Undertale and the golden age of webcomics
Something I never see talked about and honestly reasonably so, but still makes me sad are the people besides Toby and Temmie that worked on Undertale and how it was a snap shot in the golden age of webcomics
Toby being heavily part of the webcomic scene with his involvement in homestuck likely leading him to be in contact with:
Gigi DG:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
 Michelle Fus (aka Tiny Paint):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
J.N. Wiedle:
Tumblr media
They helped design Undyne’s outfits but Sans and Papyrus are literally direct references to the main in their skeleton comic whos named after a font
Magnolia Porter:
Tumblr media
was an assistant monster designer
btw this is an incomplete list of the developers and even ones with their own personal webcomics these were  just some of the ones I held close to my heart

This isn't perfect but I wanted to experiment with a sort of memory collage of different drawings. What do you think, is it alright even though I couldn't fit a picture into every section?

wip game
thank you for the tag @ethereal-night-fairy ! np tags: @dotcie @snail-eggs @skinnyazn @alittleposhtoad @50cal-fullauto-astarion @lunarvicar @siriusleee @parttimeprophet
Rules: in a new post, post the names of all the files in your wip folder regardless of how nondescript or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them and then post a little snippet and tell us about it!
i have way too many wips, so here are the top 5 that are most likely to see the light of day relatively soon(ish):
➜ jjk — illusion (itafushi); tnp: i (gojohime)
➜ cod — thtd: iii (ghost); unearth: v (keegan); pulse: iv (gaz)
illusion (megumi x yuji)
current status: 1.8k words written; expecting 1k+ more words
Megumi shook away the mental image of his wide-eyed, grim-faced classmate. Neither his thoughts nor fears were of consequence at present, and it was not as if he had time to spare on regretting the past. Itadori would need all the help he could get, and Megumi refused to be a bystander to his death. Not again.
‘til my pulse loses time: iv/v (gaz x medic f!reader)
current status: 200 words written; expecting 1.5-2k+ more words
As a medic, you could only do so much. Many factors that would ultimately decide whether a patient lived or died were simply beyond your sphere of influence. Stitching together sliced skin, surgically removing bullets from traumatized flesh, administering first aid in the field—all within your skill range. Hell, even resuscitating a still-warm, newly-dead body was possible on special occasions. But you were neither God nor Death, so you could neither breathe life into the corpse of a friend, nor could you hold a scalpel to the jugular of a foe. These mortal limitations weren’t to blame for the horrors that unfolded during the coming hours, however.
unearth without a name: v/v (keegan x brainwashed f!reader)
current status: 100 words written; expecting 2-2.5k+ more words
Two hundred seven. That was the number of days currently separating him from the moment he had last seen you.
the nightmare pact: i/v (gojo x utahime)
current status: 2.7k words written; expecting 3.5-4k more words
Too late to turn back now, she thought with a resigned sigh. Still, part of her almost wished she could. Rght when she was about to do just that, an aggravating voice pierced the air. “Don’t just stand there, Utahime, I can hear those old joints of yours cryin’ out from all the way back here!” For the second time that day, Gojo made her left eye twitch.
that human, that demon: iii (ghost x f!reader)
current status: 9.1k words written; expecting 2.5-5k+ more words
“Your wrist control’s shit, and you failed to pass guard four times.” Ghost’s tone was neutral, betrayed nothing, and his body didn’t so much as move an inch from where he’d been spectating the match. “I’m almost impressed.” A snort. “Haud yer wheesht.” “English, MacTavish.” “Y’sure know how to make a man feel special, eh, Lt.?” “Special? Might be time for a career change,” the lieutenant mused, his banter as dry as his. . . everything else. “No one’s special in our line o’ work, Johnny.”

thots on Japannoise (please ignore the GeroGeriGegege album that I'm listening to right now)?
I'm not as knowledgeable about gerogerigegege as I'd like to be, which is kind of funny given how familiar I am with boris, and through boris, merzbow
as someone who's into black metal, a lot of japannoise winds up in my playlists, even if I'm a fairly casual fan. I can't help loving fucked up frequencies, unique sounds, and aggressive noisemaking
so I wouldn't really consider myself a "noise fan" or even a "noise listener" by most standards -- I couldn't really hold a conversation on the topic -- but I've always enjoyed japannoise when I set aside time for it

some of pulse's wildlife, as well as the self titled "God" of heaven
info below for those curious
Panoptes, a large scale creature found all over Pulse. Only one is spotted at a time, and when spotted it brings misfortune to those witnessing it. It's coloration resembles that of many species found around Death Gates, leading scholars to believe it comes from beyond the veil. Any attempts to capture them for study results in cataclysmic failure ranging from natural disasters to sudden death of those involved.
God. [ This information was removed by Haven's Vicars.]
River King, a small sized creature from Pulse's many rivers. A highly prideful species that thrives off of attention from other species as well as it's own. They mainly feed off of fish and other smaller species of crustaceans found in their environment. They get incredibly sad when they feel ignored, and reward the praise and kindness of others through the gifting of pearl bearing clams.
Pneuma Jelly, sometimes called Jellies or Id, a highly varied species found all over Pulse. They are born from the excess energy from the planet and are an incredibly friendly creatures that are seen as a pet by many. Their temperament is typically docile and they show a slightly higher intelligence than your common animal, even forming villages in the wild.

MIXTAPE // pov: midvalley the hornfreak is killing you
this was supposed to be a joke but unfortunately I just really love harsh experimental noise jazz that sounds like an evil saxophone man is murdering you. Too Kinky To Torture except it's "Midvalley gets really uncomfortable with how relaxed I am and stops trying to murder me because I made it too weird". anyway this is my magnum opus mixtape. work in progress.

A little detail they sadly didn't include in the Demon Slayer Anime: the pulsing of the veins in Gyuutarou's sickles.
