Sidney Powell is a co-conspirator with Donald Trump in the Georgia election interference case.
Powell has copped a plea deal with prosecutors which keeps her out of prison.
In general, prosecutors are not this generous with defendants unless they can provide a HÜGE boost to the cases against more prominent co-defendents.
If Sidney Powell has useful information hitherto unknown to the prosecution, then Donald Trump should worry.
To put it more colloquially, Powell flipped. This is awful news for Donald Trump, as Powell also immediately becomes the highest-level known cooperating witness against him. Given what we know about Powell’s role in the days surrounding Jan. 6 and the very lenient terms of her plea deal, she appears poised to offer damning testimony against the former president.
How seriously will we be able to take that testimony? Given her history of flamboyant statements and conspiracy theories, former federal prosecutor Norman L. Eisen notes that “the jury is literally out on how probative she will be as a witness.” He continued: “She may have particularly damning pieces of information to share with a jury that are corroborated so that any credibility issues are bolstered by other witnesses, documents, or evidence.”
Trump's defense attorneys could bizarrely claim that because Powell has spread crazy conspiracy theories in the past that she is not a credible witness. But such a defense would largely be negated by Trump's own adoption of many of those same conspiracy theories.
Regardless, this case just got a lot more interesting.

TRUMP WILL NOT BE PRESIDENT AGAIN—IT WILL BE HIS CHOICE
By Arlen Grossman/ DailyKos.com/ September 27, 2023
None of us knows what will happen election night, 2024. But if I were in Las Vegas and could make a bet on the outcome, I would bet Donald Trump would not be on the ballot.
Many observers look at his lead in the polls and are certain he will be the Republican nominee for president. I am not one of those people.

Why are these two gentleman, Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, not national heroes? Instead, Representative Melanie Stansbury (D, NM) indicated that their testimony before her committee was a waste of the committee's time.
Instead of honoring these two stand-up government employees, they are known anonymously as IRS whistleblowers. Who admires anyone from the IRS, you might ask? Anyone who tells the truth in this political environment deserves respect, a lot of it.
I'll tell you why Stansbury, and practically every other elected Democrat in Washington, would like Mr. Shapley and Mr. Ziegler to go away. Anything that hurts Biden, and therefore helps Trump, deserves anathema. Of course the Justice Department wants to arrange a lenient deal for Hunter Biden. If he goes to prison, he'll never be out of the news. We want Donald Trump in prison, not Hunter Biden.
That's what you get when you use criminal law to practice politics. Democrats sanctimoniously intone that "no one is above the law," in reference to Trump's misdeeds. When investigators try to apply the same principle to the president's son, you get, "Give these jerks the hook. If the attorney general says these two low-level IRS investigators are not telling the truth, whom will you believe? The head of the Justice Department, or a couple of people we never heard of before?"
The fact is, IRS investigations uncovered bribes so large - five million dollars apiece for Joe and Hunter - that we may as well call this pair the Biden crime family. You have to wonder, in light of what the then vice-president and his son were up to, why the son would leave his computer at a Delaware repair shop for a year and a half, only to have messages from his hard drive appear in the New York Post two weeks before the 2020 election. Did he just forget about it there?
Imagine the conversation between father and son:
So, tell me about this computer.
I spilled coffee on it.
That's not actually what I wanted to know.
I have no excuse. Let's have fifty-one former intelligence officials write a letter that the messages on my computer are a Russian disinformation project - that it has all the earmarks of Russian intelligence.
How would Russian intelligence have access to your laptop, Hunter?
How the hell would I know? The repair shop owner might have connected it to the wrong network, or Russian agents could have bribed him.
You can't always blame other people for your mistakes, son.
That sounds like a reference to my daughter in Oklahoma.
As I say in public, I love you, son. But you're a fuck-up.
