my s/i is able to transform into a wolf, it usually happens when it's angry or scared. BUT sometimes it's able to transform without those emotions, like shown in picture

(it never actually knew it could transform until all those monsters started attacking the city. so like. probably around the sp1der queen special. because s/i does end up scrambling for its life at one point and bro was absolutely terrified)

Kalluto & Illumi drabble, 700 words exactly.

Illumi stands with his hands loose at his sides, hair flowing out into the open air. Kalluto watches him from closer to the door; the railing is high above the ocean, and Kalluto feels nervous despite himself.

“How have you been?” Illumi asks, turning his face towards Kalluto.

Kalluto blinks. They’ve been in silence for so long that he hadn’t expected anything from Illumi—they’re not close, barely brothers at all compared to their connections with Killua. “I’m well,” he says, softly. “The Phantom Troupe treats me well.”

Illumi hums.

“What about you?” Kalluto asks, out of obligation more than anything. The veneer of politeness disappears quickly, though—he’s good at twisting knives both physical and metaphorical. “I thought Father said to stay away from the Spiders, so why did you come?”

“Says the one who joined them,” Illumi says with a smile. Teasing, maybe, but his tone doesn’t come across.

Kalluto doesn’t wince. “Mother gave me permission.”

“Of course.”

“That doesn’t explain you,” Kalluto says. He and Illumi have spent years circling around each other in the Zoldyck mansion, so they know how to exist near each other—but since Kalluto left there’s been a heavy fog on all his interactions with his family.

Something he doesn’t want to think about.

Kalluto remembers being little and watching Illumi leave, just like most of the family did—assassinations take time away from the mansion, and Illumi was so good at it even before Kalluto followed suit. That was normal, and Kalluto has never minded being left with the butlers, or staying with his mother.

Back then, Kalluto had never watched Illumi kill anyone. Even when Illumi taught Kalluto how to start honing his Nen, it was built off expectations for Kalluto’s future, a future which Illumi had already reached.

All those expectations were funneled into Killua—and where did that lead them? Kalluto tries not to think about Killua leaving the family, running off with friends. Killua was allowed to come back and then vanish again; it makes an ugly feeling rise in Kalluto’s throat.

Illumi watches him silently for too long, enough to make Kalluto’s skin itch. His eyes are blank as always.

“Anyway,” Kalluto says, eyes pinned on the horizon. “Even if you’re here for Hisoka, it’s fine if you stay after we get rid of him. I’m sure the boss will accept you.”

“You really do talk like a Spider, Kalluto,” Illumi sighs.

Kalluto doesn’t look at him. This is a betrayal of the family—even if Mother gave permission, Father never has. Someday, Kalluto will be called back and forced to leave the Phantom Troupe. He’ll go back to that mansion, and maybe—just maybe—his brother will be back too by then. Things will slot back into place with Kalluto in the destiny he was born for, the thing which Illumi and their mother trained them for.

“I’m not staying,” Illumi says. “After I get what I need from Hisoka, there’s no need for me to play games with Chrollo—I just help him out when he needs me.”

“I understand.” Illumi is different from Kalluto. They’ve known this from the start.

“You, on the other hand,” Illumi adds, “are an actual member. You’re free to stay if you wish, of course—but Mother does miss you.”

Kalluto’s heart tightens into a knot. “I know,” he says. He loves Mother, had wanted to follow behind her skirt for the rest of his life. This is what made him feel worthy, once. But now, with the Phantom Troupe—now, with his whole life in front of him—

Kalluto turns his head toward the door. “I’ll consider leaving with you, when this is over.”

Illumi makes an approving noise—the same noise he used to make to Kalluto when he was able to use Zetsu with ease, a skill that would be perfect for assassinations. “You’re a good kid, Kalluto.”

Kalluto ducks his head. “Thank you.”

But he doesn’t feel as thankful as he wants to. He feels a bit like he’s spinning in circles, dizzy in the presence of someone so familiar, someone who took care of him, but never cared for him. As quickly as he can, he slips out the door and away from his brother.

The other day there was a livestream to celebrate the 5th anniv of hpm and it included most of the mvs and live presentation of some of the songs (as well as an in depth interview analysis of the group songs of season 2 i WISH i understood that)

and at some point they put a live version of every single of the 1st group songs of the saga........

Except for FP where they went to kill me personally by putting on Stella.

And i still haven’t recovered like, the power this song has on me is so unreal, i legit cried on the spot and now i still think about it, haunting me.

and it’s so funny bc for every other live it was their 1st band song. but for FP they really went “SMT who? anyway here’s their 2nd group song” because they KNOW it emotionally damaged any FP stans and we’re never free. It’s been haunting me for days.

#so much for not talking about hpm on main but i swear i got emotional dmg out of it #i've seen someone mention how it kinda makes sense since SMT was very superficial in term of how their relationship presents itself #compared to every single other group songs #bc yknow they were strangers and everything #and Stella was the moment that really showed the depth of their bonds #but let's be real it's also bc Stella is the most popular FP song that none of us has been normal about ever since #*puts hand in the water and sighs lovingly* Stella...... #peten dont look #ichatalks about hpm #also i talked about the interviews where i didn't get much except the sections about which were the favorite lyrics of the seiyuu #the Black Journey's selection killed me i can't live like this. Like they pinpointed my favorite lines and im just oh okay! #and i've seen my FP timeline mention that the FP seiyuu mentioned FP appeals to people 'because of their sense of loneliness' #implying that people are fans of FP because they're lonely and their songs reflect this feeling of finally finding people after being lonely #and im just bites fist bites fist don't call me out like that #okay back to being normal on main

Yesterday I went to put my retainer on (you know, the thing I put in my MOUTH) and there was. a spider. On my retainer.

SO YEAH I DIDN’T EXACTLY. WEAR IT LAST NIGHT. AND TODAY I FORGOT TO CLEAN IT and I COULD clean it now but I’d have to choose a mug to put the cleaning stuff in and I don’t remember if it makes mugs unusable afterwards (until washing) or not (my parents use the same mug every time, but the mug I used before has disappeared ????????? What the fuck) so like I don’t want to temporarily ruin a mug with cleaning solution. So I’ll just wait until tomorrow to ask my mom where the mug I usually use is. Or whatever.

I’m... lucky that I only have to wear my retainer a couple times a week. I still wear it every night so that I don’t lose the habit (otherwise I’d forget entirely) but this won’t. kill me. I’m also very paranoid that another spider will be there so I’m going to move the retainer container to my room after cleaning it :((

I saw a centipede which is my one specific insect phobia and it freaked me out really badly and for a bit I couldn’t stop shaking and I’m not sure I could sleep if I tried and then I go to my room and immediately see a spider. Okay. I see how it is.

headcanon that one day Chikage and Hisoka are discussing some stuff in the garden that refers to spy stuff (though vague enough that it doesn’t seem to be about them), and, for some reasons, they didn’t hear that someone had got close to them until they hear a “oh that’s the hardest part of being a spy” and they turn around to see Taichi,

and Chikage who was not there for Act 1 having a moment of pause looking back and forth between Hisoka and Taichi because what. what. what.
