I always said I wasn't going to make jewelry but I finally caved and made a few painted polymer clay baroque framed skull pendants. 😔 I'll probably churn out a few more for my show in December and add them to my shop. 💀✨
it is also my birthday, so what better time to post my tiger pendants/ornaments than today. find them here <3
i’ve had some really rough few months health and life wise, but i have somewhat of a backlog of creatures to put in the shop! slow but steady... i am trying to keep the shop alive since it is currently my only source of income, and it brings much joy. our food and bills have tripled because life is great on terf island in uk right now... wolfie’s insurance did not cover his £1000 dental surgery. am still unemployed due to disability and still waiting for more rheumatologist and occupational health appointments (this september marks seven years of hospitals and specialists trying to access some support or treatment but still no answers...). i’ve developed migraines so i cannot consistently take commissions or teach anymore. it gives me anxiety that i’ll have one of my two week migraine attacks and miss deadlines, and that anxiety makes the migraines more likely. of course!
but i am not discouraged and i am happy to keep making my animals. i haven’t drawn or painted any ‘proper’ artwork in months but i am trying to stay creative. running a shop of little things i make has always been my life dream and i have so many ideas of more ambitious stuff to make... just gotta get my footing!
anyway my birthday wish is for you all to be happy! and also send me photos of your cats/other critters yesss?
I almost forgot to share these good little lads! I made some rat pendants to bring with me to Furnal Equinox this past weekend. I feel in love with these very quickly while making them, look at their lil tails!
Today's beast is a family pendant, a loon and her babby. Waterfowl giving their offspring little rides is one of the most charming things nature has to offer.
If you'd like a pendant, please check out Bittythings and Beasts. If you are within Canada, please make sure to grab what you'd like by this weekend for the best chance of getting them for the 25th.
It's been a while since I've made any pendants, so I thought I'd create some in between my larger projects. I've decided to make more little cherry blossom tapir pendants! I'll be posting tiny dragon and capybara pendants soon.
