hi sweetestpopcorn, i am sorry for this ask that is quite odd, but i was wondering if perhaps you knew, if the whole "queen of love and beauty" is a thing that GRRM invented all by himself, or if it was a thing in the real world by a different name?
Hi there Anon (don't worry you published this on Anon ;),
I think it is something George invented by himself yes. While women giving knights gifts and favours was a common practice in Medieval jousting, and some knights might dedicate their victory to a particular woman - often times the queen - I don't think I have ever come across anything resembling a "Queen of Love and Beauty" figure. If I am wrong though, someone please correct me and if there is something alike a "Queen of Love and Beauty" in real life let me know and I will share it :)
Right now, Anon, this is the best answer I can give.
Also major shoutout to my girl @xenonwitch who helped me answer this one!

Just a casual thought about how Daenerys is a true Queen of Love and Beauty in ADwD:
Her pretenders come to her from every corner of Planetos, hoping to have her hand (and her army and her dragons).
She (with her dragons) is Lightbringer ( ≈ AA / TPTWP).
Lightbringer = the morning star = Venus.
Venus is the goddess of love and beauty.
And I love how Martin weave this imaginery around Dany and resonate all around the series like the chorus of a song.
