Hii☺️! I wanted to ask if you could make a post about what made you like Kawaki x Sarada, i'm also a fan and it would be nice to see what made another fan like them. Thanks in advance!

Well tbh it'd be a very long post if I were to go really full in depth on why I like the pair so I'll try to summarize as much as I can.

For starters I like that their dynamic is one of equals, Kawaki treats Sarada no different than he does Boruto or Mitsuki, for context, refer to chapter 58 which everyone uses against the ship but actually it showed one of the best aspects of Kawaki and Sarada's relationship

Kawaki doesnt look down on Sarada at all, he doesnt view her as incapable of fending for herself or as some weak damsel that needs protecting, no, he attacked her with the same energy as he did Mitsuki, and Sarada fought back to put Kawaki in his place.

Ppl view this as toxic, but in all honesty this was just two teammates having a heated disagreement who decided to mutually battle it out to settle it. These ppl are ninja/fighters, this is not Kawaki attacking some defenseless civilian or vice versa, but an EQUAL adversary with combat experience just like him.

Compare that to how Boruto treats Sarada in this moment and you'll get a clear idea of why alot of ppl prefer Kawaki and even Mitsuki >>

Boruto immediately jumps in to protect her, assuming Sarada couldnt defend herself and that Kawaki actually would do something as stupid as severely hurt or even kill Sarada in broad daylight infront of them AND Naruto who he KNEW was watching them, meaning theres no way Boruto actually thought Kawaki would be that stupid, he just assumed Sarada couldnt handle it and instead needed to let HIM handle Kawaki instead because apparently shes incapable of getting her own squad in line.

This not only undermined Sarada as their captain, but also gives a clear insight on what their dynamic will be as Hokage as well. Boruto will ALWAYS come to her rescue not because he has to, but because he looks down on Sarada, he doesnt see her as an equal, he sees her as someone he has to protect, someone who should just 'let him handle it' and her just obediently stands back as he fights all her battles.

This pathetic dynamic between them continues even in TBV with him having been gone 3 years, he literally appears in the very first chapter doing the exact same thing hes always done, taking over her battle and telling her to let him handle it.

Theres is no equality there, Sarada has zero leadership when it comes to Boruto and instead just does whatever he tells her to do, so much so that he feels more like the captain and future Hokage than she does.

Kawaki gives Sarada no such treatment, in every encounter he and Sarada are on equal footing, she doesnt submit to him anymore than he does her, and Kawaki actually believes in Sarada's abilities and knows she can fend for herself, hes shown this in the Boro fight when he was willing to rely on her and her alone to find Boro's core and destroy it because he had faith in her sharingan, he also agreed with Mitsuki that she was the most suited to be captain and lead them.

You can argue that all 3 of them put their faith in Sarada, but Mitsuki was the one who suggested she be captain, and Kawaki was the first to agree that she gave them the highest chance of winning, the only one who complained was Boruto until he was outnumbered, which just furthers my point of how he perceives her.

Notice how this fight was heavily changed in the anime to make it seem like Boruto was the one who had the most faith in Sarada? when in the manga it was actually Kawaki and Mitsuki who did? yea, this is canon, that is SPs fanfiction, which turns out that ALOT of the anime only content and additions really are fanfics that the manga disregards entirely, so I'll keep my reasonings tied primarily to the manga.

Sarada doesnt clam up with Kawaki, she stands up to him, doesnt back down, she never submits to him and always stands her ground.

Again ppl take this as toxic, but in reality it shows just how much Sarada has her own autonomy when shes with him, something she loses entirely when in the presence of Boruto.

When Boruto tells Sarada to back off vs when Kawaki tells her to back off

The difference is night and day but lets move on

Another reason I like the ship is because she was his first friend, the first girl to witness his trauma, and the first one besides the Uzumaki fam to reach out to him despite all his rudeness toward her up till that point.

In the new Database Kawaki's favorite food is listed as being Taiyaki, which was introduced to him for the first time through Sarada, making Sarada the reason Kawaki discovered his favorite food, and not just that, the first time he actually got to CHOOSE what he wanted to eat. This is something reinforced by the anime as well, as Kawaki remembers Sarada's suggestion that day and decided to try it for himself this time.

I will reference the anime only for things that add up with the manga.

Whats special about this is that Sarada will always be connected to his favorite food, even more special in the anime because Kawaki had ate other food prior to first trying Taiyaki, and yet the one he decided was his favorite was the snack he tried through Sarada.

Their flower symbolism is also a huge reason I love the ship, Sarada being the Scarlet Spring and Kawaki being the Broken Vase could not be more poetic and something alot of the rival ships lack. For example KawaSara has what I mentioned, while BoruMitsu has the sun and moon, and BoruSumi has the violet flower Sumire's named after for her sincere feelings and Boruto as her savior.

Alot of ppl think BoruSara is the sun and moon which is...stupid but they base it on their doujutsu's which again is stupid because the sun does not apply to Sarada's character anymore than the moon does Boruto, that is literally Boruto and Mitsuki's symbolism, but the fact that they try to take that tells you that they dont really have any symbolism of their own, if they did they wouldnt need BoruMitsu's

The supporting shadow and Hokage also doesnt apply to them because its a dynamic shared between their fathers even before they existed, so its actually THEIR symbolism that once again that fandom tries to piggyback off of because again, they have no real symbolism of their own, they always have to steal or insert themselves into someone elses.

KawaSumi is no different, ppl try to make her somehow the water for Kawaki's dryness, or the water he lacked in his bamboo cup, the bamboo also being symbolic of Sumire in this scenario, and somehow they inserted Amado into this goofy theory as well.

Water has never been symbolic of Sumire, she just has water nature chakra, but its not an actual aspect of her character, no that has always been her name, the flower shes named after, Violet, which is hanakotoba means sincerity which applies to her character and her sincere feelings for Boruto. Her last name has been irrelevant in the grand scheme of things but yea, even her last name Kakei meaning bamboo has nothing to do with her overall character, she just took her mothers surname so she could infiltrate the village and thats as far as that went.

Now the biggest symbolism they try to claim is yin and yang, which in both match ups they have their placements wrong entirely, but because they have to FORCE this dynamic, because its a dynamic all the past pairings had, they try to FORCE them to fit where they dont belong because they know if it were actually accurate that their whole attempt would fall apart.

Basically they try to paint Boruto and Kawaki as yin and Sarada and Sumire as yang, sometimes Sarada as yang and Boruto as yin

This however is incorrect, and its incorrect intentionally because the truth debunks this entirely.

Boruto and Kawaki are canonically Yang and Yin, so their placements are set in stone, as for Sarada and Sumire? you need only look at the other yin and yang types to figure it out.

Sasuke is also yin, Sakura is yang, Naruto is yang, Hinata is yin, Shikamaru is yin, Temari is yang, Minato is yin, Kushina is yang, Ino is yang, Sai is yin

You get the picture, so who fits the mold? Sarada obviously fits yang, and Sumire obviously fits yin, and thats exactly why they avoid the truth in regards to this, because Kishimoto always had balance in his pairings, but with BoruSara and KawaSumi, it would be completely imbalanced with yang x yang and yin x yin.

So even the yin and yang symbolism is out for them, but not for KawaSara, not for BoruMitsu, and not for BoruSumi.

Anyway moving on I like the whole red flower symbolism they have going on for them as well, because Sarada is the scarlet spring, it is very fitting that their main flower symbolism is red carnations and red camelias, both of which symbolize love in hanakotoba, and we saw those red carnations placed in the vase that is symbolic of Kawaki's heart.

The symbolism is strong with them, it'd take too long to go into everything but to sum it up they are a very symbolic pair, which is why I prefer them over the other bland alternatives that really have nothing going for them other than again, taking what another ship has or fabricating symbolism when there is none.

Another reason I love the ship is because of its potential, instead of the dynamic with Boruto where Sarada will always stand back, the dynamic ppl THINK they have is actually between her and Kawaki. If and when Hokage, Kawaki would allow Sarada to shine on her own, to call her own shots, and he'll just support her, he'll help where she asks/needs and back off where she doesnt.

As for in the present I really saw alot of potential for their development over the 3 years without Boruto around to interfere, I thought there could've been alot of interesting conflict and development over that time but...unfortunately...seems like there was hardly anything which is disappointing.

There was a huge potential for Sarada to play dumb and pretend shes affected to have Kawaki let his guard down so she could stick close to him and gather whatever info she can from him, since her and Kawaki would be 'childhood friends' its not odd for her to ask personal questions, she could've asked how he felt about what Boruto did, how is he able to go through with killing his brother, isnt it hard on him having lost his family and his brother betray him etc after all they did for him

She could've gotten insight into his mindset, Kawaki could've expressed some remorse or sadness, could've vented to her like he did before, or maybe even show his frustration at her only caring about him right now because she thinks hes Boruto and wouldnt be reaching out to him right now otherwise. For example, a scenario this fanart was based off of.

There was potential for some real angst and internal conflict, Sarada trying to gain info out of Kawaki thinking the worst of him but realizing he actually wasnt being malicious and really does feel remorse for his actions but just genuinely believes this is the only way to protect everyone. There was also the potential conflict of Kawaki feeling totally isolated and alone, since the only ones who knew the truth would be him Ada and Daemon, and having Sarada be kind to him as her close friend when he knows [believes] she never would if she knew the truth could've been really interesting. Both of them struggling with this conflict between truth and lies could've been really interesting. Sarada and Kawaki both feeling guilty for the secrets that their keeping, but still pushing forward to do what they believe is right.

There was also the potential of Sarada not pretending to be affected, then there was potential to show some relief from Kawaki that there is atleast someone who still sees and remembers him for the real him, who still treats him as Kawaki and not Boruto. Over the years things would've obviously been heated and hostile between them, but I would imagine somewhere along the lines they could've become civil rivals.

Sarada would still oppose Kawaki, but she would atleast put aside their differences to deal with the current threats, and Kawaki would do the same.

I would've hoped that she and Kawaki had fought Code off multiple times over the years because chapter 80 ended on Code headed to Konoha to kill Boruto, who at the time still believed he was in the village, so it would've made sense that Code pulled up to the village, got beat by Kawaki and probably Daemon assisting while Sarada and co attended to the civilians safety and claw grimes, obviously being clear outmatched Code would retreat and try again another time, at some point he'd learn Boruto isnt in the village and would stop to go target him instead, until he eventually gets bored of chasing him down and comes back to Konoha again, where again I would've liked to see Sarada and Kawaki team up against Code to protect the village, especially now that 3 years had passed, Sarada has MS, Kawaki should be WAY more skilled with karma and Isshiki's abilities now, so it would've been cool to see them display their new power against Code and catch him off guard.

But nope, they didnt live up to any of that, not even close, and even now with Sarada on her way to help back up Kawaki and Delta we already know shes not being allowed to do anything and that Boruto will race right on back to protect them all again, its just so pathetic fr.

Regardless I still like them for what they COULD have been in the hands of a more competent writer.

Lastly ppl dont give this moment enough credit, but this was a HUGE thing for Sarada's character and her relationship with Kawaki

Keep in mind Sarada has known Boruto and Chocho since childhood, they are her BEST friends, her closest friends out of all her peers, and yet she has NEVER opened up to either of them about her feelings about her dad. In Gaiden Sarada literally hid her true intentions regarding her father from Chocho even tho she could've easily told her everything and Chocho would've backed her up but she didnt. Same for Boruto, you always see Sarada being considerate and looking out for Boruto's feelings about his dad, but you NEVER see him reciprocate that same consideration for Sarada, only in the anime/novel but NEVER in the manga, not even in the movie written entirely by Kishimoto do we see Boruto sympathize with Sarada at all, infact he just outright yells at her and only thinks about himself because his dad works too much, but he never once thinks about how Sarada feels not having her dad around at all growing up.

Sarada didnt feel she could confide in neither Boruto OR Chocho who were her two closest friends, but she opened up to Kawaki about something deeply personal to her that she NEVER did with anyone else, she even admits to being envious and resentful of Boruto who took what he had for granted, feelings she never would've had if he were actually reciprocating the same consideration about her dad as she did his.

This moment showed just how much she related to Kawaki, that finally she had found someone who understood, who felt the same way she did, who understood the same peace and solace that Naruto gave her in her darkest time, the confusion and heart ache she felt and how Naruto reached out to her even though he didnt have to, how he treated her as family even though she wasnt, how he gave her the love and affection she desperately craved but was lacking from her own father, Sarada UNDERSTOOD Kawaki because shes been where he is, and thats why she was able to open up to Kawaki in a way she never could anyone else.

Whats even more important about this moment is that Kawaki listens to her without saying a word but his expression speaks volumes, he looks at her which shows him really listening and taking in what she says, then he looks down with a pained expression as if her words really struck a cord with him, because he knows what shes talking about, he's felt it, and he's going through it now with Naruto gone.

Not only that, but the peace and comfort he received from Naruto was gone now and it was all his fault, now Kawaki is left behind powerless and helpless without Naruto to hold him and tell him it'll be ok this time, but Sarada fills that role this time instead by letting him know she understands and that he's not alone, both of them are suffering, both of them HAVE suffered before this, and both of them were saved by Naruto, and both resented Boruto for taking what he had for granted.

Ppl like to say that Sumire understands Kawaki because of those anime only moments, but as I said alot of the anime only stuff is essentially meaningless in regards to the manga as the manga doesnt acknowledge even half of the stuff that exists in the anime, so I will not be taking those episodes into account here because the manga completely contradicts them, also the episodes dont even show she understands him, all it shows is Sumire projecting her own experiences onto him and Kawaki telling her she doesnt know him and Sumire agreeing she doesnt but is trying to. I dont think it gets much clearer that she didnt and doesnt understand him.

Their conversation in the lab also didnt show she understood him, all she did was be nervous and repeat Narutos words, not relating to him personally with her own words, Kawaki did most of the talking himself, not really addressing Sumire directly but more so thinking out loud, then Sumire just adds her 2 cents about the obvious which is Amado being sus and wanting Kawaki to think that way.

There are way more reasons why I like the ship and way more detail but like I said I dont want this post to be super long so I'll leave it here, hope you got a pretty good enough idea of why I and many others like the ship, and why we dislike the others.

As someone who's been in the Naruhina fandom since before it was officially canon, how do we know which couple is likely to be endgame (despite all the misleading shenanigans that'll definitely happen to confuse viewers)? Do we need another Pain moment i.e Sumire (or Sarada..though I really hope NOT) attempting to sacrifice her life for Boruto? I feel like this is gonna be a LONG game of up and downs and Borusumi fandom might come to know exactly how it feels like to be a highly targeted group of shippers before The Last Movie came out

For me I see Boruto and Sumire's interactions as subtle hints they are always positive for both of them emotionally. As where Sumire made it clear she likes Boruto. Sarada her moments with Boruto have never been romantic and she has brought him down more then helped him even costing him an eye.

We are already highly targeted since BoruSara is pretty much NaruSaku rebranded they were already targeting every other girl and ship that involves Boruto.

Like why people ship them (if you know) and all that because, personally, I find all three disgusting, especially KawaHima.

(I know this'll be more of bsu and anti-bsa, but it's an important essential of the story)

ok, so I, personally, ship msu and ksu because I find them fun and more of crack ships then actual canon ships. I see why ppl like them, but they are more of crack ships. the only one that's actually sailing is ksu, but that's basically dead since timeskip.

but before I get into those ships, let's begin with the incest KawaHima.

kh is basically bsa, an incest ship. except the only difference is kh doesn't have same blood (bsa is incest because of their dads are reincarnations of Ashura and Indra and their clans are close, almost to the point of bsa being literally cousins). but kh are ADOPTIVE siblings, either way, they're related, not by blood tho.

I don't understand why ppl like it considering they're literally siblings. it's basically like shipping Boruto and Himawari. and not to mention their age difference.

ok, so now msu & ksu! first we'll start with msu because that won't take as long as the ksu rant:

so the first actual reason ppl started shipping them (actual fans) is the anime when Nue arc took place. that's what got me hooked on them.

but bsa fans only ship them to get Sumire and Mitsuki away from Boruto and Sarada because Mitsuki has only shown to be romantic around Sarada and Boruto (he might be gay for Boruto, but if he's straight, he's only ever shown interest in Sarada). and Sumire, well, need I say more? she is the ONLY character to have confirmed feelings for another character, hence why they want them both out of the way, because, other than Kawaki, they're the biggest threats to their ship. and they say Mitsuki is the captain of their ship, yet they're suddenly gonna want to throw him away the second he has any romantic relationship with either. and he actually never called them a "good couple" in the manga a.k.a canon and only in the Academy in the anime. after graduating and being on the same team, NOT ONCE has he said they make a good couple because he KNOWS they don't. hell, he asked Sarada ONCE about her feelings in anime and in manga, but he just wanted to know, not that he thinks they will make a good couple, but he was curious, not shipping them.

and with Kawaki, they ship Sumire with him just so they'll both be out of the way of their ship. yet Eida has feelings for Kawaki so she'll most likely get him and Sumire has feelings for Boruto so she'll most likely get him. Sarada's only option is Mitsuki, but yes, Kawaki is a victim of the disgusting bsa fandom because neither parties (Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki, Kawaki) have confirmed their feelings for each other.

and they know how cringy their supposed ship is, which is why they try and say Sumire's love is just a crush and Sarada has confirmed her feelings over blushing and she's a tsundere. they even say Sumire only lied to Sarada so she could recognize her feelings, yet that backfired because after that, the only romantic scene they got was Sarada hugging Boruto in timeskip, like, 66 chapters after Sumire supposedly "manipulated Sarada in realizing her feelings for Boruto".

ok, so I gave a basic rundown, but I'll get into detail about it, starting with Sumire's confession:

ok, so here, antis claim that Sumire only manipulated Sarada into realizing her feelings for Boruto (which didn't happen considering the only romantic thing they have in the ENTIRE manga is the hug at the end of TBV chapter 5, the rest of their moments in the manga were cons to the ship). Sumire was GENUINE about HER feelings, not helping Sarada realize hers.

(btw, for bsa to actually happen, Sarada's personality has to take a big 180 for the ship to actually be considered romantic)

because this comes back up AGAIN:

this is when they KNOW she has DEFINITE feelings for him - REAL feelings. not an act, not a manipulation tactic, REAL FEELINGS, TRUE LOVE.

even Katasuke says "though it's so very obivious". meaning her feelings are true and real.

and say she DID manipulate Sarada to realize her feelings (hell will have to freeze over before it's confirmed that she did), her look wasn't jealous, but more of shock because it came out of nowhere, and she looked concern as Team 7 left and she was looking back at Sumire, probably like "oh no, this idiot is gonna get her heartbroken!". she was worried FOR Sumire, not worried ABOUT Sumire. she didn't think of Sumire as a rival, she thought of her as a close friend (she was her first friend and only friend until Chocho showed up) and she was worried that Boruto (being the dense kid he is) will hurt her.

say, just say, that she lied to Sumire about not having feelings for Boruto (as some antis claim), she'll be an even worse friend than Sakura was to Ino when their friendship ended. at least only one was serious about Sasuke (Sakura), Ino only went after him just to piss Sakura off. whereas Sumire's feelings are real and if Sarada has real feelings, all her moments after chapter 19 will be to piss of Sumire, because remember, she NEVER mentioned Sumire's name when she told Sasuke about Omnipotence, and she hugged Boruto IN FRONT of Sumire. that'll just make her look WORSE than she already does.

but Sarada couldn't care less about romantic feelings, let alone for Boruto. as she confirmed with Eida and Mitsuki.

so they need Sumire to be like Ino and move on with a guy like Sai (Mitsuki), hell, even Kawaki!

the only problem is:

"(koi) = Love between lovers(romantic)"

THAT is the kanji written on Sumire's databook and the cover she first appears in. they're both about SUMIRE, not Sarada as ppl claim. because why would it show up in the same cover Sumire does, huh? suspicious. but her databook cover comfirms her feelings are real.

but now they know that her feelings won't go away so they need Mitsuki and Kawaki to come and take her away so any of them won't be in the way.

msu has had NO interactions in the manga, had the Academy & Nue arcs and the one seen in the Kawaki arc where Mitsuki catches her when she falls over after Kawaki kicks her (all in the anime), well, if you exclude all the random classmate talking during other arcs. but overall, those have the romantic scenes and even then, the only romantic scene is that one seen in the Kawaki arc that isn't even that romantic.

ksu however, in the manga, only has Sumire being Kawaki's caretaker and the anime added a few "romantic" ksu moments, then realized, "wait, this isn't what's happening in the manga", and suddenly, it's like they never happened and ksu never even met.

ppl think that Sumire being Kawaki's caretaker will make her fall in love with him, yet HE asked about HER feelings for BORUTO, not him, BORUTO, his brother. both Mitsuki and Kawaki haven't shown any romantic feelings in ANYONE, including Sarada and Boruto. but at least with Boruto and Sumire, there's a spark there (Boruto being a little too much overprotective of her).

Sarada, however, currently, hopping to and from Mitsuki and Kawaki, so it's kinda hard to tell who'd she'll end up with but it'll probably be Mitsuki because Kawaki ruined Boruto's life. with Boruto, there's just that "he's my teammate, gotta keep him save", "my master told me to protect her so I have to."

say msu or ksu do get a lot of attention, you really think Sumire could look at them like she looks at Boruto. Boruto, himself, debunked that she may be a good actress, yet she can't hide her feelings. she can barely hide her feelings from Boruto in front of anyone. I'm honestly surprised Sarada didn't see the confession coming when Sumire started talking about if Boruto was popular with the girls back in Konoha.

but ppl start creating crazy theories that they'll end up together and that Kishi planned it.

but yes, I'm gonna rap this up:

basically, ppl (some) ship them because they're cute, most ship them to get all three out of the way.

Well, NaruSaku and BoruSara fans are showing their shallowness again plus some ignorance. Did they ever wonder why Naruto is orange and Hinata is purple? It's mainly due to the fact that Kishi based their colors from Goku and Chichi of Dragon Ball. Even Hinata's hime-cut was inspired by Chichi's. NaruHina is a pre-series idea and in fact, Hinata herself got a pre-series art unlike Sakura, who was an editor recommendation. Kishi took his time to think about them and wouldn't use shallow reasons for his pre-series couple to work. I wouldn't repeat the "unmei no akai ito" explanation as I did it earlier.

Also, while Sumire is not busty during Boruto, that doesn't mean she can't be after the timeskip. Maybe her present outfit hides her real figure so we can't say. Sure, she was not that busty during her academy days but that doesn't mean she can't. I mean, look at Ino, she wasn't busty in her pre-teens but she did get busty during her teens. I did not say it to shame Ino but to make a comparison. Lastly, what's the big deal about bustiness and looks, Minato, Naruto and hopefully Boruto, did not fall in love with Kushina, Hinata and Sumire respectively due to their looks but their character. Their looks are just the icing on the cake.

P.S. - If Sumire's post timeskip figure is shown thru a more revealing outfit and it shows that she is quite busty, BoruSaras would attack her much like NaruSakus and its twin from another franchise, IchiRukis, did with Hinata and Orihime for the same reason.

true. in all honesty, their looks or colors mean nothing. it's about THEM themselves, their personality, and how they all stuck by them from the beginning. Kushina chose Minato cause he saved her, Naruto chose Hinata cause she risked her life for him, he saved her too, Sumire chose Boruto because he saved her, and she saved him too because she told Salad about the Omnipotence, so if it wasn't for her, Sasuke would've have came to Boruto's rescue.

both couples have saved each other multiple times.

what does ns and bsa have? the girl shouting at the guy, calling him an idiot, belittling him, and even hitting him.

yes, Naruto and Boruto have saved them, yet not in the meaningful way like the others.

yes. it really doesn't matter about chest size or looks at all. and if we look at Ino in the Boruto manga, she literally has no chest, maybe even flatter than Sakura, and Hinata, too. so it could be the art style.

but hating on a character for their looks is just idiotic. the Sakura & Salad fandom hate on Hinata & Sumire for their looks, long hair, chest, yet they go ahead and draw Sakura & Salad with long hair and big chest. they even COMPLAIN about her chest being small. yet hate on other characters for a big chest.

Hinata was quite modest, so you could barely tell what size hers was until the bath scene and The Last. so the same could be with Sumire.

I just hope the bsa fandom won't attack bsu/Sumire after the series is done, but I know that won't happen since we've already seen what happens when the main guy doesn't get with the main girl, and they're jealous of the secondary girl's looks.

Im gonna say what nobody else got the balls to say.

Warning: Anti KawaSumi post, dont like dont read.

KawaSumi didnt grow in popularity because it had any basis or development or even a bond or good chemistry, despite what this fandom wants you to believe because unfortunately this side of the fandom has many silent voices and only a few brave handful of us actually speak up and speak out, despite what they wanna brainwash you to believe KawaSumi really doesnt have a leg to stand on and nobody genuinely joined the ship because there was actually any basis for it, the real reason ppl started pushing this pathetic keep away ship was because of big biased exposure.

1 SP is no stranger to making their biases known, nor do they make it any secret which ships and characters they favor more than others, for example the studio clearly has a great dislike for Sakura, Sasuke, and SasuSaku and clearly favored Naruto and Hinata, for a long while it was clear the studio REALLY wanted NaruSaku endgame up till a certain point they realized NaruHina was most likely endgame they started clearly showing excessive favoritism to Hinata and NH and suddenly pretending as if they never supported NaruSaku even tho it was revealed many of them did and were upset it didnt happen.

Long story short, history is repeating itself with now SP clearly having a strong bias for BoruSara, lets just not even pretend their not highkey pushing the ship cuz they are, that doesnt mean it’ll be canon tho but they ARE showing a clear bias towards it. Honda, a writer at the studio, is notorious for some of the worst written episodes in the franchise minus 2 episodes that were actually done well, hes known for writing things based on ‘his interpretations’ rather than whats established in canon, as such it often leads to horrible characterizations, inconsistencies, and just terrible writing altogether.

These details are important for this first point, KawaSumi growing in popularity due to biased exposure.

To sum it up, the first and arguably the biggest thing to kickstart this mess was SPs bias, rather than sticking to what was established in the manga they created a whole nother timeline and course of events which for some unusually convenient reason featured Sumire being the first person to care about and reach out to Kawaki before Naruto and Sarada, to be the first to see and understand and relate to his pain before Naruto and Sarada.

Keep in mind, put shipping aside for a moment, Naruto was Kawakis FIRST bond, the FIRST to care about him, the FIRST to understand and see his pain and relate to him and see HIMSELF in him, that is what made his and Narutos bond so special.

Even though nothing Sumire said mattered or got through to him at all, that didnt matter to that fanbase tho, the seeds were planted and now till this day ppl say that SUMIRE is his first bond, the first to care, the first to understand, the first to relate and see herself in him, his first friend etc. Guess who was the writer for those episodes? Honda of course, nuff said.

Those two episodes single handedly undercut Naruto and Sarada’s bond with Kawaki entirely, it put Sumire on this pedestal while Naruto and Sarada are beneath her, the fact that Sumire had to BEG Naruto to hear Kawaki out and give him a chance when in the manga Naruto instantly ignored everybody and already had his mind made up regardless of how they felt about it just made it that much worse, SP knew EXACTLY what they were doing with this, whether it had any impact on Kawaki or not is irrelevant, its the impact on the fandom that was the problem.

To put this into perspective I’ll give another quick example of another one of Honda’s ‘interpretations’ dividing the fandom when they otherwise shouldnt have been, in the episode where Kurama dies Naruto essentially says that he and Sasuke arent brothers and that Sasuke already has a great brother in Itachi, which completely contradicts what Kishimoto himself established for 15 fkin years, regardless the SNS fandom of course took that and ran with it as proof that Naruto and Sasuke arent brothers despite Kishimoto himself literally writing this from Narutos literal point of view how he sees Sasuke from beginning to now.

Naruto, from Kishimotos own words and writing, says blood ties dont matter and that there are stronger links than that, that love is all you need, that it doesnt matter if your family is real or fake as long as you CARE for them, so the fact that Honda’s words are given more validity than Kishimoto the creator himself is truly mind boggling but thats just how easily SP, Honda especially, can quickly and easily divide the fandom on certain subjects that have long been established for years by simply changing it on a whim and ppl just running with it.

So this situation with Sumire was no different, it didnt matter what was established in the manga, Honda rewrote otherwise and thats what ppl ran with, that was strike 1.

2 Biased news articles, thats right, after those episodes aired you even had journalists pushing the idea of the ship out there, implying that it was already being set in motion and making WAY more out of it than it actually was, it wasnt long before if you searched ‘Kawakis crush’ or ‘who does Kawaki like’ that would be the top result, which is something this fandom also use as evidence despite it being an unofficial source and entirely speculatory and opinion based, again the damage was already done, the seed was planted, thats all thats needed.

This CBR article says it all on its own, implying a love triangle that doesnt exist, claiming that Kawaki likes her and that shes his ‘light’ when neither such things have ever been confirmed by any official source nor shown anywhere in canon, despite that, this article paints this false picture of a love triangle that doesnt exist, at the moment there is simply one semi canon ship and that is BoruSumi, there is no love triangle confirmed at this point in time, Sumire is the only character whos feelings have been confirmed by official sources, nobody else.

3 Big youtubers and big twitter accs, youtubers especially, one in particular that REALLY kicked the ship into high gear was Naruto Explained, I shit you not, ppl actually took a youtubers words as law and evidence for why the ship is totally endgame, there were literal discussions being had that these ppl would bring up his videos as evidence, some random guy on youtube opinion is somehow a valid argument for the ship but not the manga itself or the many official sources that contradicts it.

He said he was gonna make videos for all the ships which he did but lets be real, he only made one video about InoSara and KawaSara while he made multiple videos about BoruSara and KawaSumi, there was an obvious agenda being pushed. Not assuming his ship preference because I dont know and I dont care, but its clear which fanbase he was pandering to, same goes for SP and Honda specifically.

These 3 things combined is what got the ship started, a key thing to note is that all 3 of these dont just push KawaSumi but push BoruSara as well, coincidence? I think not.

So whenever anyone tells you that ppl like/ship KawaSumi because its ‘obvious’ or that theres ‘chemistry’ or whatever other bs they claim between them that doesnt exist anywhere in canon, just know the only reason this ship is even known by ppl is because if got alot of biased support and push from high places, not because the ship itself was any good and ppl genuinely liked it for what it was, but because they were brainwashed into believing theres something there that really isnt.

KawaSara grew from a genuine like of the ship and the build up it got in the manga that drew ppl to it who genuinely liked what their relationship was and developing into, even without the Nue arc BoruSumi became semi canon in the manga first in chapter 19 when Sumire confessed, so with or without the anime BoruSumi had basis for fans to ship them since one side of it HAS confirmed romantic feelings for the other, neither KawaSara nor BoruSumi needed a boost from outside biased sources brainwashing them with lies, those ships thrived just fine with just what was established in the manga alone, the anime/novels was just a bonus, but the ships already had their own merits and basis on their own.

Of course I already know there will be ppl who’ll say Im just downplaying the ship cuz Im biased or jealous etc etc but really Im just tellin the truth, you cannot tell me at any point prior to 190-191 where KawaSumi had any significant amount of support, it was a crackship at most, it wasnt until the ripple effect from another one of Honda’s brilliant ‘interpretations’ that got this bullshit started and everything else just started falling into place from there. It was NOT because people actual saw a genuine appeal for the ship, but because of what they were lead to believe. 

If you look at the novels/manga its very apparent they are hinting BoruSumi and that they have a deep & special bond between them, Sumires love for Boruto is clear and visible, in the anime after 190-191 however they not only cut BOTH her confessions from the manga but they also make her feelings uncertain rather than being straightforward like the manga. 

If you look purely at how their relationship is in the manga its extremely distant, Kawaki gives no special treatment/care towards Sumire than he does anyone else, and Sumire gives no special treatment or care towards him than she does anyone else either, Kawaki is indifferent towards her and Sumire is just a kind and caring person concerned for someone she sees going through a hard time, theres nothing special or significant between them to justify ppl calling it the ‘obvious’ endgame already just for Sumire doing the bare minimum as his caretaker and Kawaki allowing her to because well, thats her job, she works with Katasuke and he allows him to work on him so why would he reject Sumire? again Im speaking manga only to make the point of the nonexistent basis for this ship. 

SP/Honda literally gave a horrible ship a false sense of weight that was so unnecessary that did way more harm than good for not just them but so many other characters by extension. They created a domino effect that fueled these few ppls fanon perceptions so much they perceive these ‘fanon’ interpretations as canon because big sources support it right? so it must be endgame, even the studios lowkey pushing for it so that must mean its canon. 

You may think its harmless ship teasing for now or that its no big deal but trust me, the same way SP had a huge influence on the perception of NaruSaku as the potential endgame ship and peoples reaction to it not happening, the same will happen with KawaSumi and BoruSara and I’d argue its gonna be worse this time around than in OG because back then atleast you could argue all the extra NS stuff was filler and non canon anyway, meanwhile you cant say the same for Boruto since its claimed to be ‘all’ canon even if it diverts from the manga/novels, so when and if their not endgame after all the bullshit false hope they were bein fed its gonna be hard to argue why they shouldnt be outraged, after all it WAS all canon so what was the point of all that if the endings something totally different? thats what happens when you divert off course from the source material and do your own thing based on your own ‘interpretations’ that contradict it, when the ACTUAL OFFICIAL canon happens ppl are left confused wondering how this happened when all this other stuff happened that seemed to be leading to somethin else. 

Even though objectively, personal bias aside, I see nothing that says BoruSara and KawaSumi are endgame and see far more in favor of BoruSumi and KawaSara becoming canon in the end, even if not KawaSara BoruSumi is definitely endgame atp based on whats been setup and established so far, even though I dont see anything to suggest Bsa and Ksu endgame I can understand WHY others get the impression that they are, its very clear their being pandered to and to be fair its understandable to a degree why’d they fall for it. Be that as it may, anyone taking a moment to look at everything objectively and critically would quickly see all the flaws and holes in these ships potential canonicity, KawaSumi especially. 

But unfortunately much of this fandom functions on whatever the biggest names say is right, doesnt matter if their an official source or not, if your someone big like a big youtuber, a big twitter acc, or a biased anime studio, then their right and everything and everyone else is wrong, which unfortunately means when the opposite happens they wont be able to accept it and claim there was some sort of foul play 🤦‍♀️ I’ve seen this happen many times...its always the same.

So no, Im not downplaying the ship out of bias, I dont even ship BoruSumi nor like Sumire, Im just calling it how I literally witnessed it all go down in real time. This ship is a friggin joke yet because of all that mess Honda and everything else after that caused it now has ppl believing in something THEY made up.

If you dont believe it just look at the arguments, whenever ppl talk of KawaSara they mostly speak of manga content, adding on anime content is just a bonus but most of KawaSaras development HAPPENED in the manga, however whenever ppl talk of KawaSumi they ALWAYS bring up 190-191, the only thing from the manga they bring up is Kawaki allowing her to give him a needle and calling her by name instead of class rep and Sumire just literally doing her job...couldnt make this up if I tried. Thats because most of KawaSumi’s ‘development’ happened in the anime, their relationship in the manga has been stagnant, it went from him rejecting her giving him a needle to accepting it, thats it, and Sumire is no more or less concerned for Kawaki now than she was when she first appeared with him, their just stagnant, meanwhile Kawaki has made significant progress with just about everyone BUT her. 

Its crazy, but ppl will really insist that their the obvious endgame and KawaSara/BoruSumi fans are the ones who’s delusional. I both look forward and dread canon day because thats gonna be one hell of a shit storm I can already see it comin.

Aight its time to say it

Warning: Anti BoruSara post, dont like dont read.

Aight enough time has passed and now its long overdue to be said so Im gonna be the one to burst the bubble since nobody else is.

Sarada's actions in 78 did not solidify BoruSara because it mirrored the NH moment in the Pain arc, it actually did the OPPOSITE and showed how flimsy the ship actually is and how weak Sarada's feeling for him are.

People love this argument of 'love makes you act irrationally so that proves Sarada's feelings are more real/stronger than Sumire's because she acted reckless like Sakura and Hinata did while Sumire stayed behind and did nothing'

Now at first glace that does seem to be the case, but after the initial shock has worn off and you actually reread the chapter with a much clearer head, you realize how much damage this actually did to both the ship and Sarada's character.

Now what do I mean? to see the problem you just have to answer one simple question, what is the one major difference between the moment with NH and the one with Bsa? the answer is Pay Off.

What do I mean by that? lets compare the two side by side and all will become clear.

Aight I think it should be clear now, notice the difference? yea, the very scene they claim solidified the ship actually weakened it, the very scene they said solidified Sarada's feelings as more 'real' than Sumire because she acted irrationally, actually showed how flimsy her feelings really are compared to Sumire.

It's true that Sumire staying behind could give that impression, but at the same time people get on Hinata's case all the time here for how stupid her actions was and how she actually made the situation WORSE rather than better by jumping into a situation she knew she couldnt win and made Naruto snap so bad that if not for Minato's fail safe it would've been GGs for everybody and Naruto would've died by undoing the seal.

But Im not here to criticize Hinata right now, because all in all her actions were out of love right? thats the point of this post. So Sumire's actions actually make more sense than Hinata's was because she knew she didnt have a chance to begin with so why bother going there? just to get one shotted? what happened to Sarada is a prime example of WHY she was right not to go, because thats what happened.

But ok since yall wanna be hung up on girls inlove for real all acted irrational and ran to their mans rescue which solidified the ship, well this goes back to what I said the biggest and most important difference between all the other girls vs Sarada, and thats PAY OFF.

Still confused by what I mean? well I'll show you cuz it aint just NH, Sarada failed to be like ANY of the girls who acted irrationally and fought for their man, keyword FOUGHT.

The difference is night and day atp, when I say Pay Off I meant PAY OFF, and with BoruSara, unlike everyone else I showed, had zero pay off.

What do I mean by pay off? should be obvious by now but the answer is simple, when everyone else fought for their loves they actually FOUGHT, they didnt always win, but they TRIED there were ATTEMPTS made to protect them no matter HOW badly they got hurt. No matter HOW much stronger the enemy was than them they NEVER faltered when their love was in danger and were willing to fight tooth and nail to defend them as much as they were capable of doing.

THATS the sign of true love in the Naruto verse, not the foolishness yall try to make it as just acting irrational = true love, no, its ACTIONS which is something Sarada did not take.

The arguement of she was scared doesnt apply here, because if your gonna use this argument as proof it solidified Bsa then Im gonna use it to prove why it didnt. EVERYONE was scared in those moments but it didnt stop them, they didnt back down, they fought for their loves REGARDLESS of how scared they were, even knowing that they could die they still jumped in head first and FOUGHT.

I dont care how you try to twist it, turn it, flip it or reverse it, if your gonna use this argument then you gotta use it all the way, dont just talk about the irrationale, talk about the actions, or in Sarada's case lack thereof.

If you need more proof of how bad this looks on Bsa and just how this moment proves how not strong Sarada's feelings for him is, you need look no further than Haku.

I mean nuff said right there, Naruto learned where true strength comes from from Haku, which is that when you have someone whos precious to you, romantic or platonic, thats when you can truly become strong, as strong as you need to be, and this is shown time and time again all throughout Naruto through multiple characters who overcame their fears and fought for who was precious to them, unleashing a whole new strength they didnt know they had. It didnt always have to be some brand new ability, but simply just having the courage to put your life on the line for that dear person was enough to solidify who really mattered.

This is what kills Bsa in that moment, not saying the ship is dead obviously, but that moment killed it in terms of perception and their relationship as a whole. We can keep HEARING how deep their bond in, how close they are, how much they mean to eachother, but if you dont show it and instead show the opposite then people will have a hard time believing their actually as close as we're being told they are.

Just imagine Naruto talking about how much Iruka and Team 7 mean to him but we never see any strong actions that proved it, would you still believe their his closest bonds? if Naruto still says Sasuke is like a brother to him, would you still believe that if they barely showed the two of them bonding and being close like sibling? pretty sure you wouldnt, thats why its important to SHOW DONT TELL, because if all your doing is telling people but not showing them your definitely not gonna convince them that anythings really there like you say it is.

Even her bs MS isnt an example, because for every MS there was emotion and build up and the situation was centered around that character, it was THEIR big moment, a moment that showed just how much the person who triggered it meant to them, which is why yall like to use that as proof as well but even that just goes to show how weak her feelings are in the eyes of the narrative and mangaka himself. Sarada's MS is on the same level as Sasuke's half hearted sorry to Karin, it was short, rushed, moved right past like it wasnt a big deal and just went onto the next thing because her MS wasnt important for her character or the plot or even her feelings for Boruto, no what it was is plot convenience.

Plot convenience to convince Sasuke to save Boruto because he wouldnt have believed her otherwise, he needed to see her MS to convince him that if what shes asking is strong enough to trigger that then she must be telling the truth, thats literally the only purpose her MS served, a half assed way for Boruto to be saved, same way Sasuke's apology was a half assed way to address his betrayal and get right back to the real important stuff aka the war.

Again this goes back to what I said about show dont tell, if you want people to believe her MS was triggered by her strong love for Boruto then you have to show it which they didnt, her MS literally ONLY APPEARS when shes trying to convince Sasuke to save him, it was literally a deus ex machina because her eyes didnt budge an inch before then, it was literally ONLY when convincing Sasuke that her MS triggered, do you get just how bad that is yet? that her MS had nothing to do with her character, her growth, her feelings, her bond with Boruto, but just as a plot convenient way to bail Boruto out and then move on like she didnt just awaken a major power up? do you not see how pathetic that is?

I cant make it any clearer, 78 killed BoruSara's credibility as the most solidified ship, and her MS awakening purely out of plot convenience rather than actual emotion and then moved on from like it was nothing just killed it even more.

3 years have passed now and during a huge invasion with an Jigen level threat she doesnt even activate her MS once, and you want me to believe her MS awakening was a really big deal for her character and their relationship? this just proves it even more that the MS really was just plot convenience for Boruto to be saved, thats it, it had nothing to do with her character or her feelings etc, it was literally just a deus ex machina to keep Boruto alive into the timeskip.

It is INSANE to me how people see either of these scenes as solidification for the ship, all it did was prove how flimsy Sarada's feelings for him are and vice versa but thats a topic for another day, this post is just focused on Sarada.

When Boruto was about to be killed by Kawaki she blew one fireball and then buckled under pressure when it was time to actually square up and needed to be saved instead

When everybody was hunting Boruto down she just fell to her knees and cried, even after hearing him say hes going to kill Boruto she did not try to stop him and just sat there crying, and had Sasuke not shown up, she STILL would've been sitting there crying and Boruto would've been killed

Her MS doesnt awaken behind any emotion surrounding Boruto, but purely as a means to make Sasuke go and save him, yet she takes zero action herself to try and protect him and it literally took Sumire spelling everything out to her for her to even try to convince her dad in the first place, if not for Sumire Sarada was all ready to fall apart again and just sit there and cry until Sumire said they need to find a way to save Boruto but she doesnt know how they can which is when Sarada got the idea to ask her dad for help

Which leads me to my next point, since we established Sarada's feelings werent proven to be real or stronger than Sumire's, how does Sumire fair in comparison? well you can probably already guess but these chapters actually solidified BoruSumi alot despite Sumire not stupidly jumping into a losing fight.

How exactly? well lets start with 78, Sumire is being smart about the situation, she knows she cant help even if she tried, but she also knows reinforcements are on their way to help, so its not as if she left Boruto to fend for himself but she KNEW there were people on their way to go help him, her going there would just be in their way.

Sumire was actually trying to explain the situation to Sarada but she freaked out and Shikamaru gave the bare minimum run down of what happened and then she ran off, in this moment Sumire tries repeatedly to keep Sarada from stupidly running into danger but she doesnt listen. There are 2 reasons for Sumire not acting, 1 she knew she couldnt do anything anyway, and 2 because their supposed to be pretending to be under Ada's charm, so leaving Ada behind to go chase after Boruto would be highly suspicious since remember, their supposed to be charmed by Ada, so Boruto being in danger shouldnt pull them away from Ada if their both 'inlove' with Ada now.

You could argue the mission shouldnt have been more important than her love for Boruto but my response is why shouldnt it be? they NEED Ada to believe their affected because by them being the only 2 who arent means their the only ones who can take her out, blow their cover and Daemon will be on their ass like a hawk. Sumire rather than thinking in the moment, she thought long term, she knew people were on their way to help, and she knew she had to keep playing along to make Ada think she's affected, which would have been suspicious if she ran away with Sarada too leaving Ada behind.

But ok lets say I give you that and agree it wasnt a good look, lets move onto 79-80

Once Ada is GONE Sumire wastes NO time taking action, she immediately puts together what happened and contacts Sarada, SHE'S the one with a clear head with her entire focus on saving Boruto, she's running to meet up with Sarada so they can do something to help him even though she's unsure of what they CAN do, shes still going there to try and think of SOMETHING.

If Sumire never had this convo with Sarada she would have NEVER thought of asking Sasuke for help, it was only thanks to Sumire's explanation and level head that made Sarada act, not through any mental strength or determination of her own, but because of Sumire snapping her out of it.

As much as I hate this for Sarada's character making her this stupid and emotional, it was great characterization for Sumire that really showed her strong feelings for Boruto. She held herself back in order to play along with Ada, but as soon as that was no longer in her way she immediately took action, her mind was clear despite the chaos and she was determined to figure out a way to save Boruto with Sarada even though she had no idea how they could, she was still running over there to try.

So if you wanna be technical then thats closer to all the other moments of people fighting for their loved ones, none of them really knew how they would succeed or if they even could but they were willing to try anyway, and had Sarada not have thought of convincing Sasuke to go save him there's no doubt in my mind that Sumire would've looked for and found and protected Boruto, or atleast try.

But that falls into theory territory since we'll never know for sure how'd that play out cuz things didnt go that way, but you can just look at how the scene played out and see she was determined and planning to help Boruto in any way she could while Sarada was just on the ground falling apart doing nothing to try and help him.

Which goes right back to what I said, when its time for Sarada to act and prove her feelings, romantic or platonic or otherwise, she buckles under pressure, this is something even her own mother and father were able to overcome for their precious bonds, Sarada literally just sat there in despair despite knowing her childhood friend was in danger.

Sumire who's not even shown to be a fighter in the manga [yet] still got moving and kept her head on straight enough to analyze the situation and act accordingly, but Sarada the active ninja whos been through equally stressful situations before now and kept her head on straight now cant? yea, I think its obvious whose feelings are being pushed as genuine and more along what Haku described and whos isnt.

I really need to say no more, I already know antis gonna hate me for this if they read it but hey the truths the truth, when a girl or anyone for that matter in the Narutoverse is truly inlove they always take ACTION no matter what when that love is in danger, Sarada did not, case closed.

PS: All you Sumire/BoruSumi antis really need to thank Sumire, because if not for her your ship would've died, literally, because Sarada was really gonna let him die by not doing anything to help, so yall need to be grateful, she gave yall your 'moment'.

Ppl really still be out here saying that Salad’s the only one helping Bolt and the only one strong enough to take on Kawaki and the only one who ever loved Bolt, blah blah blah.

According to them, she’s Boruto’s only love interest and only one who loves him enough to fight and help him. And it’s thanks to her that Shikamaru knows about Omnipotence. And apparently she’s as strong as a god and can take on Kawaki by herself

Did they forget Boruto lost an eye cause Sarada was too weak and dumb to protect herself from Kawaki.

Sumire has outright confessed she loves Boruto and has helped as well on an emotionally level through his hatred against scientific tools. Then again as she is the reason Shikamaru could put together Omnipotence not Sarada.

All Sarada did was yell and got ignored. If Sarada was so strong a leaf ninja wouldn't have been turned into a tree saving her butt. Sarada is without a doubt the weakest of team 7 and is no where close to Kawaki.

Why I Ship BoruSumi

No hate

In Naruto, it was all about shipping. People love watching Naruto or other characters having romantic relationships with others and ship baits and it was exciting to see what would be end game. It was all about the fun. But a part of the fandom took that fun and made it a nightmare (NaruSaku/Sakura) fandom. They sent death threats to Masashi Kishimoto and the team to make NaruSaku canon and loved hating on any other character that interacted with Naruto, mostly Hinata Hyuga. But after the ending of Naruto, some of the fandom can’t seem to accept that. They moved onto the kids, hoping to live out their delusions through them (Boruto and Sarada). After Boruto the movie came out, most people speculated that they would be canon, and because the next gen wasn’t planned yet, they had no one else to pair Boruto up with, so that’s why there are a lot of blushing scenes.  

Now, BoruSumi is one of Boruto’s most popular ships, along with BoruSara. Here's why I ship BoruSumi:

Opposites:

Ever heard of the saying, “opposites attract”. Yeah, well, that’s true in this case. Most Naruto/Boruto couples are yin and yang. Yin being quiet, emotionless, and shy. Whereas yang is loud, obnoxious, and easily angered. Boruto was quickly ruled out as yang, whereas Sumire was ruled as yin. Boruto often pulled pranks and would shout and have random outbursts. Sumire was shown to be quiet and shy and scared whenever her class was having fall outs, which was easily shown in one episode where the class was having a girl VS boy battle. Even after her arc, she was still shown to be scared about other people and what they think of her and a shy and caring person:

Now, every Naruto/Boruto character get their personality from either their mother or father and Naruto and Sasuke got theirs from their mothers and married someone like their fathers (Hinata/Minato and Sakura/Fugaku). Even Itachi got Mikoto's personality and Izumi had Fugaku's (it was confirmed that Itachi loved her). It's only fair since Boruto inherited his father's personality that he marries someone like his mother, that being Sumire. Sarada, in contrast to what people think, actually inherited her mother's personality.

2. Treat each other differently:

Sumire is kind so she treats everyone equally, but she has confirmed her feelings towards Boruto twice, but this one's mostly pointed towards Boruto.

Chocho: Shouted at her, angry at her, called her a liar, etc:

Namida: He's barely had any interaction with her but she is a friend of his. But in this scene, he didn't have a direct conversation with her, but still wanted to help. But judging from his calmness, her wanting to not be a ninja didn't bug him much. He has also seen to tease her and Wasabi:

Sarada: He didn't see her as a normal girl and hated her guts, vice versa. But as the anime/manga went on, he became comfortable around her and saw her as only a teammate:

But with Sumire, he listens to her like she's his mom, which Sumire is technically the mom or big sister of the group:

3. He doesn't call her by her name:

People may think this is a con to the ship, but it's actually a pro. In Japan, calling someone by their title has shown to be respectful and calling people like how Boruto calls Kakashi, Konohamaru and Hanabi is shown to be disrespectful. Now, he probably thinks he's not close or not good enough to call her by her name. But he always respected her, more than I can say for Sarada and his own sensei. He only called her by her name once and that was when he had saved her from darkness, but it was also life-changing for him, meaning her name meant something to him. That was when Sumire started having feelings, too. 4. Jealousy: Sumire has shown jealous (the scene where Boruto was chasing Sarada on the boat in the Kiri arc), but it was barely displayed. Boruto, however was shown jealousy over her two times (probably even more but I haven't watched the whole show, just up to episode 232, but these are the scenes I can remember):

5. Boruto was worried for Sumire when she was in trouble:

In the last scene, Boruto was upset (and in the novel, he even cried for her) and blamed himself for her getting hurt.

6. Boruto blames himself for Sumire getting hurt:

In the novel (as mentioned earlier), Boruto cried for Sumire in the novel, but in the anime, it showed him as worried. It got so bad that Sarada had to drag him out. He then vowed to stop the guy who hurt her.

7. Those around Boruto seem to know he gets a bit overprotective of Sumire:

Shikadai:

He was worried about Boruto's reaction when Inojin said that Sumire might be transferring.

After Inojin opened his big mouth, Boruto instantly became angry and tried getting her back.

Mitsuki:

Mitsuki is a bit different because he doesn't know but he does, if that makes sense. It's obvious that Mitsuki likes Boruto (I'm pretty sure it's confirmed), so that technically makes Sumire his rival. But Mitsuki still seemed to know that whenever Sumire was involved, Boruto would act differently and rush over to her. He knew he acted differently around her. He even went as far to ask her about Boruto when she was in the hospital, all because he took Inojin's words out of context and assumed she liked him.

Naruto:

Boruto's own father seemed to know how much Boruto cared for her. Naruto probably realized this when Boruto asked him to use his Hokage title. You could see the realization on his face and the smile he gave him was a "I will, trust me" one (there is a pic, but I can't find it).

Hinata:

A mother knows her child best, right? Hinata had been in love with Naruto since childhood, so she knew about young love. She didn't know Sumire in person, but she knew that she was important to Boruto since he rarely ever asks anything from his father.

7. Boruto trusts Sumire:

Now, Boruto trusts all his comrades, but he trusted Sumire even after everything that she did and his trust in her was unbelievable. He put his life in her hands even though she tried to destroy his home and family. He even put faith in her and wanted to protect her and couldn't chose between her and the village.

8. Parallels:

KawaSumi is parallel with SasuHina (purple being mc's rival and lover, but Kawaki's and Sasuke's are leaning towards black, but at one point was purple) and BoruSara is parallel with SasuKari/NaruSaku.

10. Confessions:

Sumire has confessed her feelings like Hinata has.

11. Data book:

In Sumire's data book, it was confirmed that she loved Boruto, just like Hinata's and Sakura's confirmed their love to their respective partners.

But this is all my opinion and why I ship them. But if you ship BoruSara then that's fine. But these are my reasons for shipping this ship and I'm pretty sure it's canon because of the last point. I don't think that Ino or Karin's have confirmed their feelings for Sasuke when the series was going on. And I know Sarada's definitely hasn't. But ship your own ship.

Only time will tell, I guess. and the decisions for Kishi to decide and some rabid fans sending death threats to him to make their ship canon won't change his mind.

And in it, Auruto & Hanasita gen have all the good ships, except ksa.

But in Saruto & Sanada, it has a copy of all ships and it has the cringy bsa and ksu.

And in it, some Saruto & Sanada fan created Hanasita and her twin brother Soruto in a pic next to Saruto & Sanada and Hanasita had short hair yet Sanada had long hair????

Sanada basically looks like Sakura before she cut her hair with Boruto features.

Oh, and in some of their fanarts, Sarada had the Hokage's hat and big chest. They're so insecure about her body.

And in another one, Boruto and Sarada were staring lovingly into each other's eyes and he had his arm around her and pulling her into a kiss as the kids made funny faces in the background.

if anything, whoever Salad ends up with, if she has a daughter, her hair will be short since Sakura passed on her short hair to Salad.

Sakura had a short chest, what makes them thing that Salad will have a big chest? main girls always have a small chest.

Bolt will never show so much emotion to Salad, heck, if he’ll be oh so in love, it’s basically like him showing so much love towards Namida. so by their logic, BoruNami shows love towards each other.
