It’s gonna take a Wizard! Customer wanted a rebuild but not replace the cedar railings. Wanted “mahogany” on the horizontals. Vendor sold us mix of Balau and Red Meranti. Add all this up to new steps with new cedar risers and pressure treated pine framing and we have one helluva mixed bag to stain and match as best we can. Unlike common belief, pressure treated lumber does not require to be left untreated for a long period before staining. Newly installed pressure treated wood on decks and exterior structures should be left about two weeks for lumber to dry.
