I originally remember hearing this track on @kerrangtv when I was 14 and it’s on and off stuck with me ever since.

I’m 25 now. I feel old with the excitable brain of a 14 year old when I’m doing what I love.

I can’t get back to sleep. Again. I’ve started to accept this and run with it now. I sleep when I sleep, I guess.

Here’s another block of too many #selfies in a mildly justified #selfiemontage taken earlier at a time that isn’t 4am on Sunday morning.

I’m going to try and avoid doing this from now on. Boredom happens unfortunately. Hopefully, I will take my next real self-portrait early in 2016 when I - again, hopefully - will be with @canonuk DSLR again and a significantly better model than what I owned and borrowed in the past.

The accessibility of phone cameras has made all this easier, but I’m trying my damnedest to use it as little as possible. Being a Videographer and Stills Photographer without the real tools always feels like losing an arm to be quite honest with you.

There are several factors that will affect how quickly I can start creating work to the full standards I am capable of at this moment in time. It has been my main cause of stress in recent times, too, though I’ve made myself too busy to think about it... until now it seems! Such is life.

Firstly, my brain is beginning to melt from all the ideas I’ve accumulated over the past 3 years leading up to this rebranding and representation. I am a woman who personally is not a fan of make-up. I’m a skeptic.

Why are we pretending to be someone we’re not? Why are we enhancing what we already have physically when it is actually the inside of ourselves that should matter most in life?

It doesn’t matter how low self-esteem you have: make-up doesn’t fix that. Of course there’s the placebo effect of feeling better after make-up is applied, but does that feeling due to emotions regarding make-up last throughout the whole day or night? I guarantee not. I imagine it will be the times you had in company you remember most rather than the odd compliment you may have got here and there.

Make-up doesn’t make us happier. In my opinion, it’s about the lie - the mask of beauty - when what should matter is the inner-beauty! Can you say hand on heart that you are a good person? That’s the real question we should be asking ourselves instead of applying Far. Too. Much. Make-up.

This must be what they call ‘Golden Hour’ - the time of day when the sun is at its highest. It’s my second favourite time of day after dusk. I am more of a night owl after all.

Natural light will always triumph over any amount of artificial light in my opinion. It doesn’t matter how much money you paid on the most expensive and exclusive lighting rigs; what matters is how resourceful you are with what you have at your disposal (whether that’s equipment, props, etc).

All flashy equipment does is make life easier. Making life easier is not always how the best films, videos or visuals are created. Sometimes the happy accidents make all the difference.
