Q Lazzarus, “Goodbye Horses” (1987)
The music video for “Goodbye Horses” relies heavily on occult themes and dreamlike imagery to match the esoteric nature of the songs’ lyrics. In 2017, the video was finally released to the public via YouTube to accompany the re-release of Lazzarus’ music on Spotify.
In 2018, the true identity of Q Lazzarus was revealed to be a Staten Island woman named Diane Luckey, a bus driver who had retired from the music industry in 1996. While she appreciated the new-found interest in her former music career, she preferred to keep a low-profile and live a life without much attention.
Luckey passed away on July 19, 2022 at the age of 61 from an undisclosed illness. A documentary about Luckey's life, which began production in 2019, is set to be released later in 2023.

the thing i enjoy most about goth club nights is dancing with strangers. it’s genuinely such an amazing experience to just be able to go up to a random person and then dance together, no conversation needed.

The chorus of this song is a reference to the Hindu text Bhagavad Gita, in which the five horses that pull Krishna and Pandava prince Arjuna's chariot, are symbols of the five senses. These five senses keep us tied to the physical/material plane of existence. When you can transcend the limitations of these senses and achieve a higher level of consciousness, you are leaving the "horses" behind - "flying over them." The song is about someone who was so affected by (A loss? A breakup?) they decide to give up the things that keep them tied to this world by emotion. x

Aren't I smelly?
I'm over here playing Q Lazzarus~goodbye horses on every available touchtunes jukebox in the area. If! However, someone had a running Playlist I would fastness with Yes~the revealing science of God. Which is a 20 min song. And it costs the same as a 3 min long song. Fast passing it only seems the correct amount. 10 min from now someone is wondering what the fuck is this prog Rock shit still playing. Hopefully. I mean I just spent 9 dollars to insinuate myself into an atmosphere with the intention of mischief. It was done to stir the pot, churn the waters, change an awareness if only for a second.
This I assume was the true intention of the jukebox app. Let people song bomb an area for fun and reap the profits.
