A bit of wild guesswork.

If I remember correctly, Bhaal foresaw his own death, without Alaundo's prophecy. And the solution he chose was to produce spawns for a specific occasion. To sacrifice them on their Father's altar. To be reborn from their blood.

What if Bhaal foresaw again? Let's assume he knew something was going to happen. That there would be Three Chosen, the Crown of Carsus, rivers of blood, and an opportunity to kill the world. So, Bhaal did what he always did - he created the Bhaalspawn. The Chosen One. The bloody tool.

What if Bhaal told Bane? The part he knew Bane would love – part before the world turned red. Bane would then start looking for someone capable of fulfilling the prophecy. Perhaps there were specific requirements that a young Enver Flymm met, just like many other candidates.

What if Raphael found out about the Dead Gods’ plans? He desired the crown for himself. So, he received one of the candidates. The genius boy. Raphael tried to train Gortash, molding him into a brilliant thief, capable of stealing the crown from Mephistopheles. However, Gortash was a difficult child. Unruly. Too smart. As a result, Raphael punished him more and more frequently. Gortash became a prisoner.

What if Gortash managed to escape using skills ant talants that Raphail has plant? And he took some goods with him. Something that Gortash sold, giving himself a good start. Estate. Bodyguard services.

What if Bane lend a helping black hand to Gortash soon after his escape? And for this Gortash eternally grateful to his god.

Name. Calina Age. 1728. Species. Human/Witch Hair colour. Black Eye colour. Ultramarine Height. 5 ft 2 Children. Zelek Vallis Status. On the run from Raphail

Calina has been on the run for 1693 years, never staying in one place long out of fear that Raphail will find her. She knows who Zelek is and has made the assumption that he’s her son, since she’s tracked his history as best she could and they have the same colouring (plus the name she gave him). She keeps an eye on him from a distance, never getting too close out of fear that she’ll either be rejected for abandoning him to his tribe or that she’ll stay too long and Raphail will find them both.

Calina is a very kind hearted and caring person, she is always trying to do her best to be a good person but she has done some terrible things out of survival. Raphail has not once stopped hunting her, at this stage it’s not so much the fact he views her as his property (though that is still a factor) but that he is pissed off at the fact she has managed to evade him for so long.
