Hello booknerds! I've a review today. It was gonna be a video but I'm exhausted and I've got a big pimple coming in on my chin and I'm feeling self-conscious. Thank you so so so much to @alexbracken And @disneybooks For sending me this copy or LORE. BOTTOM LINE: it's absolutely amazing. If you read LORE OLYMPUS by @usedbandaid Then this is def the book for you. It mixes, absolutely perfectly, the old GREEK myths and the newer modern bloodthirstiness of the generation in "power". Melora was so so relatable and her relationship-with everyone including herself-were perfectly written. I don't think I've read her other books but my god I'm gonna start. It's characterization was *chefs kiss*. The gods and the hunters and the mortals involved were just like god. I can't write. I can't speak. I finished it last night, wanting to savor it and I still haven't processed it completely. Bottom line. Go get it. Order. Put on a mask and support local bookstores and buy it(if you can). happy Thursday booknerds!⁠ ⁠ today's book is: Cinderella is Dead by Kaylnn Byron ⁠ Review!!⁠ This book, SMASH IT! by @francinasimone was absolutely amazing.⁠ ⁠ I adored Olivia so much. She is so relatable its a little harsh. But her power and her struggle and the idea that she takes and runs with throughout the novel is perfection. She is a painfully shy bookworm with two best guy friends. In a completely hormonal time of her life, she is dealing with trying to fit into her own skin, into her school and into a new stage of her life. Literally and figuratively. Her character development was so strong and amazing I couldn't help but clap at the end of the book.⁠ ⁠ SMASH IT! is full of amazing black girl magic and relatable moments that bring me back to the awkwardness of high school.⁠ ⁠ It's a five star read for me.⁠ 🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘⁠ 🇪🇸⁠ feliz jueves booknerds!⁠ ⁠ El libro de hoy es: Cenicienta ha muerto por @kaylnnbayron⁠ ⁠ ¡¡Revisión!!⁠ Este libro, ¡SMASH IT! por @francinasimone fue absolutamente increíble.⁠ ⁠ Adoraba tanto a Olivia. Ella es tan identificable que es un poco dura. Pero su poder y su lucha y la idea que toma y ejecuta a lo largo de la novela es la perfección. Es una ratón de biblioteca dolorosamente tímida con dos mejores amigos. En un momento de su vida completamente hormonal, está tratando de encajar en su propia piel, en su escuela y en una nueva etapa de su vida. Literal y figurativamente.
