TOH Theory: Grimwalkers and the Day of Unity

Okay, we all know that Dana has been foreshadowing Grimwalkers for a long time now.

In the very first Easter egg about them, we saw a list of ingredients to make them, and given what else has happened this season, I think it’s extremely likely that there will be more Grimwalkers on The Day of Unity, or at the very least, Belos has been planning for Hunter to betray him for a very, very long time.

Here’s what you need to make them:

A galdorstone

Selkidomus scales

Stonesleeper lungs

Palistrom wood

And a Bone of Ortet

The Head Witch of the Illusionist Coven, Adrian Graye, mentioned in Labyrinth Runners that a galdorstone would make “an excellent gift for the Emperor”, and that he (Adrian) had been trying to find The Looking Glass Graveyard.

Belos himself sent Hunter to slay a Selkidomus.

Phillip Wittebane/Belos has been seen interacting with a Stonesleeper, and he needs Palistrom wood to keep his curse at bay.

Palistrom wood, as we know, is a wood that can be carved and enchanted for witches to make Palismen. Essentially, the familiars of this world.

So, something about Palistrom wood has to have a life-giving quality, otherwise witches would be able to make Palismen out of anything. And galdorstones, as we know, amplify any magic.

The other materials are exceedingly rare, and since we’ve seen Hunter getting his cronies to slay a Selkidomus, we know the Emperor wants these things.

So, I think Belos wants to make more Grimwalkers.

Now, this could just be to replace Hunter, but let’s think about this logically. Belos told Hunter in Hollow Mind that he thought Hunter would last longer than the other Grimwalkers, meaning Belos must’ve thought he had time before he had to make another one.

So, sending Hunter to gather the same materials that made him doesn’t seem reasonable, unless Belos just wants to be extra prepared.

Now, he does expect every Golden Guard to betray him at some point, because every Golden Guard has.

So how fucking twisted is that, making his “nephew” unknowingly collect the materials that his replacement will be made from, right after Belos kills him.

But he was expecting Hunter to last longer, so I think he’s also planning something bigger. Something like a Grimwalker army.

OOC POST, LORE DUMP

It is 21st century. Brothers Wittebane from one of the Connecticut Christian orphanages finally get adopted by Masha Delisle. Philip is exited to get "normal" life within a "proper" family, while Caleb doesnt look as happy about "another prison".

While brothers try to unpack their belongings Caleb sees a strange cloaked figure digging through the trash. Older brother runs after it, curious about who the mysterious person might be. Philip follows them only to stop Caleb and bring him back.

Brothers run through the portal door and enter the demon realm. Immediately after witches and demons see them having rounded ears they call for the guards, screaming in panic. Philip tries to drag Caleb back through the portal door, but it had already disappeared without a trace. So brothers are chased by the coven scouts untill they get rescued by non other than Evelyn, the mysterious trash-theif.

In the owl house two brothers meet Evelyn's aunt Lilith and little demon Queen. They are so exited to meet real humans in flesh and blood! But still, they ask for a favor to help them retrieve the Queens lost "Burger King" crown from the Conformatorium and promise to get brothers home right after that.

But after the first-day adventure Caleb is determined to stay in the Demon Realm. So Philip felt obligated to stay too. So that is how the story starts.

As it later turns out, everything regarding Humans and their realm is considered a great threat to all witches. So it is illegal to even say anything positive about "the round eared folk". Most of the "scary humanity" talk is spread by the tyranical empress Luzura - the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles.

Despite that both Brothers are able to attend Hexide, with the great help and understanding of principal Raine Wispers. There, Caleb befriends young Darius and Alador. Philip joins the "Terror gang" with Terra and Adrian with whom he happily terrorises the school.

For short: Wittebros and Luz switch places so now she’s the evil empress and the bros are modern day humans who entered the demon realm.

Phillip's death is so freaking poetic man... he gets melted by water, like witches in the stories, witches he's tried for centuries to get rid of, he grovels at the feat of a real witch, a human similar to him who built herself up until she was nothing like him, he tries to use the 'friendship' excuse, but we're so obviously past it, and even as Luz positions herself above him, not bothering to stoop and finish him off personally, the rest of the other characters he hurt come in and get some petty revenge. He is dissolved by the boiling rain, a statement from the Isles, the same Isles that hid the glyphs from him, the same Isles he took over and tried to destroy. Nothing will remain of him, and it is merely his fault.

This is swap au, which main goal was to make Philip Luz's mentor and father figure👉👈. This au is silly. And it's not thought out further than the main gang, so don't ask me questions about its lore, I don't know it myself. But it's still one of my oldest and beloved aus

I've been hiding it under my desk more than 7 months for a reason, if you interested, there's an explanation under the cut

2022-2023 winter was an emotionally difficult time for me. So I created The Shadow House and found comfort and consolation in it. I was really sensitive about this au so I was afraid to show it off. And when The Finally was released it DIDN'T help

When the fandom gone crazy I thought HELL NAH, F*CK IT. I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS SHIT. SHADOW HOUSE WILL STAY WITH ME BECAUSE IT'S TOO PERSONAL FOR ME AND IF SO-CALLED"FANS" START THROWING MUD AT IT, I WON'T GO THROUGH THIS
