why is everyone giving up on arajin as a character? i mean, don't get me wrong, it's totally okay not to like a character, of course, whatever the reason. but why are you saying it's bad writing? we only have 5 episodes, we barely know stuff about him and about his motives, i am pretty sure he will have the much awaited character development later in the story, as it usually happens.

i'll wait and see where the story goes. a lot of us want to see matakara and ara make up and we also want to see arajin finally being nicer to matakara, but this is the moment in the narration when arajin acts the way he acts. we are probably going to see what actually broke them apart, why arajin is so distant and his point of view AFTER the events that took place in the past when they were children.

there's still a lot to unfold. narrations need time to develop.

Daniel and Keaton thought it was best to start off their afternoon together by sitting down for a looong get-to-know-you conversation! Our bachelor laughed and fussed with his hair while Keaton explained his life, his daughter, and his love of horses.

It was a bit intense for Keaton, to sit there and talk about himself with Daniel’s rapt and unbroken attention. But the two of them seemed to enjoy talking about their hobbies and mutual love of animals, even if it didn’t do much to move their friendship bar!

AU where Bobby got super sick his Freshman year after he’d already been accepted into the rowing team, but before his first race. And he had to get surgery and had some complications, because of course he does, and he’s forced to drop out that semester and quit the rowing team because he’s in the hospital for so long. He comes back the next semester but isn’t able to rejoin the rowing team because they’re mid season.

The next year he’s so freaking determined to make the team and he does. Then the year after that, technically his junior year, he makes Varsity. Then there’s the issues and he gets kicked off, but brought back a several weeks into his “senior” year to cox the JV crew and they win gold at the Olympics. He’s left feeling super accomplished and everyone is super excited for him because like like what a way to go out for your last year. But sike, he’s actually gotta stick around for another semester because he’s behind on some credits he missed his freshman year, not that anyone on the crew knows that. And he would love to stay with his boys for another year, even if he’s gotta stay for another full year and even if they lose every race (which Bobby knows for a fact they won’t), it’ll be worth it.

He’s a pre-law student so he looks through the every handbook and rulebook for athletics and academics and he discovers that technically he’s still eligible since he didn’t even get to compete in a single race his freshman year. So he gathers his extensive medical records and stuff and goes to Ulbrickson. He keeps it a secret because he doesn’t want to get the other boys’ hopes up, and the other coaches have to agree to it or something.

TLDR; Bobby gets redshirted his Freshman year due to medical reasons (ie dropped out of school and rowing for his first semester) and finds a way to get approved for a “fifth” year

A monster witch who murderer her poor husband: This story makes me sick to my stomach

I was looking up murder stories because I was bored and I found this. When I read it, I actually cried. It made so mad and so sad. The psychological and physical torture this man had to go through is just horrific and this woman got a pleasure out of it. This worthless fucking whore beat and tortured her poor husband and starved him. If someone did that to brother/cousins/whatever, I’m LITERALLY ripping their teeth out.

Edit: she was given a 32 year minimum sentence in 2010 when she was 28 and IIRC she could possibly be eligible for parole when she’s 60 (though hopefully she never leaves prison)

i am so frustrated by people who dont seem to understand that the amagis are ainu.

like sure, part of it is that the story itself is often not the best about it, because the !! main story conflates their ethnicity with some weird vague idea of old traditional values that are “bad” and that doesn’t really work in a narrative sense! because while Hiiro is struggling against the mindset that his only value is as Rinne’s second (ie the bad traditional values) his story is also about trying to find a middle ground in existing in the es as an idol and being indigenous - which is very very important to him!!!! the part where Rinne disowns him is often read as just Hiiro losing the framework of where his place is in the world, but it is very specifically him also losing his identity. his family and village and ethnic background is very very important to Hiiro and people wouldn’t downplay this so much if they just remembered that he. is. indigenous.

this ramble is already a bit long so i’m not going into Rinne’s side of it but it is similarly often forgotten by fans how his story is about a person who thinks the only way he can have value in this world is by renouncing his heritage and assimilating. and the fact that he basically canonically has a gambling addiction is either played for jokes or totally downplayed like ohh he is just trying to get money for his friends. like no! he is struggling and while a gacha game of all things will not admit this, fans should!!
