Fantasy AU

So I was thinking about how many modern day werewolf fics there are, and wondered what would happen if the whole game was set in a fantasy world. This rambling thing is what happened:

The Seeds are werewolves, and they've adopted a fae as their sister to help grow Bliss. They name her Faith as fairy folk guard their real names. They are growing the cult pretty much the same as in the game only cars are replaced with horses and other era appropriate transportation. Jacob's slideshow and music box are made using a clever combination of mechanical and magical components.

The angels are vampires. The Father controls them, and believes that he helped them by freeing them from damnation by never letting them die and stripping them of their will to sin.

The Deputy is a ranger in training completely human, but definitely some chosen one vibes going on there. The rest of the police, Whitehorse, Pratt, Hudson they're more experienced rangers with experience in battling both the wilds and the magical creatures they encounter in rural Montana. Hudson is an elf which is why she was sent to John, the Bliss affects her differently and the judges won't harm her.

Burke is a pompous human Marshal from the city and uses his authority to form a posse filled with local law enforcement and they pile into a fortified wagon to bring in Joseph Seed. He doesn't realize or listen to the danger he is putting the others in when he goes to serve his warrant. The horses are spooked by the raging mob, and Pratt loses control of the team sending them all off a cliff. Somehow everyone survives the fall and the Father walks free as the lanterns catch the wreckage on fire and the Deputy escapes into the night.

Dutch and his neice Jess are elves. Their story is about the same except Dutch uses the creatures of the forest to get his information and send messages. He remains hidden in his underground lair preferring to direct others and preserve his solitude. He rescues Rook and gives them a chatty raven who flys back and forth delivering messages for the Resistance in place of the walkie system.

Hurk, Sharky, and the rest of their loud clan are dwarves. The bearded duo are both masters of crafting fantastic weapons, though most things Sharky creates have a more insindiary nature which comes in handy for battling the vampires in larger groups. Dwarves are the only race to have mastered gunpowder, and Hurk specializes in using it to create both bombs and ever more intricate launchers. Both have a habit of setting the general area about themselves ablaze.

Addie is also a dwarf and she has a small dragon that she's named Tulip. The cult kidnapped Tulip and Dep gains Adelaide's friendship recapturing the unruly beast and returning it to her. Her boyfriend Xander is an elf ;)

Grace Armstrong is a powerful witch with an enchanted crossbow that never misses it's mark. She's a battle hardened veteran who can disappear into the woods in front of your eyes and predict enemy movements with uncanny accuracy. She tried settling down and living in a cottage but her quiet retirement was interrupted by the holy war.

The Rye's are fae. Everyone knows Kim is the more powerful of the two, but with the baby on the way she stays out of the fighting. Nick can just fly if he wanted but he prefers riding his prized golden dragon Carmina. Rye & Sons is a dragon farm! His family breeds the large beasts and tames them. This is where Addie aquired her baby Tulip.

The feud between Nick and John came about when he stole two eggs from one of Nick's nesting females. They later grew up to be Jacob's red Pack Hunter and John's black Affirmation. Fae never forget an insult. When John manages to kidnap Carmina, the Rookie rescues her and Nick vows to repay the debt by raining fire from above on to the Peggies.

The Fangs for Hire are all about the same. Boomer, Peaches, and Cheeseburger are just awesome animal companions willing to rip into whoever Rook points them at.

Eli is also a werewolf and the militia are a mix of folks from all races. Jacob murdered Eli's family and he just pack bonded with a whole group of friends and fighters that shared his distaste for the cult. Tammy is a bitter dwarf who's husband left her for the cult and Wheaty is a human with a knack for music and instruments. He's always asking the Dep to bring back any music books they find and to sing the old songs he doesn't have recorded on parchment.

Once again, haven’t had time to sit and draw this character properly. This is Raine, my dutch angel dragon oc. She plays the role of the angel on your shoulder and, unlike Rattenauge, encourages Calamity and keeps them safe. She and Rattenauge are great enemies who always argue, which makes sense because they’re opposites of each other. (Pronouns: she/her/they/them)

Here goes nothing.

So a lot of people who’ll end up seeing this post probably already know about what’s going on with the furry youtuber Rainy Chaos currently. For those who don’t though, I’ll catch you up to speed. So this week, my first furry youtuber, who’s still my favorite to this day Rainy Chaos was fortunate enough to get promoted in youtube’s new “Youtubers On The Rise”. Or was it UN-fortunate... See, right when it happened, Rain was getting nasty death threats all over the comments sections in her videos. All for being a furry. It got so bad that she actually had to disable the comments section and the ratings because of all the flack she was getting. She even sent an email to youtube requesting she be taken off of “Youtubers On The Rise”. Poor dragon-coyote... ;m; It’s absolutely outrageous. People are so goddamn ignorant and I hate how they all just blindly hate on what they don’t understand, or what they THINK they understand. It’s especially stupid that they’ll click on a video they KNOW they won’t like, simply to rage in the comments without even WATCHING the video. I Hate Everything is a PERFECT example of this! Most of his videos were made for comedy, yet everyone always thought that he meant everything he said DESPITE how many time’s he’d say in his videos, “I don’t understand why people freak out. It’s only comedy” (I’m paraphrasing though obviously) And despite this, people would see the name of one of his videos, get outraged because it was something they liked, and scream, wale, piss and moan in the comments section. But this is way bigger, because this is an angry mob of hollow individuals who are threatening someone’s LIFE because of a HOBBY!!! I mulled that over for awhile and saw that people were making videos about her. Biggies like Zabu The Sergal and Dew the Dutch Angel Dragon plus a whole bunch more, including smaller youtubers! I watched all that I could find, leaving a thank you in the comments and it turned out that Rain had seen most of them too, because right under my comment almost everytime, was one from Rain too. So it’s obvious to me that Rain is seeing these other people supporting her, bigger and smaller. And it reminded me how beautiful our fandom- or community rather is. We all hold so much love for this fandom, that we’ll defend eachother in bullshit times such as this one. I’ve been going on a supportive rampage all over youtube ever since lunch period XD (Yes I’m in school right now fight me XD) But I wanted to share the love and say (Even though there’s probably no chance in hell that Rainy Chaos will see this, lol) Rain we love you, and we (or at the VERY least I will) will help kick these haters to the curb. Additionally, I am SO sorry this happened to you. You must’ve felt so cornered at the time. For anyone else who feels the same way, I urge you to please share this. #weloverainy
