for like personal physical reasons I find it uncomfortable to bottom or top (in terms of anal) which kind of sucks. I'd be such a powerverse but I'm bound to sidedom... at least I'm good with my mouth.

(Mod Question)
Oh… was the state of Scarlet and Violet the reason why you took a hiatus?
{Admittedly, no—it just had hilariously excellent timing.
If we're talking about the blog alone, the hiatus was (and is, as it's still technically going on) purely accidental because of a cross between RL stuff and me spending a lot more time on original fic, which honestly makes me happier than writing fanfiction ever has. There's something about toying with a universe you've created entirely on your own—and, also admittedly, seeing how many people are actually interested in reading what you create. I'm actually working on three different novels at the moment, one of which I plan on self-publishing sometime next year (and another of which is a delightful fantasy romance that's best described as "powerverse meets FFXIV Endwalker," should anyone be interested), and the amount of support I've gotten from writeblr, Tumblr's writing community, for these novels has been incredible.
But really, I do it for the freedom and the peace of it. I sort of alluded to this when I left fandom as a whole, but when I was super involved with the fandom, I felt like I was constantly doing things for other people or changing parts of myself to please others, only to have people violate my boundaries, take advantage of me, treat me like crap, ignore me/my needs, etc, and then go off on me because I wasn't doing what they wanted. There are good people in fandom, don't get me wrong. It's just that there are also a lot of people who don't really acknowledge that other people on the internet are, you know. Other people. If you catch my drift.
Point is, I just wasn't having fun. At all. And I guess that's also why I haven't really been back all that much. It's been hard to do much with Pokémon because sometimes, when I look at anything to do with it, I'm just reminded of how many years I'd spent making myself miserable when I could have been embracing the things I love. Like, apparently, I really like film analysis, and I never really knew that before because I'd always spend my time talking about Pokémon? And lost media! I spent two hours watching somebody on YouTube talk about how they discovered the lost Saban Moon pilot, and it was incredible. And musicals—apparently, I love musicals too!
And then, the writing! I wrote an entire book that was probably about 75% one dude monologuing, and people actually liked it? Not a single comment was disparaging? They're excited to see me turn it into a book they can hold?
I guess what I'm trying to say is for a very long time, I wasn't having fun with fandom. If anything, I was just hanging around because I liked Bill and Lanette and because I felt like I had to in some respects. So I kinda had to leave to do my own thing and figure things out, and that became a hiatus for the blog too, not because I intended to leave it when I left fandom (I was planning on doing more of my own thing here, after all) but more because I realized I was just having more fun doing other stuff.
Now, again, don't get me wrong. I still like this blog and want to continue running it. It's just that it isn't as much of a priority for me as it used to be. Will I ever close the askbox and write an ending? Maybe. I'd thought about it, even. It's been a couple of years since we last really heard from Bill and Lanette, and I had thoughts about writing a post in which we find out they've gotten married and started in on a new project—maybe even lay the foundations of Halcyon Labs, as a nod to one of my fanfics. But if that post ever comes, it'll be some time far off, I think. I'm not quite done with this blog just yet.
But! Yes, I'm still on hiatus. Technically.}

Power Book III: Raising Kanan Gets Release Date
Tumblr media
Fans of the Power universe now have a reason to rejoice. Season 3 of the nail-biting urban drama "Raising Canan's" return has been confirmed. And boy, oh boy, is it making the latter part of 2023 look scintillating. Curtis Jackson (Fifty) Mesmerizes 50 Cent, also known as Curtis Jackson, captivated fans when he showcased his directorial talent with the release of the crime drama "Power" in 2014. Although some held their breath reserving judgment, the relative success of "Power" proved Jackson had something special. However, building a reputation in the entertainment industry requires more than one project. And Jackson, a true power player, did not waste one minute cementing his skills, proving that his initial success was no stroke of luck. "Power" served as the catalyst for creating an entire universe, the "Powerverse." Among the series that emerged within this expansive universe was "Book III: Raising Kana (2021)." Power Book III: Raising Kanan "Raising Kanan" was conceived as a spinoff to the popular series "Power," designed to delve into the origins of Kanan, a character portrayed by Fifty Cent himself. Those who were "Power" watchers understood any spinoff featuring Kanan was bound to be drama-soaked and gritty. And Jackson did not disappoint the viewers. With a bombastic soundtrack, top-tier actors, and a rock-solid storyline, "Power Book III: Raising Kanan" hit its mark. Power Book III: Raising Kanan to Return   Image Source: Starz In the autumn of 2022, "Power Book II: Raising Kanan" drew to a close, leaving viewers with an adrenaline rush. The storyline had Raquel facing a coordinated attack, and Kanan was at a crossroads with one foot in the game and one foot out. Such made the anticipation for a third season undeniable. According to Deadline, the series will return to Starz on December 1. Where it left off: A Prelude to Season 3 The family is in duress this time, and Kanan has much to consider. "His blinders are off, and he doesn't like what he sees." The secrets have led to fragility in the ranks.  So, respectfully, there is a lot at stake. As for plot drivers, According to Deadline, this season will revolve around themes of redefinition. This indicates significant changes are on the horizon. And unfortunately, "They won't all be able to complete this intensely personal quest. But the destination may reveal the most terrifying secret for those who do." With a tagline like that, there is much to anticipate in the upcoming season. It's an undeniably promising outlook of intense drama and gripping storytelling. Polishing Off the Details Fans of Fifty Cent and the Power universe should prepare for a winter that promises to be hotter than ever. And it's going down on December 1, at 8 p.m. on Starz in the United States and Canada. Mark the date. Read the full article

Oh hey Bill, how does it feel to fly under your own power? I've always wondered how that feels...I've flown on a Pidgeot before but I feel that doing so under your own power must be a completely different experience!
In a word, anonymous . . . it's liberating.
Imagine that you've spent your entire life being held down by weights tied around your limbs. One day, you're able to take off those weights for the first time. Imagine how that must feel, how your limbs feel when you lift them above your head, how fast you run without weights tied around your ankles.
That's what it feels like.
[This answer doesn't surprise Lanette, actually. It doesn't even worry her. She just presses post, then hands the phone back to Bill, and they both stare out at the sunset from atop the lighthouse beacon. She leans against him, hand resting on his wrist, feeling the skin beneath it. Skin, not scales. Not yet. That part surprises her.
It's been several months since the two of them started focusing on other projects. It's not that they had lost interest in the blog. It was more that there didn't seem to be much left to say. Oh, sure, there were questions left unanswered, and Lanette's aware she'll have to make Bill answer them eventually. But . . . it seems less like a priority now. Less important than the world in front of them and the questions they had yet to answer, not from readers but from each other.
How long has it been so far? Half a year since that incident in Crown Tundra. Two since their first adventure into Galar. Lanette isn't even pretending that she'll eventually go home at this point; in a way, she's already there. She knows that's the answer to one of Bill's questions—probably more—but she enjoys the idea of holding out from answering that one, even just for a little while longer.
Bill inhales deeply, rocks back on his heels, and closes his eyes.
"I hope you're not bored," he says.
"What do you mean?" Lanette answers.
"I mean it's been rather quiet," Bill tells her. "We have our research, but how long has it been since we've last had something exciting happen?"
Lanette smirks. "Given the fact that 'exciting' usually ends with one of us kidnapped or stuck as a pokémon, why are you saying that like it's a bad thing?"
"Hm. Maybe you have a point."
Bill opens his eyes, then jumps. Before Lanette can stop him, he's perched on the railing, facing her. And then, he's gone, off the edge and dropping towards the sea. Lanette doesn't have time to shout; her voice catches in her throat as she leans over and stares down at the black waters below.
Then, there's a flash of green and a wind, and she's swept off her feet and arcing into the air until she lands squarely on a flygon's back. Bill beats his wings once, then sets off, flying away from the shore.
"Where are we going?!" Lanette shouts over the wind.
"Off to find some excitement!" Bill calls back. "Let's see which of those two scenarios you're talking about will come up this time!"
It takes a second for that to sink in before Lanette leans against her partner's back. She pulls herself close to his ear.
"You know," she says, "I wasn't going to say anything beforehand, but supposedly, there have been new legendary sightings in Sinnoh."
Bill glances at her without turning his head. Then, his dragon's snout twists into a wicked grin, and he picks up speed.
"Do you think Bebe has enough room for a trainer and her dragon?" he asks.
"Absolutely not," Lanette replies, "but I'd love to see the look on her face when we drop by anyway."]
