Qatari official: Jews are murderers of prophets; October 7 is only a ‘prelude’
Once again the Qatari government being completely antisemitic, yet still pretending they're the 'mediators' in the region.

eden golan has to have 24 hour security detail in malmo because mobs of people have gathered outside her hotel room to protest her participation in a song contest. the finnish eurovision contestant said a video of him interacting with golan was “posted without his consent” and that the video “is not an endorsement” of Israel. her song, “Hurricane”, was originally titled “October Rain”, but was deemed too political for the contest by the EBU because of its references to the Simchat Torah pogrom.
she’s 20 years old. it’s a song contest. Israel has competed in Eurovision forty five times since 1973. Israel has won Eurovision four times and hosted three times. and this is the first time a contestant’s life has been at risk because of conflict in their home country.
who the fuck is being liberated here? who are we helping? more importantly, who is going to be the collateral damage?

Hamas, Al Jazeera admit: Story of IDF rapes in Gaza hospital were fabricated (Islamic Taqiyya) to slander the Israeli state.
Al Jazeera featured a “testimony” by Jamila Al-Hessi, a Gazan woman who claimed that while she was under siege in the area of the Al Shifra hospital complex, she witnessed IDF soldiers “raping women then killing them and burning entire families alive.”
This story, widely printed and broadcast in the Arab press, also garnered hundreds of millions of social-media views.
Predictably, this story was false.
The woman who originated this latest blood-libel antisemitic smear, admitted she invented the story, but justified it because the "goal was to arouse the nation’s fervor and brotherhood.”
Palestinian propaganda machine takes its cues from Göbbels and Stalin. Only very primitive individuals take it seriously.

Brianna Wu is such a vile zionist. Accusing Palestine protesters of being paid when people are literally being blacklisted or killed for the slightest support of Palestine. Social media are shadowbanning Palestine posts, including TikTok! This article is literally an opinion piece with 0 evidence and she tweeted it like it's a fact. I hope she rots in hell.

"antisemitism isn't the reason people hate Israel" well, sure, for me and for you, and for plenty of reasonable-minded people, I'm sure, but there are MASSIVE contingents of people (left, right, and center) who simply hate Israel because it is a Jewish state and would not hate a state that does the same things and is not Jewish to the same extent.
take, for example: Qatar. It is even more of an Apartheid state than Israel is, the majority of its population is a class of exploited, non-citizen, primarily Desi workers. this exploitation is absolutely racialized, and it allows the relatively small contingent of Qatari nationals to have a massive GDP per capita. how did most people hear about this? when Qatar was selected to host the 2022 World Cup, and these crimes against humanity were brought to the public's attention by activists organizing against the government. AND THEN THE WORLD CUP STILL HAPPENED THERE. AND THEN NEARLY EVERYONE FORGOT ABOUT QATAR. AND PEOPLE ARE STILL TRUSTING THEIR STATE-OWNED NEWS OUTLET, AL JAZEERA.
i hate Israel. Anyone with principles should. but you must, simply must, reckon with the thousands, millions of people (again, Left, Right, and center) who will join your hatred of Israel not because they particularly believe in the human rights and dignity of Palestinians, but so they can hate Jews and feel socially justified in doing so.

I just read this trash-fire of an opinion piece, which doesn't even say what the IHRA definition of antisemitism is, and so to trained eyes is very transparently grasping for antisemitism but to untrained eyes may sound reasonable. But the IHRA definition does get a lot of criticism, and people do frequently complain that criticism of Israel gets wrongly and incorrectly stifled as antisemitic, so obviously this is going to be a reasonable take, right?
Wrong, and let's talk about that, fellow tumblrinas who care about human rights and good discourse and anti-racism and all that jazz, and break down why the IHRA definition does not do what these (all non-Jewish) authors claim it does, and why their specific objection to its adoption on Australian campuses can only be antisemitic regardless of whether or not you use the IHRA definition.
Since they don't reproduce the definition for their readers, here is the IHRA working definition of antisemitism:
'"Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities."
To guide IHRA in its work, the following examples may serve as illustrations:
Manifestations might include the targeting of the state of Israel, conceived as a Jewish collectivity. However, criticism of Israel similar to that leveled against any other country cannot be regarded as antisemitic. Antisemitism frequently charges Jews with conspiring to harm humanity, and it is often used to blame Jews for “why things go wrong.” It is expressed in speech, writing, visual forms and action, and employs sinister stereotypes and negative character traits.
Contemporary examples of antisemitism in public life, the media, schools, the workplace, and in the religious sphere could, taking into account the overall context, include, but are not limited to:
Calling for, aiding, or justifying the killing or harming of Jews in the name of a radical ideology or an extremist view of religion.
Making mendacious, dehumanizing, demonizing, or stereotypical allegations about Jews as such or the power of Jews as collective — such as, especially but not exclusively, the myth about a world Jewish conspiracy or of Jews controlling the media, economy, government or other societal institutions.
Accusing Jews as a people of being responsible for real or imagined wrongdoing committed by a single Jewish person or group, or even for acts committed by non-Jews.
Denying the fact, scope, mechanisms (e.g. gas chambers) or intentionality of the genocide of the Jewish people at the hands of National Socialist Germany and its supporters and accomplices during World War II (the Holocaust).
Accusing the Jews as a people, or Israel as a state, of inventing or exaggerating the Holocaust.
Accusing Jewish citizens of being more loyal to Israel, or to the alleged priorities of Jews worldwide, than to the interests of their own nations.
Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor.
Applying double standards by requiring of it a behavior not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation.
Using the symbols and images associated with classic antisemitism (e.g., claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize Israel or Israelis.
Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.
Holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the state of Israel.
Antisemitic acts are criminal when they are so defined by law (for example, denial of the Holocaust or distribution of antisemitic materials in some countries).
Criminal acts are antisemitic when the targets of attacks, whether they are people or property – such as buildings, schools, places of worship and cemeteries – are selected because they are, or are perceived to be, Jewish or linked to Jews.
Antisemitic discrimination is the denial to Jews of opportunities or services available to others and is illegal in many countries.'
This definition does have problems, as the Al-Jazeera authors correctly note. It's not rooted in anti-racist scholarship, and doesn't situate antisemitism within the broader landscape of colonialism and racism, even though antisemitism is inseparable from colonialism and racism.
But note: per the IHRA working definition of antisemitism, "criticism of Israel similar to that leveled against any other country cannot be regarded as antisemitic."
You cannot be called antisemitic under the IHRA definition for opposing the IDF's bombing of civilians in Gaza or the security system in the West Bank. You cannot be called antisemitic under this definition for saying Netanyahu and allies in government are genocidal autocrats who pose an existential threat to both Palestinians and the peace process.
So given that, what could the authors of this opinion piece be objecting to?
"Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor."
This is almost certainly it. And friends, I have definitely heard variations of "the existence of the State of Israel is a racist endeavor" or "Zionism is a racist endeavor" in leftist discourse. When probed that usually points either to the fact that there was a lot of anti-Arab racism in the history of modern Zionism (and not limited to the Revisionist Zionists, who are usually whom "anti-Zionists" are actually thinking of when they say 'zionist'), or raises questions about whether a state defined explicitly as Jewish can also be a state in which Jews and non-Jewish Arabs have equal rights and standing. The former is a real and valid critique of the history of Zionist attitudes and actions, but does not make the existence of a State of Israel intrinsically racist. But you could make those critiques without that being antisemitic under the IHRA definition.
The latter is an important question to debate, but if we're going to conclude that it is not possible to identify a state as Jewish without the resulting government and society being intrinsically racist in some way, then we also have to conclude that every formally Muslim state is also intrinsically racist, as is every explicitly Christian state—so pretty much all of Europe and the Arab and Muslim world. And look, I'm fine with that! I don't necessarily agree, but I think within certain philosophical frameworks that is a reasonable conclusion, alongside opposition to the existence of nation-states at all. Reaching this broad conclusion is not antisemitic (again, as per the IHRA definition, if you would level the same criticism against any other government too, then it cannot be antisemitic).
There is a third explanation of this position that also comes up a lot, which is not valid, which is very commonly held among the pro-Palestinian Left (including I'm sure in this case), and which definitely is antisemitic.
That is "a State of Israel is necessarily a settler-colonial state, and therefore is an intrinsically racist project."
Friends. Allies. Foes. This one makes me incandescent with rage.
The Jewish people are indigenous to the Land of Israel. We emerged from Canaanite tribes over 3000 years ago during the Late Bronze Age Collapse; Hebrew is the only surviving Canaanite language. Even Ashkenazi Jews, who have lived in Diaspora for nearly 1900 years, are more closely-related to Palestinians than Palestinians are to Saudis.
A nation-state of an Indigenous people set up in their land of origin cannot be settler-colonial within the paradigm of modern anti-colonial scholarship.
The only way you get to claim Israel is a settler-colonial racist endeavour is by invalidating the history of the Jewish people as indigenous to the Land of Israel. And that is antisemitic, IHRA definition or not.
And that is what these authors so transparently want to be able to say on Australian campuses, and feel they won't be able to if the IHRA definition is adopted.
I quite frankly don't fucking care; if the IHRA definition stifles that, then it's working to reduce antisemitism on university campuses.

Sometimes fists matter more than facts
“There are no accidents, only encounters in history,” wrote Elie Wiesel. The outbreak of antisemitism that has swept across US college campuses is not a spontaneous reaction to Hamas’s massacre of over 1200 men, women, and children – a day during which the Gaza-based terrorist group kidnapped over two hundred people. Hamas’s invasion of the Jewish state, as well as the organization’s fans at Ivy…

Letter from u/FlashFlex to the so-called progressive left regarding Israel
Why do you keep accusing Israel of "occupying Palestine" but never accuse China of occupying Tibet?
Why do you keep calling for independence of Palestine but not for independence of Kurdistan?
Why do you so enthusiastically accept the Islamist propaganda that Israel is committing "genocide of Palestinians for 75 years" but immediately dismissed Russian claims of Ukraine committing genocide against ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine for 8 years as propaganda?
Why do you accuse Israel of treating Palestinians as "second-class citizens" but never bring up the fact that, in Latvia and Estonia, ethnic Russians who were already residing in those two countries by the time of the collapse of the USSR were never automatically naturalized and have what is known as "non-citizen" status?
Why are you against Israeli military presence in West Bank but not against the US military presence in Germany, Japan, South Korea, and other countries?
Why do you condemn Israel for conducting military operation in Gaza but don't mind your own countries being part of NATO which conducted military operations in other countries numerous times (including countries that didn't threaten NATO)?
Why are you against Israel annexing Gaza, West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Golan Heights but are not against Venezuela annexing part of Guyana?
Why do you ignore the plight of Christians in Africa and the Middle East?
Where were you when Yazidis were being slaughtered by ISIS?
Why are you silent on Uyghur concentration camps in China?
Why don't you call for boycotting Saudi Arabia over its bombing campaign against Yemen?
How come you're not calling on the UK to release Scotland, Spain to release Catalonia, and Denmark to release Greenland?
Why were you okay with Qatar hosting the World Cup but Israel merely participating in Eurovision is giving you panic attacks (and would afterwards give you a PTSD because Israel will participate in it)?
Why are you silent on Azerbaijani-Armenian conflict?
Why aren’t you calling for stoping civil wars in Africa?
Why don’t you call for Taliban to be removed from Afghanistan?
What about Pakistan deporting Afghani refugees?
Could these all be because you don't want to stop receiving blood money from the Muslim Brotherhood and the Chinese Communist Party?

Daily update post:
Israel has been preparing for the possibility of a direct strike from Iran. To that end, the IDF has been initiating GPS jamming, first in the south, and now in central Israel as well. On a personal note, I had to calm my mom down today (I could do this thanks to having heard about it on the news already), because it's a scary thing for people, and they don't know what to think, when they open Waze and find themselves "appearing" in enemy territory. Iran's attack options might also include drone attacks, or anti-Jewish terrorist attacks around the world. We've heard about Esther and Mordechai's Tomb being attacked tonight in Iran itself.
Tumblr media
Speaking of the country that's the biggest funder of terrorism globally, tomorrow it's "Al-Quds Day" (Jerusalem Day) in Iran. It was established in 1979, after the Islamist revolution, as an antisemitic political measure, meant to help radicalize people against the Jewish state. Officially, it's a protest of Israel's sovereignity in Jerusalem, the city which has been the capital of the Jewish people, the place we pray to, for over 3,000 years, longer than Islam has existed. Some people worry that Iran will use this date specifically to strike against Israel or other Jewish targets around the world.
Tumblr media
With or without connection, the chief of Israel's army intelligence is quoted as saying in private conversations, "I have told you time and time again that it is not certain that the worst is behind us and we are ahead of complex days."
Tumblr media
Back in February, we heard that the niece of Hamas' overall leader, Ismail Haniyeh, gave birth in an Israeli hospital, and her baby, which was born prematurely, was treated in an Israeli hospital's NICU, the same hospital that had to have millions of shekels spent on, in order to make parts of it safe during Hamas' rocket attacks. While at it, we were reminded that several of Haniyeh's sisters live in Israel after marrying Israeli Bedouins, and that a few more of his relatives were allowed from Gaza into Israel for medical treatment. Just a small reminder that Haniyeh's personal wealth is estimated to be somewhere between 4 to 5 billion dollars (Taylor Swift's is only a little over 1 billion dollars), and if he wanted to, he could have flown his entire family out of there, to join him in Qatar, with the best facilities and care, rather than get medical care at a hospital subsidized by the "genocidal Zionist enemy."
Tumblr media
Now we get the news that one of Haniyeh's sisters, a 57 years old woman, has been arrested for helping Hamas, including support for the Oct 7 massacre.
Tumblr media
This is 34 years old Lidor Levi.
Tumblr media
He was critically injured in the Palestinian terrorist attack in Gan Yavne. He was in a hospital, fighting for his life for 4 days. Today we got the news that he succumbed to his wounds. He leaves a pregnant wife and a daughter behind. May his memory be a blessing.
Tumblr media
I will never understand how the accidental killing of 7 civilians in Gaza is making more headlines, and causes more rage, than the on going and intentional killing of so many Israeli civilians targeted in terrorist attacks along this entire war. I can't remember the world even addressing it, let alone raging about how unacceptable these killings are, and how they're proof that Palestinian terrorist organizations must be stopped. For that matter, I haven't come across anywhere as many headlines and world leaders' statements about an intentional drone attack that killed several rescue workers in Kharkiv, where a residential area was targeted. The hyperfocus on the one conflict where Jews can be demonized, is also leaving a lot less attention for, practical aid, and just general caring about other conflicts, which are in many ways far worse (just look at Tigray alone on the below map). It's harmful to so many more people than we come close to realizing.

Things that boggle my mind:
How Hamas bodycam and live stream footage is considered Israeli propaganda
Why those who celebrated what happened are also denying it happened
Any images and videos from Oct 7th is immediately called fake and Israeli propaganda
How people will still claim that Jews..oh sorry Zionists control the media and governments yet the media and governments are constantly condemning or spreading misinformation about Israel
How fast people will use photos from Syria to claim it's Gaza
How no one actually does any digging and research into what they see and immediately believe it as fact
The revisionism of history, including claims that Jews lived peacefully with Muslims in the MENA ignoring the fact that Jews were forced to pay a protection tax (Dhimmi) and could not be above Muslims in any way, often stripping them of their Jewish identities and the violence that occurred before the establishment of Israel
How the Left will immediately retweet and share screenshots of literal white supremacists because it's against "Israel" even though they are mainly extremely false or full of hate
How promoting the boycott of Jewish businesses, even ones owned by Israelis who have nothing to do with the government is not considered antisemitic (according to the Left)
And while promoting BDS, they still use Israeli and Jewish products, technology, medication, etc
How what Hamas did is still being considered by the Left as "freedom fighting"
How literally none of my Leftie goy friends posted any support for Israel and the Jewish people but will scream ceasefire
How people scream ceasefire and don't mention the hostages
How quick people were able to forget or brush off the atrocities of Oct 7th
How Hamas' literal war crimes are not being mentioned or condemned by the UN, WHO, etc but these organizations are so quick to throw Israel under the bus and scream war crimes when the retaliation and ways of retaliation are adhering to international law
How corrupt the UN is. How can you let Iran be on your Human Rights council and still be seen as legitimate? How can you turn a blind eye to your schools and hospitals being used by Hamas for firing rockets and teaching children that their only purpose in life is to kill Jews and be martyred?
How no one, including the media (besides Israeli Media) talks about the continuous rocket attacks done by Hamas and the PIJ since Oct 7th which is aimed at targeting civilians (also a war crime).
How ripping down posters, even smearing dog shit onto posters of hostages, especially children is considered ok and an act of protesting
How Jews are told to hide their identities, not wave their flags, literally just not exist around the pro Hamas, sorry pro Palestinian crowds due to safety concerns or a risk of upsetting the protesters
How the people claiming to care for Palestinians don't speak up about the conditions Hamas keeps their people under in Gaza, executing them for speaking out, stealing aid supplies and money, how their leaders are worth billions and reside in Qatar while they tell their people to be martyrs for the cause
Kapos... I don't understand the anti-Zionist Jews to be honest. Especially seeing how they help spread misinformation and support those who want to kill them.
How targeting Jewish social media creators, especially those who are Orthodox, and making videos to smear them and encourage harassment because they are Jewish, spoke out about what happened on Oct 7, and support Israel is seen as ok... trying to destroy their livelihood, their mental health, and even threaten their lives.
How organizations like JVP, INN, etc are not being investigated in regards to their legitimacy
How indigenous people in the West are being tokenized and allowing it to happen, not researching history to see that the Jewish people are actually indigenous to the land and are an example of decolonization
That there are politicians who refuse to condemn Hamas but are not being investigated even though there have been proof of ties to Hamas
There are so many videos of Imams around the world preaching to kill Jews and if you call it out you're Islamophobic
The silence from women, especially those in the MeToo movement and UN Women organization in regards to the rape of Israeli women during Oct 7th
How people misread a headline regarding babies being decapitated and somehow blame Israel for saying 40 babies were beheaded when that is not what the reporter said at all
People saying that everything Israel has said about the attacks has been proven to be a lie yet refuse to provide any sources and if they do provide a source it's usually from Quds, Al Jazeera, or Electronic Intifada
Speaking of Intifada, how the Left will proudly shout for an Intifada without knowing what it is or what happened during the 1st and 2nd Intifadas
How the words Genocide, Ethnically Cleansing, Apartheid, and War Crimes have become buzzwords that have lost all meaning since they are so often used incorrectly
How watermelons have been ruined for me because now every time I see even the emoji I think about how people use it to promote a Jewish genocide
How people will post onto social media very antisemitic crap but if you call them out, try to educate, or post anything relating to Israel it is removed by the platform for violating some kind of imaginary rules. Saying death to Jews is ok but calling them out on it is not?
That people don't understand this wasn't a war we wanted to fight but were forced into it
That Israelis are not the government and we are not Bibi
How people will use Ethiopian Jews as a "gotcha" but when Ethiopian Jews call them out on tokenizing them and to STFU they are Israeli propagandist
That apparently I am a paid by Israel to engage in combatting disinformation....still waiting on that check because I could desperately use the money
People saying Jews are wealthy with privilege. I grew up a poor Jew and I'm still a poor Jew, my bank account is crying, again I'm waiting on that Israeli check lol
How people are calling Jews white supremacist oppressors....huh?
How the LGBTQ+ crowd are openly participating in calls for a genocide to the Jews and to eliminate Israel, even though it's the only country in the Middle East they can be openly themselves in
How Hamas top leaders openly talk about their desires, their plans, and how they mistreat their people in their goal to kill Jews, and how they have the Left on their side and brag about it but when posting those interviews it's considered Israeli Propaganda
How people are telling Jews to leave Israel...telling them to go back to Europe even though a majority of Jews in Israel are from MENA countries that forced them to flee, taking their property, money, valuables, documents. And when confronted about this, they say they can go back to Iraq, Iran, Yemen.... showing how dumb they really are. Also considering a lot of Israelis ages newborn to 40 are a mix. For example, my husband is Mizrahi and Ashkenazi, where is he supposed to go and our children? These countries are unsafe for Jews and we refuse to go back to Dhimmi status
How people ignore and or support that there are so many Islamic countries but a tiny Jewish one is seen as a threat... that a Jewish country is not allowed or is "racist", but the Islamic majority countries are ok? Even Christian ones?
Honestly just how stupid people are, how the same people who call themselves free thinkers aren't at all. How the same people who chanted to punch a Nazi are participating in Nazi like behaviors. The same people who said they would hide Jews during the Holocaust are the same ones participating in the rounding up of Jews.
I have so many more thoughts and I needed to vent it out. I remember my grandmother, who was able to escape the camps as a child because her parents had her baptized and sent off with other children, feared that another Holocaust would happen. That so many older Jews, especially Israelis, have an emergency pack in case they had to flee... cash, valuables, documents, family heirlooms all hidden in a secure spot just in case.
