Not sure if it’s relatable but...

I’ve been unhappy for the last couple of weeks. Not sure what about but it’s there. The weather has been terrible and I’ve been feeling pretty stressed out.

I’ve tried praying a bit more than I usually would but that’s all I’ve really done- tried. Sometimes I can’t get the words out. Other times, I don’t even know what in particular I’m praying about.

All I know is I’ve been unhappy. The exact source of my unhappiness? Haven’t got a clue, but it’s there.

I don’t think I’m depressed but it’s my reality at the moment so I might as well talk about it before it gets any worse.

The sooner I admit there’s an issue, the quicker I can figure it out.

What are the 3 words when put together, they can do wonders? Those magical 3 words that give some butterflies in their stomach while others run for their life if stated by someone they dislike? Yes, you guessed it right, it's "I Love You", said in a 100 different ways on 1000 different days. But, how often do we say, "I Love Me"? ° You are Plum. Too tiny. Over smart. A total dumbo. Such a shortie. Open-minded. Why such a giraffe? Get out of your shell, you Introvert. What a Beautiful Mess. Why do we hide behind these labels? Why is it that on some level we feel we are not good enough? Who taught us that we need to see a certain number on a scale to be happy? When was it decided that we need to look a particular way to be accepted? Hey listen, you are either as beautiful or as ugly as you believe you are. You define your beauty both inward or outward. That's not a power anyone can have over you. You are a miracle just the way you are. Remember, life happens for you-not to you! ° If there is one thing that has to change, it would be the way we greet eachother with disses about appearances! (OMG, look at how much you have gained since we last met. Oh Dude, where has your hair gone? Damn Gurl, you look tired which is another way of saying you are unpleasant to their eyes). People of the 21st Century, please be civil. How come we don't compliment eachother instead? Why is it easier to judge than to understand one another? I always believe in the sikhism policy: "If you can't say anything good about someone then don't say anything at all". So, stop judging and going hard on yourself. Take care how you speak to yourself first because you are listening too. And the next time, someone even acts upon labelling you, jump in and say: "I don't want to just look pretty, I have something to say. It's not your job to like me, it's MINE. A couple of weeks back, in our 'Leadership, Engagement, and Motivation' module, we were asked to share a LOLLIPOP MOMENT we encountered. Now, before my like-minded friends who would lean heavily towards a double entendre assuming I am talking about the song 'Lollipop' by Lil Wayne, let me explain the term. The term 'Lollipop Moment' coined by Drew Dudley at TEDxToronto 2010 stands for: A moment where somebody said something or did something that you feel fundamentally made your life better. In simple words, it refers to Everyday Leadership. At the time this question was posed, I was not sure of one particular moment that I could pick to share but I was certain of the person with whom I have had several such profound moments of leadership. Those who know him and his value in my life, they would have already guessed, it is Ashwin AKA Achu I am talking about...❤️ Where do I begin? Achu, hands down was, is and always will be one of the most Humane and exceptional Leaders I have crossed paths with. He uses his innate Human riches such as compassion, integrity and (invisible) undying support to build every individual that is entrusted to him. I fail to pick a Lollipop Moment because with him, every moment was and still is inspirational. Every action, thoughtful and purposeful left us inspired to not only be a better team player but also engulfed us, warming our heart in to being a better Human and leaving behind a LEGACY. I am blessed to be born at the same time that he exists in this massive Universe and all the more privileged to have him as a friend for life. Thank You Achu for bringing me to the light from the dark dungeon I had sworn to lock myself in. When it comes to You, I will always have a basket filled with different flavoured lollipops (moments). You know how when you are taking a stroll in a park and step over an ant colony, obviously unknowingly (no comments if you do it on purpose). Similarly, it is possible that without your knowledge, your actions or words may be causing a death to a fellow Human's soul. Now, some may say, they are to be held accountable for how their words or actions are preceived. Others might argue that some people are just too sensitive, overthink or should just take life lightly. You can frame it however you want but you need to know Humans in our lives come from different walks of life and what is once said and done cannot be undone. 'Solicitude' is a dying art. And do not even get me started about 'Courtesy'; surely buried 6 feet under, decades ago. For whatever time we got on this Planet, I hope our advocacy remains: To change the world with our example, not our opinion. Let's watch where we walk, let's look out for colonies of ants and other minute creatures. May we learn how to walk, talk or breathe without bringing any discomfort to other living things and if we do so, may we be Human enough to be explicable about it. I have not faced an impactful loss by death at a close proximity but I do have a great deal of experience in deaths of relationships of all nature. I believe, we must have these dialogues and fail to understand why people shy away from it or fake please others. Some name it a character flaw or consider it an immoral deed referring to religious beliefs, going ahead and putting one in a box or stating that they lack people management skills. Well, it is absolutely okay to let relationships die. You heard it. We have got to normalise not liking people without conflict. It is not a beef, it is all about the vibe. No two people are the same and shared vibes, energies and wavelengths are still a thing of the present. There are several maneuvering methods of dealing our emotions and every Human adapts a unique coping mechanism when any sort of discomfort falls upon them by circumstances either given birth intentionally or unintentionally by a fellow being. To be precise, it is not a death of a relationship. It is the death of the dynamic between the two at that stage of the relationship. A person is never wholly toxic by nature but most times, they can be toxic for the other person in the equation or it bodes both ways. Some relationships are not worth saving, atleast not in that moment or phase of our life. When someone ghosts you (physically/metaphorically/emotionally or all three), respect the dead and move on. Our ego or the society's voices in our head can rest for a day. Lift that dead relationship, bury it, sit through the mourning period. Take that rigidity ride but do not indulge in it, deal with it. For now, put your energy into the right people and over the years, you may find yourself reconnecting with the same being and a more healthy relationship will rekindle. I personally prefer losing the relationship than them being taken away by death because that way, I know someday when we both are on the same rainbow scale, we will cross over, meet in the middle and be in the light together. Why yes, I am a Panda! Too many signs that can't be denied. I love my own company. I cherish all of the 'alone time' that come my way, which is almost 3/4th of my life. I crave for silence like a fat kid would crave for MacD fries. When I am upset or angry, I just shut down; there ain't any point in heated converations. Words fall short for the extreme emotions I feel. No, I don't frown or shed tears when I am alone in my fury. Instead, I smile at all the funny characters life has sent my way. I do roll around a lot in bed when asleep and daily among crowds when awake; you could call me a 'Mobile Accident'. Food is constantly on my mind and I could assure that you would find me munching on something even in the dawn of day. Duh! I am not chubby, I am just fluffy.
