But you have to promise me 1 thing: that you’ll believe
Matthew 9:29 Then Jesus put his hands over their eyes and said, “You will have what your faith expects!” Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “It shall be done to you according to your faith.”

This video shows the making of the bridge in the legendary song “Rock Your Body” By Justin Timberlake. Pharell was a producer on this album and this song is a staple of music in the early 2000’s. I love this video because it shows how talented Pharell is not only does he sing but he produces as well. Many people think that artists go into the studio to sing for an hour and that’s it. But there is so much work that goes into detail in making a song. I will always admire and respect Pharell as an artist and I can now be able to dissect this song thoroughly and recognizing all the little details that go into it.

Jumped out of my comfort zone and went to a beach party then a football tournament and then a FIFA tournament the day after. The more I hang out around men the less strange they seem they’re cool fr. It was fun just like the barbershop movies w Micheal ealy FINE self happy Father’s Day!!
Also finally confronting my fear of basketball due to judgement that I was only watching it for the fine men - in the barbershop had a brief discussion about how Jordan Poole seems to have fallen from Grace after his shattering entrance into the NBA. it made me feel like it’s okay to keep track of him to see if he’ll come back up - i’m rooting for him.

funny story time:
I was helping my dad set up his pizza stall in the weekend bazaar and we got a much better spot than the previous time we were there. We brought his speaker in case we needed to play some music, but when we got to our spot and started to set up, the stall next to us was playing mid-2000s jams (a lot of Sean Paul, Snoop Dogg & Pharell, Beyonce’s earlier solo stuff, DILEMMA by Nelly and Kelly Rowland) and I was like “no we don’t need to play music because the guy controlling the music next to us has taste”
coincidentally we both had the same speakers too.

Kelis Says Beyonce And Pharrell Steal Sample Of Her Song
Kelis is accusing Beyonce, Pharrell and her team of sampling one of her songs without her permission. Kelis took to Instagram to comment that the song "Energy" from Beyonce's highly anticipated new album Renaissance, contains parts of her 1999 song “Get Along With You.” She wrote, “It’s not a collab, it’s theft.” When a fan expressed disgust with the purported theft, Kelis wrote back, “It’s ridiculous.”

She also released a video speaking about the issue. She expresses that they should have the decency to call and reach out to her, letting her know that they would be using the song on the project. "From one artist to another, you should have the decency and the common sense and the courtesy to call, reach out..." The "Bossy" singer then noted that it was a passive-aggressive move on their part. While Pharrell produced the 2000 hit, it is has been an ongoing issue of not giving the artist a heads up. “The reason why I’m annoyed is that I know it was on purpose. This was an on-purpose, direct hit. Pharell knows better, this a direct hit at me, its very petty..." As Kelis mentioned, other artists have sampled her work as well.

Artists Sampling Kelis' Music
As Kelis mentioned in the video, young artist Ashnikko reached out to Kelis and sampled her song "Deal With It," which also notes that Kelis is featured on it. The Internet sampled her song "Perfect Day" for their song "Partners In Crime Part Two." Rochelle Jordan sampled her song "Mars" for her song "Earth To Brain." Kelis will and always be a treasure to the music industry as she continues to inspire so many artists today.
