shouldn’t be the case when it comes to Stella. But aside from her, to me, they all look so great!!
