okay I cave. I thought about it too much and now it's a post. this one's for @ilovedthestars and @needlesandnilbogs

risk assessment module's tumblr url is accounting-for-competency and it reblogs parkour and martial arts videos, speed runs, no-hit/perfect boss fights, and fight scene gifsets from media.

in the tags it always manages to notice and appropriately compliment a very specific technique the person is using in order to protect themselves/be safe

occasionally it will also do deep in-depth analysis posts of the choreography of a fight scene from one of murderbot's serials. how the moves would work in reality, how the film translates a real move/technique so its more dramatic and visual appealing, and also the skillset/movie magic behind keeping stunt actors safe.

threat assessment module doesn't have a tumblr but risk assessment sends it links to posts about how to relax, detox its mind, meditate, or plane-shift.

"it's medicinal, y'know. for the stick up your ass."

education module just reblogs interesting facts, but always reblogs them with a reliable source link if the original post doesn't have one. it's favourite facts are about weird alien fauna and space station physics.

risk assessment convinced it to make it's url "pieceofcrap" because that's what Murderbot calls it. it kinda wants to change it to something more "professional" but is also weirdly attached to it, so it won't.

language module's url is too-many-human-words and most of what it reblogs is to do with translations of media. analyses of translations of poetry, books, and manga. meta posts about subtitles. those posts that are just people trying to explain words that don't have direct translations into other languages.

it also really likes those posts that are like... a bunch of curated screenshots of internet posts, famous quotes, and lines from poetry or books or shows, all put together cus they're vaguely about the same thing or attempting to describe the same feeling. it likes how humans find so many ways to say the same thing.

governor module does not have a tumblr but if it DID, it's url would be governor-931625384 or some shit like that. it's blog would be completely empty and uncustomised. the only thing it would use it for is searching for posts that violate tumblr's terms of service or community guidelines and DMing the poster directly to tell them which rules they've violated. it would get reported as a spam bot every time.

procedure module has a tumblr called apparently-a-panic-module that it uses like an actual personal blog, as in it posts it's random thoughts and stuff that it's done that day. also creates polls for the most out of left field stuff, including completely asinine decisions it has to make.

it reblogs how-to posts and recipes. it doesn't matter what they're for, just that they are a step-by-step guide on how to do something. in the tags it critiques the clarity and format.

it's by far the most active on tumblr out of all of them. it gets anon asks (mostly from the other modules) that are like "don't you have anything better to do" and it always just responds "no."

Tae continues by saying that it was a comparison, that he wants to be healthy and sturdy, without getting hurt. Jk, who attentively listens, quietly murmurs his response, “Just don’t get hurt.”

The members assure listeners they’ve prepared a lot of content. Tae equates it to a gift bundle, and he turns to Joon to confirm this. Joon smiles and quotes him, so Tae then turns to Jimin for confirmation, who laughs. Jk glances over and quietly affirms his comment, saying, “you’re right.” (someone else agrees after Jk but since so many people are talking, I’m sorry that I can’t discern who).

Tae leans forward further to better look at Jk and rhetorically ask again, “Right? We prepared so much as a gift bundle.” I found his body language interesting here. Jk was the first of the three members to audibly agree with him, and Tae had turned to him to solidify their mutual agreement on this topic. It’s a cute natural reaction.

Jimin jokes he’s using TaeTae language because he’s around Tae, to which Tae protests he’s fixed it. He explains there was a time when he’d get advice from his fellow BTS members because he didn’t feel like he spoke well, and he was anxious (had a high heart rate) due to this, but he’s fixed it now.

Jk compliments him, giving him assurance by saying he’s the best in talking. It should be noted that subtitles don’t pick up the translation very well. What Jk actually says, according to others on the timeline, and it’s super sweet, is, “hyungie is the best in talking.”

Tae confirms he’s enlisted in the Army Capital Defense Command’s Special Mission Unit (SDT or Special Forces). He applied during Layover promos (the first application period was August 31-Sept 6). According to naver_taehyung on Twitter, “The Special Task Force of the Capital Defense Command is an anti-terrorism unit and a special unit that subdues and arrests violent incidents. Counter-terrorism operations, security of key figures, arrest of violent military criminals, hostage rescue and relief activities It is said that they are made up of the most elite soldiers who undergo extremely intensive training. Those eligible to apply for special rentals are those aged between 18 and 28 years old, who have a physical level of 1 to 3 as a result of the military service examination, and the physical requirement is 168 cm or more. As Tae discusses that he has personal goals, and assures us he will come back healthily and to trust him, Jk quietly murmurs that he wants to join the special forces too (특전사). My understanding is because of his tattoos, he’s restricted on where he can go for basic. However, after basic, from what I’ve gathered Jk is eligible to apply for the SDT, if that’s something he’d like to pursue.

So close and so far at the same time. The capital of Portugal is today without a doubt the best place in all of Europe to see and listen to rock. Good venues for concerts, friendly people, excellent business professionals in a market five times smaller than ours, affordable prices and a most attractive and scoundrel city that keeps that old flavor under a galloping modernity that every day makes it more equal to the Europe of the euro. On top of the brilliant and fatalistic Pessoa in every corner of old Lisbon that he portrayed so well in his books. Good food, a lot to see and it’s next door.

Their latest album 'A Whole Lot of Nothing' is proof that they have brought their message very close to Rammstein, which a few times in the past opened for them when they climbed the charts. They must have treated them very well because now the Germans take them on tour whenever they can, and they are also generous in leaving them all the sound display that they later used. Of course not the pyrotechnic and light display; and therein lies the problem for the Clawfingers.

Because the most Rammstein staging teaches anyone. Good intentions, direct songs and the ordeal is clear is that they do not shrink and continue to make war.

Rammstein is the never seen. With one, if not the best, of the records of the year in their baggage and a lot of imagination, the sextet is a magnificent and impressive show both musically and visually. A lot of money and creativity at the service of a structure that is frightening due to the militaristic connotations of its clothes and postures. Together with the theatricality copied from the Catalans of the Fura del Baus, they create an explosive show where fire, a lot of fire, is also another great protagonist with distressing moments such as when in the first encore, with the theme 'Rammstein', the singer Till Lindemann remains in his burning suit for almost four minutes. The mastery of fire that these people have is incredible, forcing them to demonstrate all the fireworks to the government technicians before each performance. Seen and lived on stage, as I did, it scares a lot. As soon as the minutes allotted to the photographers were up, I ran off the stage as if the devil was chasing me, resembling a scene from 'Apocalypse Now'.

Eighteen songs as checkered as the hackneyed German mentality. It joins infernal industrial machinery that starts with 'Mein Herz brennt' from 'Mutter' to end with the version of Depeche Mode's 'Stripped'. Pure adrenaline that nails you to the ground while from all corners of the stage the fire is projected in a thousand ways (Valencians would have to wear them as stars of the next Fallas festivities) and they look like mutant beings out of a science-fiction movie to make an army of corpses dance. Nightmarish. Wagnerian music, in the classical sense, is like a single score with messianic choruses that tremble in the German language, giving that sinister theatricality that at times brings to mind the 'hail, Hitler' of the most sinister times in history, for course alien to the intentions of the group. The show could not be more heavy. They all form a mass in which no one goes off script and the solos are conspicuous by their absence, inheriting the old legacy of those pioneering German industrial metal bands such as Kraftwerk. Aware that they have made a great record with 'Mutter', they play a lot of it: 'Links 2, 3, 4', 'Feuer frei', 'Mutter', 'Ich will', 'Adios', 'Rein raus', ' Zwitter'… Almost the entire record falls. Moment of maximum intensity that is experienced when they download their great commercial hymn 'Du hast' and the staff bouncing like possessed. They connect with 'Buck dich' which includes the singer's little number hitting the keys from behind for a long time with a giant phallus that generously sprays liquid on those in the front rows. In the end, the drummer's ride in a rubber boat over the heads and arms of grief takes us back to the past because they copy it from what the American David Lee Roth did on his tours with a boat and a surfboard. The six say goodbye toasting with Champagne to the success of a party as brilliant as it is original. For the cretins who preach that rock is dying or that it has no way out, this is heaven open to a great future. The important thing is to squeeze the coconut to stand up to the owners of the circus, the Anglo-Saxons, who with projects like this it is not surprising that they feel threatened.

Because it's a country with a very large population, where it's not more or less a given that most people will learn English as a second language (unlike e.g. many western European countries), and unlike e.g. China they have access to YouTube.

Frankly I think this is kind of a dick move on Tom's part - his unwillingness to accept this even from people who would do it for free deprives millions of people of access to his content. I know he's said he's worried about people misrepresenting their skill level or their intent and providing him with poor quality product, but that seems like the kind of thing that could be solved by either hiring a professional service like he does for subs, or accepting offers from a few volunteers in the same language and having them check each other's work. As uptight as he is about English subtitles, it's bizarre that he seems to be very averse to pursuing doable solutions for any foreign language.

However, if the message has to be posted in a language other than English for the translator to understand it, one has to wonder if they're really the best one for the job...!

Never watched professional wrestling but your recent "roman reigns" posts intrigue me and I wonder what a good way is to access wrestling shows - preferably, if possible, with subtitles included?

so unfortunately in terms of subtitles i think only the wwe network streaming service (or peacock if you're in the us) has them, if you're willing to drop money to access the subbed version? otherwise i either torrent or use this website which has a lot of wwe and aew content. for reference, wwe and aew are different wrestling companies with different storylines and characters--though a lot of wrestlers have jumped between the two (such a cody rhodes being a founding aew member and returning to wwe, and dean ambrose leaving wwe for aew under the name john moxley).

if you're curious specifically about roman reigns and the bloodline storyline that i keep ranting about, then this video is a very good introduction to his early career and how it all fed into what eventually became the bloodline storyline. it's what got me from vaguely interested in wrestling to jumping full in.

in the case of the bloodline, since the youtube wwe clips weren't v clear and only like--clips--i essentially followed the bloodline wiki page to find every smackdown and pay-per-view match date that was relevant to the story and i'm still catching up on many of them. there are a few summaries on youtube but they're not that detailed and the fact is, the storyline is still ongoing and might still be for a while (though i think roman's central role is winding down, especially with smackdown having planned a "trial" for him this friday). i'm thinking of doing a guide at some point bc you're not the only one to ask me about wrestling (i am still brand new at wrestling!!! there's so much stuff and content and so many storylines that i have no idea about!!!!!) or about the roman reigns and bloodline stories haha but we'll see. i'm also thinking of doing a big watch night for people who are interested in the biggest bloodline matches and moments, such as jey vs roman hell in a cell, or sami vs roman elimination chamber :] if you're interested def hit me up!
