One year ago today, a handful of people in south London saw an immigration raid happening in their neighbourhood and intervened by blocking the "snatch van" intended to use to spirit away their neighbours. Soon it seemed like everyone in Peckham was out standing with them, surrounding the would-be kidnapperss and their police escort. After a tense stand off, the kidnappers and coppers backed down and were unceremoniously run out of the neighbourhood!

Brick Brewery Peckham Pale APA (Picked up at a Whole Foods in London, UK). A 3 of 4. The hop profile is right with some nice standard pine/citrus in the nose, and a touch of resin in the finish. On the lighter side of things, which is expected, but this has a nice medium body and is quite enjoyable.

People in Peckham managed to block an immigration raid today.
This type of direct action/resistance is so important and it reminds us that we truly have the power to protect our own communities from those who would harm them.

Rye Lane is such a cute film, I need more Black people to go to the cinema and watch it PLEASE🙏🏾
Because why was I one of 5 Black people at the cinema and everyone was white? If it's a price thing, Peckhamplex is showing the film for £5.49 while other cinemas is £17 if anything
