Aci i am looking 👀 at the avatar au u say about 👀

👀 Imagine... for some reason, the world is in disarray. The four nations are divided, not by like war but by like geography and just general isolationism (including the north and south tribes of the water nation from each other). Scar is just your run of the mill water tribe kid, never showed any signs of having any other element. And he grew up with bestie Cub, the two of them having been raised by the village elders after Something™ happened to each of their parents. And they've grown up into fine waterbenders, but have never had any reason to even want to leave, knowing nothing about the outside world.

Grian, an airbender, decides to go searching for the avatar for... reasons... watcher reasons... and crashlands in the south pole, where he's found and rescued by Scar and Cub. He doesn't realize Scar is the avatar for like half a day, thinking he's just some waterbender, but something happens that makes him realize and he confronts Scar about how he's not "doing his job" and reuniting the nations and all that stuff, to which he just gets confused staring and has that Oh Shit moment of realizing Scar doesn't know. How a man can go 20+ years without knowing he's the avatar, well, Grian certainly doesn't know, but whatever the watchers are planning Grian's purpose is won't be successful if Scar can't use the other elements. He manages to convince Scar to go traveling the world with him, telling him stories about the world outside the water tribe. Unfortunately Grian wasn't counting on Cub tagging along...

Mumbo as a nonbending citizen of the fire nation, him relying on technology and inventing all these really cool things... but still being overlooked bc he's a nonbender in a family of benders... wanting to prove something to the world (and himself), so when Grian, Scar and Cub stumble into his little town and get to know him, and they offer him (against Grian's protests) to come see the world with them... well, who is he to say no to that? It's not like his rich bending family would even notice he's gone... right? He'll just take his tools and his blueprints and go on the greatest adventure of his life and maybe accidentally get dragged into whatever Grian's planning...

Cleo as a master firebender, participating in underground firebending rings as the undefeated champion... secretly like the cousin of the crown prince(ss) or something, so fucking bored of palace life... just wanting a little more out of life than what she has... stumbling across the others and quickly figuring out Scar is the avatar... coyly blackmailing them into letting them join... "Oh, no, yeah, that's fine. I mean, sure, if I stay in town I might slip up and tell someone very official that the avatar has been found, but yeah- go ahead, it'll be fine. I'll just be here, alright? Talking in these... very official circles, drinking some very good drinks- well, who knows what might slip, but it's okay, everything is fine- oh, what's that? You want me to come with you? Well, I don't know... hmm, alright then." :)

BDubs as an earth bender who loves to garden... living in a communal home with Ren, Etho and Martyn (earthbender, nonbender, nonbender),... Scar accidentally destroying his garden beyond like any chance of recovery, and BDubs dragging his roomies/boyfriend(s) into basically following Scar & Co. to try and "make them pay" for destroying his garden and ending up saving them... becoming friends with them.... (getting a certain firebender's attention ofc bc I'm me...)

Just 👀 Picture it. It's just a giant messy roadtrip story where nothing bad happens at all, all sunshine and roses yep, definitely no airbending cult extremists manipulating and pulling Grian's strings at all, absolutely no need for terrible realizations and feelings of betrayal and redemption and Grian having to make a choice between the family he'd always known and the family and the men he'd come to love no siree

For you purp anon,  something that isn’t an abandoned WIP, but rather one I have put on pause to focus on other projects. Here is part of the opening of my Kingdom of Boatem AU.

It was just after the sixth new moon of the twenty-second year of Scar’s life when he heard the news that Queen Antonaia of Boatem, her husband, and her eldest son had perished in a tragic airship accident. A mere three days later Scar was loaded into a carriage alongside all of his belongings, set to go to Boatem.

The late Queen had had three children, of which two now remained. Prince Mumbo, and young Princess Pearl.

No, not Prince Mumbo. Crown Prince Mumbo, incumbent ruler of Boatem.

Scar knew with certainty that by the time he and his entourage had completed the month-long journey to Boatem, he would be addressing the man as King. He might have made it to the coronation had he travelled by airship, but in present circumstances that did not seem wise.

Scar had met Mumbo only twice, and he only recalled the latter of the two. They had both been teenagers still. The Prince had seemed quite shy to Scar, barely speaking a word the entire day. Scar had thought then that perhaps that was for the best - his stepmother always told him off for talking so much, but would that not fit the much more quiet Prince Mumbo perfectly?

The other time they had met Scar had been a mere four years old, Prince Mumbo only three. It had been the day the two of them became officially betrothed, set to be married when Scar reached his twenty-sixth year - Or earlier, should circumstance dictate.

[H]is carriage finally approached the royal Palace of Boatem, which perched at the very top of one of the many mountains scattered across the region.

The long trip had left him tired to the bone, and he was oddly grateful to see such a small reception waiting for him. He had feared that the whole court would be here to greet their new… whatever his title would be.

Apart from the guards, of which there was an abundance, Scar counted only seven people waiting at the foot of the grand staircase.

Two men stood in the front, one half a step ahead of the other.

He was tall, thought Scar. Much taller than last time.

It was, perhaps, exaggerated by the winged man next to him being so short of stature, but even so, Scar was certain that his betrothed would stand taller than him, an impressive feat given that elves were generally taller than most other races.

Scar easily recognised the crown on his betrothed’s head as the royal crown of Boatem. He had missed the coronation, then. As he neared he could make out what looked like a modified guard’s uniform on the man next to King Mumbo. A bodyguard, probably, Scar decided. It made sense, with three members of the royal family having perished so recently.

“Here we go, Jellie,” he murmured, giving her one last stroke on the head for good luck. “You be nice to whoever shows you to our rooms, you hear me? We want to make a good impression.”

Jellie simply yawned in response, curling up in her seat.

“I’ll take that as a yes,” Scar sighed as the carriage pulled to a stop.

wait what happened with Hannah today?

(if someone knows better please correct me if I have anything wrong bc most of what I saw was either this morning's priv tweets or stuff from my rosetwt friend)

she and sylvee had watched some random bedwars creator's video and really liked it, they ended up recommending his channel and telling people to go subscribe to him. then she saw that he had ranked her really low on a tierlist about fanbases because she apparently uses both her mouse buttons when pvping and plays with tons of pearls (which ??? I've seen gb80 and purp do that shit but Ok) and she took the opportunity to say that people in the pvp/bedwars community are oftentimes so within their bubble that they don't realize that bedwars content isn't nearly as big as it used to be, and then she jokingly said that the channel was shitty. IMMEDIATELY she turned around and said that might've been too mean, and then moved on!

between then and her most recent priv tweet is something I'm not too clear on, but he made a video saying that hannah had called him a misogynist and sent her fanbase after him. he spends maybe 20 seconds of the 7 minute video on valid criticisms—streaming his video instead of redirecting people to it—and then the rest either underhandedly insulting her (ie wow her audience is huge because she was on the dream smp and her most recent video has Dream in it Like listen to yourself bud). She made a few private tweets about it, not mentioning the guy by name and thus avoiding sending people after him directly, but there's quite a few people on twitter or even his video's comments saying that she overreacted or that she's pathetic for taking offense to the video even though he clipped her stream perfectly to make her seem really bad and also included a clip of her YEARS ago saying the r word à la phil and the sbi cancellation thread.

anyways she deleted all her tweets about it and all that's left are vagueposts from fans 👍

#anywyas I think the guy did have *some* valid criticisms but the way he went about 'responding' is incredibly immature #and the hy.pixel competitive community seems to enjoy gelling behind him instead of listening to hannah's criticism #aka she's getting the dream treatment from hy.pixel fans and the bw community which is wild she's been such a light in it #like I said I watched a lot of bw content I'm a massive gb80 and purp fan to the point where I've seen most of their content #and I loved seeing Hannah around bc she was like a role model in the heavily male pvp/competitive scene #like it's never truly a safe space for girls on there but she and astelic really carried the torch <3 #anyways yeah it's not going to blow up into something huge idt but it's annoying to see her get dogpiled for essentially nothing #lyss answers #anon tag #discourse

I'M PRETTY SURE ETHO EVEN SAID AS MUCH.... I'm like 99.9% sure etho had even said that he should've given bdubs the life before he went, but cleo said that he shouldn't have.

but god the guilt he must have felt. in a way, bdubs life was in his hands. and he let bdubs die. and the worst part is, he avoid bringing bdubs up as much as possible afterwards. he calls their snowfort his base. and mentions having a lot of good memories there but we as the viewers aren't privy to what memories he's talking about.

he tries to win it all for bdubs, he really, really does. but in the end he wasn't able to. and he apologizes to him, says sorry for not being able to win.

etho absolutely carries that guilt until the very end, and just for my own sake, I think he carries a piece of bdubs with him as well. whether it be part of his moss coat or maybe even a clock. obviously no one else knows about it, or even sees it. that's something that etho doesn't allow anyone else to see; a piece of bdubs meant for him and only him. no one else. this game has already seen so much of them. so etho will keep his memories and anything else of bdubs close to his chest, for himself alone.

Bdubs took a deep breath. The cool chainmail of his half veil was like holding a glacier to the dark hickey on his neck, partially concealed by his coat. His robe. His moss. He was, alarmingly, unable to tell if it was a fashion piece or a part of him anymore. The hallways echoed under his feet. The servants of the Crastle were all asleep, which was good for him. It wasn’t like his relationship with the king was some big secret – he wasn’t Martyn, but he didn’t want to deal with the looks he got when there was a clear and visible marking of it.

The door to his bedroom greeted him with a creak on its hinges and he sighed, gazing at them. It felt like the whole thing was starting to come apart already. As he brought his gaze back to the foreground, he was not surprised to find Etho lounging in the armchair by his fireplace. Bdubs had chosen that armchair specifically for him. The door creaked again on its way to shut behind him and he made his way over, throwing himself over top of where Etho was writing. Or drawing. Bdubs liked to call it doodling and Etho liked to call it schematics.

“The king done with you for the day?” Etho asked, leaning down to kiss Bdubs through his mask. Bdubs pouted, but he noticed Etho’s eyes were on a different part of the room. When he followed, he noticed Cleo laid out on his bed, waiting for him to turn his attention to them.

“Took you long enough to figure out I was here,” they said. Bdubs squawked and fumbled his way from Etho’s lap, straightening out his clothes as he came to a stop. No matter how long the three of them had been at this game, Bdubs would never get used to both their attentions being on him.

Bdubs was very certain of his relationships – Cleo, Etho, Ren, Impulse – very certain indeed. And he knew whatever Ren and Cleo had going on was not romantic in the slightest. It was more like watching a cat play with a meal before letting it go again. Impulse was, for obvious reasons, not connected with the people in the Crastle, and some part of Bdubs stomach always twisted a little when he thought of how Ren might react to that. Whatever Etho and Cleo had going on, however, was a mystery to him. He could never tell if they were rivals, opposite suitors, or maybe even just…bashful about one another. He never saw them so much as hold hands, but both of them assured him they were ‘more than just friends’. Whatever that meant to them, Bdubs had no clue.

“Warn a guy if you’re going to both camp out in his bedroom!” he shouted, stomping where he stood. The dual laughter made his cheeks heat up and his face crinkle a bit.

“’Your most private of areas’ as I think Ren’s taken to calling it?” Cleo said with a laugh.     They sat up on the bed and crossed their legs. “I wasn’t planning on staying long anyway. Got statues to build, raw meat to eat for dinner.”

Bdubs still sputtered regardless and crossed his arms, turning away from both of them. Cleo snorted and that was a lovely noise, frankly.

“Cleo and I were just talking about some defensive plans for the Crastle, actually,” Etho said, picking up his pen from his notebook and stashing both away.

“Since when do you care about the Crastle?” Bdubs asked.

“Since always,” came Etho’s smooth reply, though there was a look in his eyes. Impulse. Cleo didn’t know about Impulse either.

The two of them were quiet for long enough that Cleo scoffed to get their attention. “If the two of you are done making heart eyes and drooling over each other,” they said, finally rising from the bed. In a few steps, they made their way to Bdubs, Standing over him well enough to use him as an arm rest. They didn’t, this time, but they did lean down and, arms wrapped around his neck and shoulders, kiss his cheek. “I’ll be going now. Good night Bdubs, Etho,” they said, before limbering out of the room.

Tho for leaf anon, since CSP is paid, I recommend using Medibang since that is not only free but almost similar to CSP. It's a good starter program to use for drawing for the new digital artist! :D Plus, medibang is also on Android if ya wanna draw on ur phone :D I know bc I used to draw on my phone like back in 2016 wjdjsj

ooooh thank you for the follow up info!! Yeah, if you're using csp for Mac or windows, I believe you can purchase it with a single payment (as far as I know, $50), but if you're using it on ipad, you have to use the subscription service ($25 a year for the base version of csp. If you want unlimited animation, the upgraded version I believe it's a good bit more expensive!)

While I think he could be balanced with them bc he’s new, if they commit to having prod on their team he’d sweat it and get good 😭 his base skill is way higher than I’m making it out to be and idek who else would be willing to fourth that team tbh LOL
