It is the ninth unit of the renowned jewelry and accessories brand's hotel chain and the second in the "Eternal City", as the Italian capital is known (and which also houses the brand's headquarters). The building, signed by the architect Vittorio Ballio Morpurgo, was built between 1936 and 1938 and inaugurated in 1950, represents an important example of rationalist architecture.
The work on the new hotel is signed by ACPV ARCHITECTS by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, one of the most renowned architecture firms in Italy, responsible for the interior design projects for the entire Bulgari hotel chain.
"Our objective was to recreate the beauty and sophistication, as well as the elegance and refined craft techniques of the Emperor Augustus. architect Patricia Viel, CEO of ACPV ARCHITECTS. The result is proven in the harmony between the aesthetic rigor of the materials - such as natural stone from the Roman Empire - and the essential architectural style of the building through the use of textures.

The hotel has 114 rooms plus a suite measuring 300 m², including a kitchen, and overlooking the Mausoleum of Augustus.
A wide range of services are also available to guests, including a 1,500 square meter spa that evokes the atmosphere of ancient Roman baths, with marble columns, stained glass and a 20 meter indoor swimming pool, with mosaics inspired by the famous Baths of Caracalla. , the second largest public bath complex in ancient Rome.

“In the right place, at the right time”. This time last years, during the holidays, it wasn't a cheerful time for me personally. Someone very close to me was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. If you saw her, then or now, you wouldn’t believe me. In fact, most of the time she looks likes a picture of health. Truth be told, she has faced endless health hurdles over the past two years. I can’t count the number of times I’ve seen her face fall, when she would receive more discouraging news from doctors. It never takes long though for her to dust off, pull herself up by the boot straps and forge on fighting the good fight. This is one of the many qualities about her that I have always admired, her ability to stay in faith. After nearly a year of her condition being misdiagnosed, it seemed like nothing would stop the cancer from winning the fight. Then, a twist of fate, when I found myself in the right place at the right time, and stumbled across word of a possible treatment option, that would save the life of this woman I love so much. Or, at least buy her more years of precious life. It all started when my husband won an all expense trip to Hawaii through his job. Sounds incredible, but there were so many hurdles to overcome to take this trip. First of all, it was not a good time to ask for time off at work. Channel 8 was going through management transitions, this time last year, and I felt vulnerable not being at work. Add to that, I would have to miss being part of the Gasparilla Parade which WFLA broadcast every year, and of course juggling the care of four children to take a trip for two, is never easy. This trip though, was really important to my husband. He is always so supportive of my career, I didn’t have the heart to bombard him with all the reason that I didn’t want to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. So, we made all the arrangements, and off we went Oahu, in the Hawaiian Islands. On the first day it was sunny and gorgeous outside. We hiked and enjoyed all the beauty Hawaii has to offer. I was starting to think this vacation wasn't such a bad idea after all. Our next stop, was to see the most popular tourist destinations in Oahu; Hanauma Bay. Upon arrival were greeted by warning signs posted about jellyfish mating season. Days later, small peeks of sunshine tried to break through the clouds. My husband took one look out the window and was determined it was time to head back to the bay. So off we went, we arrived, paid for our passes and sat through a pretty boring circa 70’s video about the marine embayment, before boarding a bumpy trolley ride to make our way to the foot of the bay. No sooner did we plant our feet firmly onto the sand, the skies opened up again, and the rain began to pour down on us. We dashed under a small hut that barely had enough space to keep us dry. Under the hut with us, was a sweet old man, with the friendliest demeanor, wearing a big garden hat, and a pin that read “volunteer”. I could see the look in my husband’s eyes, as he knew it wouldn’t be long before I would strike up a conversation with the man, who unbeknownst to
me, would hold all the answers to help the person close to me, who was dying from the rare cancer. “So you’re a volunteer? What do you do here at Hanauma Bay?” I asked. I could see the smirk on my husband’s face. After so many years of marriage, my habit of always striking up conversations with people I don't know, that used to annoy him, has finally become endearing. At that point, neither of us knew, this conversation would turn out to be blessing in disguise. Right off the bat, the elderly man and I had something in common.
